Chapter 35 He Deserves to Be Beaten

Book:Please Let Me Go, Mr. Sheridan Published:2024-8-20

The students in the classroom were all laughing when they were talking in low voices about the acne-faced man being beaten.
Evelyn didn’t even bother to look at the poor guy. She just looked at the book. The man with acne on his face was full of anger, but he had no place to vent.
In a boring class in the afternoon, Aurelia held her chin and thought to herself that if that man with acne on his face dared to report her to the principal’s office, she would definitely teach him a lesson!
The bell rang and the school radio station was playing music. Suddenly, the music stopped and a sweet female voice sounded. “Aurelia from Class 22, please go to the dean’s office.” It repeated three times.
Aurelia stood up from her seat somewhat awkwardly and took Larry with her towards the dean’s office.
She needed Larry to be there because he was a top student that teachers thought highly of. Every time she asked him to intercede for her, teachers would let her off the hook for the sake of Larry.
Aurelia knew without even trying that it must be the man with acne on his face who reported her. Anyway, the security camera didn’t catch her. As long as she refused to admit it, nothing would happen to her.
She swore to beat that guy up every time she saw him in the future!
At the dean’s office.
Aurelia casually walked into the office, which she had been in so many times. Larry followed her in, clutching the corner of his clothes.
The dean was serving coffee to a man on the sofa. Aurelia broke out in a cold sweat as soon as she recognized the man.
She quickly pushed Larry out of the office. In this situation, she would drag Larry down with her. She couldn’t get Larry involved!
“Aurelia, you’re here!” The dean looked at Aurelia with a smile as usual.
Callum’s cold gaze fell upon Larry. When Larry turned back to look at the office curiously, he accidentally caught a glimpse of Callum’s cold eyes. Larry was so scared that his legs went weak, and he almost fell to the ground.
Why was Mr. Finnegan here? This time, he didn’t even wait for Aurelia to push him. Larry ran away without any hesitation.
Aurelia also wanted to know why Callum was here. It should have been Alfred who came and listened to the dean’s nagging. If she knew the dean called Callum, she would do whatever she could to stop the dean.
Aurelia stood in a daze with her heart beating fast. The dean’s voice made her heart skip a beat.
“Aurelia.” The dean called out her name, his voice soft. Since he knew Callum was behind her, he had no intention of holding Aurelia accountable.
Even so, the dean was surprised that Mr. Finnegan came in person this time.
That was Mr. Finnegan! The president of a famous ZL Group! If other principals and vice-principals hadn’t gone on an inspection trip, they would definitely have come out to greet Callum together!
Aurelia smiled dryly at the dean. “I don’t want to go in there.” She lowered her voice, fearing that Callum would hear her.
The dean was also embarrassed. It turned out that such a naughty student was also afraid of Callum!
“Aurelia!” Callum in the office became impatient and called out coldly. Aurelia almost jumped up.
She leaned towards the dean and asked, gritting her teeth, “Who called him here?”
The dean looked at Aurelia speechlessly. Although he was only in his thirties, he always wore a stern face in front of the students. No one dared to get so close and talk to him like that!
Well, forget it. Considering that she was backed by Callum, the dean wouldn’t bother her too much.
“I called Alfred, but I didn’t expect Mr. Finnegan to come.” Influenced by her, the dean also lowered his voice.
Aurelia and the dean entered the office together.
The three of them faced each other, Aurelia looked at the dean. The dean looked at Callum, and Callum looked at Aurelia.
“Why fight?”
Aurelia curled her lips, then looked out the window before speaking,
“He deserved it.” Her tone was very casual.
Was this a reason? The dean looked at her speechlessly. She didn’t know she was wrong.
Callum stared at Aurelia with a sharp look. “Why?” He suppressed his anger and told himself there was no need to get angry.
Aurelia felt his terrifying gaze and shrank her neck, but still said directly, “He gossiped behind my back. Why can’t I beat him up?”
This time, she raised her stubborn face and looked into Callum’s sharp eyes. However, after just two seconds, she looked away with a sense of guilt.
Because she was afraid that she would be killed by Callum.
“Aurelia, if you encounter something like this, you can tell your tutor and let the tutor solve it for you!” Noticing Callum’s sullen face, the dean immediately lectured her.
Aurelia snorted, “I’m not a kid anymore. We’re all adults now. There’s no need for such a childish method!”
The Dean was choked by her words and fell silent. He could only look at Callum again.
“I’ll take her back first!” Callum stood up from the sofa and walked out of the office first, leaving them alone in the office.
Aurelia held the corner of her clothes tightly. She didn’t want to go back with Callum!
In the end, she followed him obediently. They sat in the back seat of the car and returned to the villa in silence.
Callum sat on the sofa in the living room, took out a cigarette and lit it slowly.
Smoking again? Was he a heavy smoker? She saw him puffing out smoke curiously. The swirling smoke covered his handsome face, so she couldn’t see his expression clearly.
Even after a puff of cigarette, they still remained silent.
Seeing him light up another one and puffing out smoke quietly made Aurelia get anxious.
Why didn’t he say anything? Aurelia was mentally prepared for punishment.
She thought for a moment before speaking, “Callum, I’ll go get some refreshments for you!” She put on a flattering smile and looked at Callum, who was puffing out smoke.
After several minutes of silence, Aurelia plucked up the courage and walked to the kitchen.
She put some fruits on the plate, brought the plate out, and placed it in front of Callum.
“Have some fruit.” She suppressed the slight timidity in her heart and handed him a fork with an ingratiating smile.
The living room was extremely quiet. Callum put out the cigarette and looked at the fawning Aurelia expressionlessly.
Instead of taking the fork from her hand, he stared at Aurelia. He didn’t know how to deal with this disobedient girl.
Aurelia’s hand stopped in the mid-air for a long time. Growing impatient, she dropped the fork into the plate with a great sound.
