Rachel woke up in a strange bed, disoriented and frightened. The room was unfamiliar, and she couldn’t remember how she had gotten there. Panic began to well up inside her as she tried to piece together the events from the previous night. She sat upright, her heart pounding in her chest.
“How did I get here?” she tried to think, but felt a sharp headache.
Suddenly, a voice echoed through the room, jolting Rachel from her thoughts. “You are awake,” the voice said, its tone calm and soothing. Rachel’s eyes darted around the room, searching for the source of the sound.
Her fear intensified as she couldn’t identify who or where it was coming from, she didn’t know who he was so he was scared, she held the sheets tight, ‘have I been kidnapped, no no this can’t be happening’ she said to herself, still searching for the voice she heard, she had almost thought she imagined it.
Just then, a young, handsome man stepped out of the bathroom, clad only in a towel wrapped around his waist. He was like a male God, with perfect abs and nice body, but she didn’t have the time to enjoy the sight before her, as her eyes widened, her heart racing even faster, her fear intensives,
She instinctively pulled the sheets tighter around her, relieved to find that she was still fully clothed. Her gaze locked with the man’s, and she could see a warm smile forming on his face, ‘did he touch me’
“I didn’t touch you,” the man said, his voice gentle and reassuring with a smile on his face. Rachel’s fear began to subside, replaced by curiosity mixed with caution. She cautiously asked, “Who are you?”.
The man took a step closer, his eyes never leaving hers. “I am Dreg,” he replied, his voice steady. “And you are Rachel.” His words hung in the air, leaving Rachel bewildered. How did he know her name? What was going on?.
Unbeknown to her, She had gained his attention, he had always been stalking from her office to her house to Zech’s house, he was so fond of her, she didn’t know he was her secret admirer. He had met her at her office one morning but Rachel didn’t even notice, nor had she noticed someone had been stalking her.
Rachel’s mind raced with questions, but she couldn’t find the right words to ask. She decided to focus on the immediate situation. “Where am I? How did I end up here?” she asked, her voice trembling slightly with fear, she didn’t know how she ended up in a stranger’s house.
Dreg’s smile faded slightly, and he motioned to a nearby chair. “Please, have a seat,” he offered, gesturing for Rachel to join him. She hesitated for a moment before obliging, her eyes never leaving his face. As she stood up from his bed and She sat down, her body tense with anticipation, she wanted to know why she was here and how she had gotten to his house.
Dreg took a deep breath, clearly choosing his words carefully. “Rachel, you are in a safe place,” he began. She wanted her to feel safe and secure around him. “You were found unconscious on the street last night, and I brought you here to make sure you were okay.” He said slowly watching her expressions keenly making sure he didn’t miss anything, he saw the confused look on her face.
Rachel’s eyes widened with surprise. She had passed out, she knew she had left Zechs house that night, but had no memory of being on the street or of anything that led to her current situation.
The last thing she remembered was that she felt pain in her chest and her gaze became blurry. She tried to recall any details that might explain what had happened but came up empty-handed, this was all that fool’s fault.
“Why don’t I remember anything about how I got here?” Rachel asked, her voice filled with confusion. She brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, waiting for Dreg to offer an explanation. She felt a sense of darkness lurking around him, but she felt somewhat safe with him around, she couldn’t describe the feeling.
Dreg’s expression softened as he sat down across from her. “I’m not entirely sure,” he admitted. “There could be many reasons. Sometimes, our minds protect us from traumatic experiences by blocking out the memories.” he said softly .
Rachel’s mind raced, trying to process the information. But she knew exactly what led to this situation, it was Zech. It was all his fault, he caused this and now she even passed out on the street, she now hated him so much she wished she had never met him, I wanted not to see him again.
“Are you okay? You seem to be in deep thoughts,” she said, scanning her white face.
“No no I mean I’m fine, thanks for your help but I have to go” she said standing up but fell back due to an impact.
“Where are we?” she asked with a confused face.
“In a plane” she answered as he searched for clothes to put on, he saw she wasn’t comfortable seeing him Like this.
“A plane, I don’t understand, what do you mean we are in a plane?” she couldn’t seem to process or understand what he was talking about.
“I mean, we’re heading to Las Vegas, we just landed” he turned to face her putting on a leather jacket and a plain black jean with fur over his neck, his face was now expressionless.
“Okey Why did you bring me here, all the way from New york?”
She couldn’t fathom how he could have brought her here, but she couldn’t deny the possibility either. She felt a mixture of relief and frustration.
“I couldn’t just leave you on the road now can’t I? He asked her sarcastically, before a young man walked in putting on a suit he looked like a bodyguard to her.
“Boss, we’re here,” he said with his head bowed low.
“Okay pack the luggages into the car” he told him then he turned to Rachel, “miss Rachel I promise, you are fine okay, we will talk about this for now, let go out” he said with a pleading tone he could see the look on her face, she was back to being scared and it made it angry.
She finally relaxed her body a little and stood up following him, when they got out she turned and saw his name boldly written on the plane, wait he has a private jet, wow his filthy rich she said to herself.
“You must be hungry, let’s get breakfast, he opens the car for her” smiling brightly at her.
She stood for a few seconds staring at him suspiciously “go on it won’t bite” he said playfully she finally smiled “wow you look more beautiful when you smile try doing more of that.
She didn’t answer, she just walked into the car and he followed suit.
