Chapter 33 Sorry for What Happened Before

Book:Please Let Me Go, Mr. Sheridan Published:2024-8-20

“Mr. Finnegan, let me handle this!” The general manager immediately came up. He didn’t dare to trouble Callum with such a minor issue. The most important thing was that once Callum got involved, the management of the mall would have to step down.
Learning the famous Mr. Finnegan was here, everyone perked up.
“EliteMart belongs to the ZL Group, and the president of the ZL Group is Mr. Finnegan. Is he Mr. Finnegan?”
“Mr Finnegan? Oh my goodness! I’m so excited to meet Mr Finnegan in person!”
“No way! Am I dreaming?”
Aurelia stared blankly at the crowd who were talking excitedly, a little dumbfounded. Weren’t they afraid of Callum?
Several security guards had already rushed over. They asked all the onlookers to leave while preventing anyone from approaching Callum.
The three people who were left on-site as the ones involved. “Aurelia, that’s Mr. Finnegan! You and Mr. Finnegan are destined to be together!” Cathy looked at Aurelia ambiguously. This time, Callum did not let anyone drive Aurelia away when he saw Aurelia. This was a good sign!
Aurelia rolled her eyes speechlessly and said, “Shut up!” She was not blind. And she didn’t need Cathy to tell her.
Cathy was so obsessed with hunks that she forgot how Callum treated her the last few times. Aurelia couldn’t believe her friends were so shallow!
Seeing Aurelia’s cold stare for no reason, Cathy was totally confused.
Evelyn’s heart was racing. If she could get close to Callum, she would definitely become the most wealthy and noble woman in Evercrest… No, in the world!
She calmed herself down, walked over elegantly, and looked at Callum intensely.
As Evelyn was approaching him, Callum glanced coldly at Aurelia outside the store.
Aurelia shivered at his gaze.
She couldn’t let Callum believe everything Evelyn said. But what should she do? Aurelia was lost in thought.
Next, she made a move that confused everyone.
Straightening her back, Aurelia boldly took Callum’s arm and spoke in a voice that was softer than ever before, “Callum, this woman picked on me!”
Callum squinted at the hand on his arm, knowing what she was trying to do. She was taking advantage of him.
Liana dropped the handbag in her hand and murmured in disbelief, “Oh my god. Is Aurelia crazy? How dare she…”
When did they, who were hostile toward each other that night, become so close?
Cathy held Liana’s arm tightly and said understandingly, “Mr. Finnegan doesn’t seem to hold a grudge against Aurelia. Otherwise, he wouldn’t let Aurelia touch him.”
Evelyn was even more shocked. Looking at Callum and Aurelia arm in arm, she became jealous. How could Aurelia steal her man?
Aurelia’s next few words were even more shocking. “Callum, I like that brocade box. I originally wanted to give it to you as a gift! But when I went to check out, this woman and her boyfriend got in the way!”
Aurelia not only spoke in a gentle voice, but also stomped her feet coquettishly as Evelyn usually did.
Compared with Evelyn’s artificiality, Aurelia did it more naturally.
Callum watched her expressionlessly, but he didn’t push her away.
The general manager was so frightened by this scene that he almost fainted. Who was this girl? What was her relationship with Mr. Finnegan? Why did all women want to get close to him?
Taken aback, Cathy and Liana supported each other. Things happened so fast that everyone seemed too shocked to believe it. “What do you think? Should we come up and take Aurelia away with us? What if she gets kicked out by Mr. Finnegan again?”
Cathy patted Liana’s hand and tried to calm her down, “Relax. Mr. Finnegan hasn’t pushed her away yet. No rush!”
It was hard to tell Callum’s true feelings from his expression. Was he happy? Or angry?
Who would have thought these two people, who originally hated each other, ended up standing closely?
The general manager came over in panic and tried to drive Aurelia away. Why was she clinging to Mr. Finnegan?
He stood in front of Aurelia and said, “Ma’am, you’d better leave now!” He was ready to pull Aurelia away.
A hand stopped him. Liana and Cathy looked at the scene in disbelief and immediately leaned against the wall to avoid falling.
“Liana, did you see that?” Cathy wasn’t in the mood for taking care of her messy hair.
Liana didn’t even blink. Of course she saw Callum grabbing the general manager’s hand. She nodded and replied, “Could it be that they were in a relationship?”
Thinking of this possibility, the two women looked at each other. One nodded and the other shook her head.
“How is that possible?” Cathy looked at Liana with shock as she was in a daze.
They would better continue to see how things went.
The general manager withdrew his hand awkwardly, knowing that they must know each other.
Evelyn looked at Callum’s hand in shock, wondering what their relationship was. When did Aurelia hook up with Mr. Finnegan?
Suddenly, she remembered what Aurelia told her last time. She said Callum didn’t reject her confession. So, Aurelia was now Mr. Finnegan’s woman?
Why would Mr. Finnegan, who was so high and mighty, be interested in Aurelia?
Absolutely impossible!
“Take it and pay!” Callum instructed Aurelia next to him in a deep voice. Aurelia immediately went to the cashier with a smug face.
Well done, Callum!
The people at the cashier counter heard it too. No one dared to disobey Callum. So they started to pack it for Aurelia and ring her up immediately.
After that, Aurelia put away the receipt and happily handed the box to Callum.
She whispered, “Here you are. A gift for you. I’m sorry for what happened before.” If Callum was not angry anymore, could they sit down and talk properly?
It turned out to be an apology to him! Callum took the box elegantly and looked at it for a while. A sapphire tie clip, a color he had never tried before.
“Callum, I’m leaving now!” Aurelia disappeared less than half a minute after Callum took the brocade box, fearing that Callum would make things difficult for her.
