Chapter 36 So Rebellious

What should she do to please Callum? She had never done this before!
Besides, did she buy him an expensive gift? Didn’t she win over his heart by this kind act? Why did he still treat her like this? It seemed that the money spent on Callum had been wasted.
Looking at the fork thrown into the plate, Callum raised an eyebrow. Was she going to throw a tantrum?
“Go back to your room. You’re grounded for a week!” He shifted his gaze to Aurelia and gave a light order.
Grounded for a week? Aurelia was stunned. This was torture for her, worse than scolding her!
“Objection!” She walked up to Callum and pouted stubbornly.
Objection? Callum found her protest amusing. No one had ever dared to say no to him before!
He glanced at her with cold eyes and said, “Overruled!” His tone was extremely cold.
For a moment, Aurelia wanted to run away, fearing that he would kill her with his cold gaze before she could successfully protest.
Taking a deep breath, she told herself not to be angry or scared.
“Callum, I don’t want to be grounded for a week. I’ll go crazy!” She expressed her dissatisfaction without hesitation.
Without a glance at her, he replied curtly, “If you keep this up, your tutors will go crazy.”
Aurelia was speechless. She didn’t want to stay at home for a week. “Callum, don’t you think you’re overstepping your bounds?”
He suppressed his surging anger, thinking Aurelia was so rebellious, who needed to be disciplined.
Despite knowing Callum was very angry. Aurelia said with no remorse, “Even if you ground me, I have plenty of ways to sneak out of the house.”
Callum suddenly stood up. His tall stature immediately gave Aurelia a sense of oppression.
“Do you insist on challenging me? Fine. Don’t regret it.”
He left the villa after saying this.
Challenge him? She didn’t dare to do that! No! Aurelia was about to follow him out, but was stopped by Alfred.
“Aurelia, Mr. Finnegan has ordered that you are not allowed to go out for a week.” Alfred helplessly looked at the angry Aurelia. Alas! This silly girl.
Aurelia watched Callum’s car drive off. Finally, she decided not to cause Alfred trouble and returned to her room dejectedly.
Half an hour later, just as she was hesitating whether to go out through the window, a strange noise was heard outside the villa.
Two workers were standing on a ladder, welding a security shutter onto her window.

Aurelia’s eyes turned red with anger. Was it necessary to go this far?
She desperately wanted to divorce him!
Although she had been using Callum’s money for the past three years, she had asked Briar and others to find a part-time job for her so that she could pay him back every penny of what she had spent over the years!
When she thought about how Callum had taken care of her over the past three years, her anger almost vanished.
Even though their marriage was in name only, he gave her the best food and things. When Niall was still alive, Callum also helped him in many ways.
However, she always provoked him and even wanted to divorce him. Callum must be very disappointed in her!
Thinking of this, she decided not to run away.
At 10:00 p. m.
Callum returned to the villa, opened the door of the study, and continued working.
After going through some documents, there was a knock on the door. A look of suspicion flashed across his face. It was so late. And there was no one else but Aurelia. What did she want to do?
“Come in.” After getting permission from the person in the study, Aurelia carefully opened the door.
She walked in with a tray, ignoring his cold gaze, and placed the hot milk on his desk.
“I’m sorry about what happened during the day. Drink some milk and go to bed early.” She didn’t even dare to raise her head. After speaking in a low voice, she quickly left the study.
What happened? Callum looked at the closed door and the hot milk she brought in. Was she playing some trick?
From that day on, Aurelia brought a cup of hot milk to the study every day for three consecutive days.
On the fourth day, Callum called out to her and said, “I’ll take you to school tomorrow.” Looking at her surprised face and her shining eyes, he curled his lips into a smile unconsciously.
The black luxury car stopped at the curb opposite the school. As soon as Aurelia got out of the car, she ran all the way to the classroom.
Callum watched her flee, a smile flashing across his face.
She was cute.
In the classroom.
People gathered together to chat. Aurelia’s friends gathered around her, curious about where she had gone over the past few days. Aurelia held her chin and looked at her friends before replying, “Didn’t I tell you on WhatsApp that I didn’t come to school because I had something to do?”
Briar sat across from Aurelia, examining her carefully. “Larry told us that a very powerful man went to the dean’s office the other day. Level with us. Who was he?”
She rolled her eyes at Briar, and then at Larry, who didn’t dare to say who it was. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Her words drew everyone’s contempt. In Evercrest, only a few men could be considered ‘very powerful’. For example, Callum, Elliot, and Roy Morrison.
Could it be Callum? No! He and Aurelia had been hostile towards each other.
Elliot? Nah. From Larry’s description, the man in the office had a cold temperament.
Roy was even less likely, because the media just reported it two days ago, saying that Roy, as an undercover agent, solved a major child trafficking case, and was given a half-month leave off work. He’d been on vacation vacation and hadn’t come back yet.
“Aurelia, that is not cool! You and Larry are keeping a secret from us!” Liana leaned on Aurelia’s shoulder and acted coquettishly.
Aurelia exaggeratedly said, “Larry, just tell her. I’m afraid Liana will get jealous of me and hate me.”
Her words irritated Liana. She glared at Aurelia fiercely, “What are you talking about? How could I be jealous of you? Larry and I have nothing to do with each other.”
Hearing this, Larry looked at Liana in confusion and asked sullenly, “Didn’t you agree to be my girlfriend that night?”
As soon as he said this, everyone around started to make a fuss. For a moment, everyone forgot to keep asking Aurelia about who the person was in the dean’s office that day.
“I didn’t…” After saying that, Liana blushed and buried her head in Aurelia’s shoulder before asking, “Aurelia, why don’t you come back to the dormitory recently? I miss you so much!”
