Feeling her wavering, Callum assured, “As for our marriage, it was on me. You did nothing wrong. Give me some time to make amends. Later on, you also have the right to choose whether to be with me or not. My only request is that you do not cheat on me.”
She swallowed before replying, “What if I…” She put away her hesitance and continued, “What if I fall in love with another man?”
Callum looked at her deeply and said, “I won’t give you the chance to fall in love with someone else.” After hearing her say that, he recalled she once said that she fell in love with someone else. It turned out that she said that to get a divorce.
A tiny bit of hope in Aurelia’s heart was shattered.
Something seemed to be wrong, but Aurelia wasn’t thinking straight and couldn’t figure out what it was.
Aurelia’s bewildered expression made her look indescribably cute, and her red lips slightly parted as she was about to speak, making him unable to hold back and lower his head again.
She pushed Callum away before protesting, “Why are you kissing me again?”
Now she knew what was wrong! He just kissed her! And he kissed her twice! It was after the kiss that she started to feel confused. She was successfully seduced by him!
“Is it wrong for me to kiss my wife?” He brought up their marriage again.
“Of course it’s wrong! Don’t forget you kicked me out of the mall, threw me into the sea, and had someone bury me alive!” She angrily accused him, mixed with a bit of grievance.
Did all girls love to bring up past grievances like this?
“You should have told me that you were my wife the time I wanted to kick you out of the mall!” If he had known at the time that Aurelia was his wife, he would definitely not have done that.
So was she the one to be blamed?
“But since you found out my identity, you have manipulated me in various ways and treated me like your daughter! And you even grounded me for days!”
Callum was determined not to back down on this matter. “If you don’t study well in school, of course I have to intervene!”
The intimacy in the air disappeared. As their eyes met, sparks of anger in their eyes surged. “You are too nosy, Callum!”
Nosy? Callum stiffened and his face turned cold.
The man’s eyes were deep and sharp. He took a step forward. Aurelia immediately took a step back and took a defensive posture. “I’m warning you. If you approach me again, I’ll make you pay!”
“Really? I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do!” Callum exerted force and pushed Aurelia against the desk behind him as she screamed.
Their posture was very intimate. Aurelia moved her arms stiffly and warned, “Let go of me!”
“Go to class in the afternoon! It will start at 3:30 p. m. You know where the classroom is. If I don’t see you there…” He pinched her waist as a warning.
Aurelia’s hand hurt as she said in embarrassment, “You… Let me go first!”
No one had ever treated her like this before, and Callum had been rude to her many times!
Aurelia swore she would retaliate one day!
Her cheeks were puffed up. Obviously, she was very angry, so Callum let her go.
Jim sent her back to the Finnegan family’s villa and left after handing her luggage to Mary. Before leaving, he reminded the sulking Aurelia, “Mrs. Finnegan, Mr. Finnegan said he wants to see you in the classroom on time at 3:30 p. m.”
It aroused her reluctance. Just because he wanted to see her didn’t mean she had to see him!
At 3:30 in the afternoon, Callum showed up on time in the classroom with a capacity of 1, 000 people. Before giving the lecture, he glanced around and was sure that there was no one he wanted to see. His face darkened.
He thought Aurelia would do as he asked!
Aurelia was found in a cafe around 6:00 p. m. When two bodyguards showed up, she was texting Briar via WhatsApp.
“Mrs. Finnegan, Mr. Finnegan asked us to take you back.”
Aurelia ignored them and continued typing on her phone.
The two bodyguards looked at each other helplessly. One of them uttered, “Mrs. Finnegan, Mr. Finnegan said that we can carry you out if necessary!”
“You guys can try!” Aurelia replied indifferently.
Perhaps Callum knew she was difficult to deal with, so one of the bodyguards took something out of his pocket and placed them in front of Aurelia. Two gold medals for boxing.
Aurelia finished her cake, stood up quickly, and followed the two bodyguards out of the cafe.
Damn! Where did Callum get these two boxing champions? How could she be a match for these two burly men?
The car was parked across the street. As soon as Aurelia opened the door, she saw the man in the back seat. He had his eyes closed, as if he didn’t notice her opening the door.
Getting in the car, one bodyguard sat in the driver’s seat, and the other sat in the passenger seat.
The car started and quickly drove off.
After some time, Aurelia felt something was off. This wasn’t the way home. The villa was in another direction, but now they seemed to be heading the other way. “Where are we going?”
No one answered her question.
She skipped Callum’s class. It would be a lie to say she wasn’t scared. It was getting darker outside, and the place she was going to became deserted. Her heart was pounding in terror.
Was he planning to find a deserted place and bury her alive again?
In her endless torment, the car finally stopped. The bodyguard got out first, and Aurelia sat still.
Was that a tombstone?
As the car door next to her was opened, Aurelia was asked to get out of the car by the bodyguard.
She looked around under the light of the car. Damn! Why did Callum bring her to the cemetery in the middle of the night?
Just as she was getting goosebumps all over her body, the two bodyguards returned to the car.
“Hey, what do you mean?” Aurelia couldn’t open the car door and knocked on the window.
The window in the back seat was rolled down, revealing Callum’s gloomy face. “This is the National Cemetery. Confess your sin to the dead!”
What the hell?
Aurelia was very afraid of the dark. Living alone in a villa was scary enough, and now she had to stay alone in a cemetery? Fear instantly enveloped her.
“No, I’m…” Scared. Before she could utter the last word, the car drove away.

Watching the car gradually get out of sight, Aurelia really wanted to curse! This was more horrible than burying her alive!
She took out her cell phone from his pocket with a trembling hand and called Briar despite the poor signal. But unfortunately, Briar’s phone was off!
