In the medical room at the Ztatzav Orphanage,
A curvy-bodied woman was seen making the bed there while Menka was in a special room for Healers. The smell of the herb was there, but not very strong. In the midst of the dominant silence, outside the room, the shadows of two women could be seen. Only their presence had not been noticed by the woman who had moved to another bed.
In less than two minutes, a knock on the door made the woman wearing white clothes turn towards the door. She frowned as if this was something strange. “Who comes here, huh? Children and teenagers rarely appear unless they are sick. Could it be that Madame Aufrodine and Loiston came?” Ethnia muttered quietly.
The person in charge of the medical room started walking towards the door because she was curious to know who had come there. When Ethnia arrived, she opened the door and saw two female figures who were very familiar to her. It turned out that the Healer’s guess was correct, so she greeted the two without hesitation. “Please come in, Madame Aufrodine and Madame Loiston.”
“Thank you, Ethnia.” The two women answered at the same time.
A woman, who had a height of one hundred and sixty-seven centimeters tall, as soon as possible took to arranging two chairs close together, and when she was finished, Ethnia said to the two guests, “Have a seat, please.”
“Thank you.” Loiston and Aufrodine sat on the chairs provided by the room owner. They watched the Healer walk away, taking a chair some distance away.
“Wouldn’t you like it if I brought her to your room, Lenny?” asked the red-haired woman in a low voice.
The interlocutor heard this question and immediately shook his head. “I do not know why I want to meet Ethnia in person, Apple. Let’s hope that she has already got the good news for us, especially regarding the safety of this orphanage,” answered Aufrodine, who seemed relaxed, but inside, she felt anxious.
“I hope so. Ethnia has not provided the latest update, so we do not know what happened.” A woman with thick eyebrows agreed with her colleague’s words.
Aufrodine and Loiston stopped talking because the person they had just been talking about appeared carrying a dark brown wooden chair. Ethnia placed the chair at the front but in the middle of the two uninvited guests as if to imply that she would listen to opinions from both sides. When seated, the woman looked at the principal and her deputy.
“May I help you, Madame Aufrodine?” Ethnia broke the ice between them.
The thirty-eight-year-old woman felt relieved because she was allowed to talk. “Thank you, Ethnia. Madame Loiston and I came here because we wanted to ask. Have you gotten any information from Goddess Erie or a mysterious goddess who came to your dream at that time? If indeed they have come and informed you something, can you please tell us?”
The woman who had been a Healer for seventeen years suddenly remembered the message from Alexa. Ethnia was sure that what the hazel-eyed girl said had something to do with the safety of the orphanage where she had been for a long time. “No, Madame. Our lady did not come, nor did that mysterious goddess, but Alexa was coming here when I was away for some moment.”
The expressions of the two guests changed to astonishment when they heard the names of the first daughter of the couple, Tristian Varden Writh and Lavena Isolda Keira, mentioned by the Healer. “What do you mean, Ethnia? Why can you speculate like that?”
“Alexa came here and told my assistant she was safe. She said she had received various messages in dreams, one of which was a message for me.” Ethnia tried to remember what Menka had said so that she would not give the wrong answer to the person she was talking to, who was the only person in the place.
The tall, slim woman was silent.
Has Alexa gotten directions through dreams? If it is true, then the dream must have come from the Goddess Magia. Is it possible that the Goddess of Witchcraft told her messenger? But I am not sure because Ethnia only heard the story from Menka and not the girl directly. Should I ask her to ask that little witch? Thought Aufrodine, who did not want to be careless in making a decision.
“Did Alexa tell you anything else?” This time, Loiston asked because she glanced at Aufrodine, and her best friend was still silent.
“She said that I did not have to worry because she was safe. That was all the message and nothing else.” Ethnia answered honestly because that was the only sentence she had heard from Menka. Aufrodine looked at Loiston, and the woman did the same so that the Healer clearly saw their actions. Still, she deliberately remained silent because she wanted to know the situation between the two guests.
“I did not lie. At first, Menka did not tell me because she had forgotten it, but when I fell asleep, I met our lady. She told me that my assistant had received a very important message, and when I was awake, I asked her about that issue.” Ethnia said that because she saw Madame Aufrodine and Loiston’s expressions, it implied that she had told false things.
“How can you be sure that Menka has already told you the truth if you do not ask Alexa yourself?” Aufrodine couldn’t accept the news as good news because he wanted to hear that Ethnia herself had a conversation with the Chosen One and not hear the information from someone else.
“With all due respect, if I did something like that, then Alexa would become suspicious. So far, no one has told me about her true identity, and only the children in the orphanage call the Chosen One a witch,’ and they were right. If she ever realizes its origins, I am afraid the ancient prophecy will happen as soon as possible. Do you want it, Madame Aufodine and Loiston? If yes, I can do it.” A woman, who had a height of one hundred and sixty-seven centimeters tall, was annoyed, so she subconsciously raised her voice a little. Ethnia could not stop thinking about the interlocutor’s question, which seemed to want to harm her.
“Why are you so prejudiced against Madame Aufrodine? She just asked that.” Loiston did not accept the Healer’s statement, but Ethnia snorted instead, surprising the two women with her attitude.
“Madame Loiston. Do not be silly. I couldn’t possibly go to Alexa just because she got a lot of clues through dreams. Did you realize how dangerous it would be? That girl could be suspicious and ask difficult things that I would inevitably have to answer directly. “Honestly. If you are ready for the consequences of a big war happening soon, just tell me directly, and I will do it. Goddess Erie is a witness to the fact that everything happens because of your will and not because it was time for it to happen, according to the ancient prophecy.” The grey-eyed woman also did not want to be outdone by the two guests, so the principal and her deputy remained silent as soon as possible.
I do not like the way Madame Loiston talks. I am not their puppet who can be ordered around as he pleases. She and Aufrodine should be aware that the Healer is not under the power of the Goddess Asiles, so we are not equal in any field. They should realize it from the beginning; Ethnia grumbled in her heart so that other people could not hear her complaints.
Awkwardness began to feel between the three women, all of whom were over thirty years old. No one had started a conversation because everyone seemed busy with their thoughts. In the midst of the silence, in less than a minute, a blonde-haired woman was seen coming out of a room that was specifically for Healers, especially those at the orphanage.
Menka walked towards her senior, but after about ten meters, he hesitated to continue because she saw the tense expressions of Madame Aufrodine, Loiston and Ethnia, as if it implied something was happening between them. In the girl’s right hand was a roll of parchment, which appeared to be sealed with a red string.
Whoa! Has there been a heated debate between my senior and the two main administrators of this orphanage? Why do their faces look unhappy? I want to approach Madame Ethnia, but does the situation allow it? I bring the important letter from Madame Magthianth. Should I tell her? Menka thought and did not dare to greet the silver-haired woman.
“What happened, Menka?” Ethnia’s question startled the name’s owner, and Aufrodine and Loiston’s gaze was directed behind the Healer’s back without further ado.
“I… I bring a letter for you, Madame.” The woman who always looked youthful answered with a slight stutter because she was not comfortable being watched by the principal and her deputy.
“You can give it to me.” The curvy woman remembered the letter she had sent to her senior, so she thought that the letter Menka received was a reply from Madame Magthianth. The two women sitting in front of the Healer had not said anything because they were interested in what Ethnia’s assistant had brought and, of course, the letter’s contents.
“Yes, Madame.”
