Fuck! Briar and she were chatting via WhatsApp not long ago. Where did he go now?
She then called Cathy, or Larry, and finally Liana. “Oh my god, what’s wrong with them? All their phones are off?” As she was about to lose her temper, Aurelia looked up and saw rows of tombstones. She was so scared that she kept saying, “God bless me.”
At this moment, all the friends that Aurelia had called were invited to a restaurant. After several men in black confiscated their phones and kept them in a private room.
Fortunately, there were all kinds of delicious food on the table. Not knowing Aurelia’s current situation, they were enjoying a big meal.
After staying in the cemetery for more than ten minutes, Aurelia almost cried, because she still couldn’t hail a cab. She huddled under a tree and continued to make phone calls, but the signal was too bad and she couldn’t get through.
What had she done to deserve this? Why would she end up marrying a scoundrel like Callum?
“If anyone here can hear me… I have no intention of offending you or disturbing you. Please don’t come after me. God bless me!”
“Cathy, Liana, Briar, Larry, I hate all of you! Oh! God bless me.”
“Callum, you deserve to die alone! Somebody help me!”
Fine! Aurelia finally gave in. She pulled out her phone and called Callum.
Because of the bad signal, she had to dial Callum’s number more than ten times before she finally got through. “Callum, I know I was wrong. Take me back… Beep beep beep…” However, she lost her signal, and the phone automatically hung up.
Aurelia was going to roar!
She had never met a man as cruel as Callum. He refused to divorce her, and he didn’t allow her to take a leave from school. In his eyes, no matter what she did, she was wrong! Why did he treat her like this?
Thinking of this, Aurelia cried.
The sobbing sound was very clear in the dark night. In the quiet cemetery, Aurelia’s sad wailing scared the grounkeeper so much that he dared not get close.
She didn’t know when there was a person standing in front of her.
When she wiped her tears and prepared to stand up and walk out by herself, she finally noticed a person standing in front of her. The scream instantly echoed in the cemetery for a long time.
The man quickly caught her and carried her sideways.
Seeing who it was, Aurelia cried even harder. “Let go of me! Don’t you care about me anymore?” She had never met such a heartless person!
There were quite a few women who cried in front of Callum. Nine out of ten of them cried because he ruthlessly rejected them.
Callum would only feel annoyed when he saw their tears and wanted them to get out of his face! Unlike now, when Aurelia was crying in his arms, his heart inexplicably clenched.
Maybe it was because he had been harsh on her for a long time, but she had never cried in front of him. Even when he had her thrown into the sea in the dark night, she did not shed a single tear and became more courageous…
He wanted to comfort her, but he was not very good at it, so he said dryly, “If you stop crying, I will take you home now.”
Aurelia immediately stopped crying and glared at him with red eyes and nose. But then she remembered that she needed him to take her home, so she dared not stare at him anymore. Her expression changed several times.
Callum’s eyes were filled with tenderness. He had never seen such a lovely woman like Aurelia.
After calming her down, he spoke up again in a cold voice, “Are you not thinking about how to retaliate when you get back, are you?”
How did he know? Aurelia choked in surprise and quickly denied, “No… Can we go home now?”
The cemetery was so dark and eerie that she didn’t dare look around.
He was not in a hurry. “Are you going to my class tomorrow?” He really didn’t know what was so scary here that would scare her like this.
“Yes, you have my word!” She didn’t want to come here again.
At the Finnegan family’s villa.
Upon returning to the villa, Aurelia quickly ran back to her room and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower.
She broke out in a cold sweat at the cemetery.
Before going to bed, Aurelia sent a message to several people in the WhatsApp chat group. “I’m not hanging out with you guys anymore!”
The people over there had just been freed. Only when they got their phones back did they see Aurelia’s message. They were puzzled and asked her what was wrong.
And when Briar called Aurelia, Liana saw the update Aurelia posted. “At this moment, the whole world has abandoned me!”
As soon as the call was connected, Briar said a lot of things. “Sheridan Buddy, what happened to you? Tonight, a group of bodyguards invited us to dinner. The meal was quite delicious, but they took away our phones. We just came out and got our phones back. Are you okay?”
Being treated to dinner by a group of bodyguards? When she was dumped in the cemetery? And they came out as soon as she came back? It must be Callum’s idea!
“Oh, I’m fine. I’m going to sleep. Are you guys okay?”
“We’re fine. We just don’t know who treated us to a big dinner. I wanted to call you, but my phone was confiscated!” Briar lied.
How could he call Aurelia in that situation? Who knew what those bodyguards were up to?
They were still confused as to why they were treated to such a big dinner.
Aurelia was in no mood for chatting. She glanced out the window and saw something like lightning. She got out of bed and closed the curtains. “You guys should go back early. It’s going to rain!”
“Okay, let’s talk about it tomorrow!”
It was a little after one in the morning when it started to rain heavily outside, with wind, rain, thunder and lightning. After a flash of lightning, the whole room was bright, followed by loud thunder.
Normally in weather like this, Aurelia wouldn’t be scared if she turned on the lights, but she had just been scared tonight at the cemetery.
She tossed and turned, unable to sleep, so she took out her phone and browsed social media for a while. The rain was getting heavier, and there was constant thunder and lightning.
Coincidentally, when she was browsing online, some scary pictures just popped out, something like coffins and graves…
She suppressed her surging fear, sat up from the bed, and looked around the huge bedroom.
After taking several deep breaths, she seemed calm. Suddenly, she remembered that Callum was next door.
He must be asleep at this hour, right?
How could he sleep so soundly while she was too scared to fall asleep? No! It was not fair!
Thinking of this, she crawled out of bed holding the pillow.
She quietly opened the door. There was no light in the corridor, so she had to go back to grab her phone, turn on the flashlight on the phone, and then turn it off when she reached the door of Callum’s room.
She quietly tugged at the handle.
