Chapter 79 Do Anything for You

Book:Please Let Me Go, Mr. Sheridan Published:2024-8-20

Jim just arrived at the company’s entrance and thought about the lipstick that Callum gave him. Although he didn’t know why Aurelia refused, the fact that he bought Aurelia gifts meant Callum was warming up to her.
“Okay, I got it.” After hanging up the phone with Jim, Rory called Aurelia.
When Aurelia saw the words “Rory Gallagher” flashing on the phone screen, she realized that she hadn’t seen Rory for a long time.
“Hello, Rory.”
“Hello, Mrs. Finnegan. Boohoo…”
Aurelia shuddered when she heard him cry. “What’s wrong with you?”
The next moment, Rory’s voice became cautious. “Mrs. Finnegan, is Mr. Finnegan with you?”
“No.” She was about to go to Callum’s office to return the lipstick to him.
When Rory heard that Callum was not around, his voice changed again. “Mrs. Finnegan, I was sent down to a construction site because I protected you before, but I have been working here for a month and have suffered enough. Mrs. Finnegan, when you’re having fun, have you ever felt heartbroken when you think of me?”
Rory was sent down to a construction site? And because he protected her?
She knew nothing about it!
“I didn’t know you went to the construction site!”
Rory said cheekily, “Mrs. Finnegan, now that you know about this, can you rescue me? If you can get me back to the company, I promise to do everything for you in the future!”
Aurelia couldn’t help but ask, “If you do everything for me, what about Callum?”
“Anything for the two of you.”
After hanging up the phone, Aurelia stared at the boxes of lipstick in a daze. She could have just returned the lipsticks with a clear conscience. But since she knew Rory was struggling at the construction site, she needed to think about returning the lipsticks carefully.
In ZL Group.
This was Aurelia’s third visit to Callum’s company. She heard that Callum had just returned from discussing business with a client.
When she entered the company, she was greeted by the same employee, Anna Virginia.
This time, when she saw Aurelia, she trotted over and said with a smile, “Hello, Miss Sheridan, are you here to see the president? Mr. Finnegan just got back. I’ll take you there right away.”
Her enthusiasm left Aurelia a little speechless, and she could only respond with a smile, “Okay, thank you.”
She successfully reached the 66th floor, and the first person to see her was a female secretary, Willow Gray.
The first time Aurelia came to the company, she didn’t notice her. The second time she came, Willow wasn’t there. It was the first time she saw Aurelia and met her face to face. “Miss Virginia, who is she?”
Anna explained, “Willow, this is Miss Sheridan. The president personally asked me to bring her directly to the president’s office.”
Hearing her say this, Willow looked at Aurelia a few more times, and finally said lightly, “I’ll take her in right away.”
Aurelia smiled and said politely, “Thank you.”
Willow glanced at her, said nothing, and turned to lead her towards the president’s office.
Looking at her back, Aurelia curled her lips. Of the three Callum’s secretaries she had met, Willow was the only one who acted aloof in front of her.
There was a knock on the office door, and Callum’s voice came from inside. “Come in.”
Pushing open the office door, Willow said respectfully, “Mr. Finnegan, Miss Sheridan is here to see you.”
Aurelia took a step forward to get a better look inside the office.
Callum was sitting on the sofa working. There was a woman sitting next to his desk, doing her homework. Laura Again.
“Aurelia is here. Please come in!” Laura had just finished speaking when she came in front of Aurelia.
Was it because Callum’s secretary was standing next to her, so she deliberately projected an image that she was kind and sweet? Aurelia really didn’t mean to think of Laura like this. She just couldn’t help it.
Callum put down the file and gently rebuked Laura, “Don’t be disrespectful.”
Laura held Aurelia’s arm intimately, “Callum, Aurelia and I are about the same age. We look like sisters. Right, Aurelia?”
Seeing Laura looking at her expectantly, Aurelia couldn’t really laugh. She knew Laura didn’t treat her badly, but she didn’t know why she was so hostile towards her.
She barely curled the corners of her lips and nodded as a response.
Callum didn’t say anything else. He stood up from the couch, “Come in.”
Aurelia bit her lower lip, took another look at the homework spread out on the desk, and finally refused. She didn’t want to go in, so she handed the handbag in her hand to Laura beside her and said, “No, I’m just here to return something. I’m leaving.”
Laura called her out, “Aurelia…”
Aurelia ignored it.
“Stop!” A cold voice came from behind her.
Willow gasped beside her. Who on earth was this woman? Her relationship with Mr. Finnegan seemed so weird.
Aurelia paused and turned back. “What’s wrong? I have to rush to school.”
At the same time, Laura had already opened a box of her unopened lipstick. As if she didn’t notice anything strange between the two of them, she exclaimed, “Oh my goodness! It’s so pretty! I don’t even have this shade yet! Callum, did you ask Aurelia to buy gifts for me?”
Both Aurelia and Callum were speechless.
Aurelia was sure that what she just said was returning something, not giving her gifts. How could she think that Callum bought her gifts?
She smiled coldly, her eyes falling on Callum, saying. “Yes, that was bought specially for you by Callum. The lipstick is a limited edition. Keep it well!”
Laura put the lipstick into her handbag and ran to Callum happily. “Thank you, Callum! I like it so much!” Under Aurelia’s gaze, she stood on tiptoes and kissed Callum on the cheek.
She kissed Callum just like she kissed Elliot.
Willow quietly returned to her seat after seeing this. It turned out that her guess was right. In her eyes, Laura would become the Madam of the Finnegan Clan. Although there was a ten-year age difference, if it was true love, age was not a problem.
But what was wrong with the woman at the door? How could she be so oblivious? Why was she still standing there and didn’t leave when the two of them were about to make out with each other? Willow even wanted to chase Aurelia away.
Aurelia looked at Laura in shock. She kissed Elliot in front of Renata that night, and even kissed Callum in front of her today!
Suddenly, she seemed to understand what Renata meant by being wary of Laura.
At this time, Laura seemed to realize that she had gone too far, and she apologized to Aurelia helplessly, “Aurelia, I’m sorry. I was used to it before. Now that I know you are Callum’s wife, I will not do this again…”
Already used to it? How many times had Laura kissed Callum?
Did they ever kiss like Callum and herself?
