On this side, Corey was busy rejecting women who were hitting on him. Meanwhile, Rosiley was feeling bored to death and helping herself to the snacks.
They had no idea that a few males and females standing not far away from them were looking at every single move they made.
“That’s the man that you tried so hard to get a single piece of information about, but couldn’t?”
Tiana’s gaze was tightly fixed on that long figure beside Rosiley. There was a hint of surprise at the bottom of her eyes.
They were standing some distance away so she could not see his looks. However, judging solely by his elegant moves and perfect figure, she could tell how good-looking he had to be.
“That’s right. He’s the one.”
When Yunis saw that man again, his gaze became gloomy.
Tiana gently sipped on her wine. Her gaze at Corey became darker.
“He’s always beside Rosiley. We can’t take action at all.” Rorey’s tone was filled with anxiety and helplessness.
It was so difficult for them to get this chance, and Rorey did not want to miss it.
“What’s the rush?” Tiana glared at her unhappily. “At times like this, we should be more capable of holding it back.”
Then, she lifted her hand, and not long later, a woman came walking toward her.
“This is…”
Seeing this stranger walking up to them, Rorey and Yunis both looked at each other. They did not understand what she was doing.
“Didn’t you guys say that we can’t take action because he’s always beside her? Then we’ll take him away from her.” A sinister smile spread across Tiana’s lips.
…
“Indeed, parties are the most boring.” Corey yawned, looking very lifeless.
“It’s indeed boring.” Rosiley gently sipped on the wine in her hand. She looked around and saw people gathered in small groups and having fun chatting with each other. The atmosphere was quite lively.
“Then let’s go back.”
Corey looked at her desperately. His beautiful eyes were sparkling with glows of anticipation.
Rosiley smiled. “You want to go back that badly?”
“I just came back today and was sent by my brother to protect you. I haven’t rested properly yet.”
After saying that, he yawned again.
Rosiley looked at the faint blue color at the bottom of his eyes. His eyes were also filled with lethargy. Suddenly, she felt bad for him.
If she had not wanted to attend this party, he would not have to suffer.
She felt sorry for him and made a decision then and there. “Let’s go back.”
“Indeed, my sister-in-law dotes on me the most,” Corey said cheekily.
Seeing his childish expression, Rosiley smiled and shook her head helplessly. He was older than her, but why did it feel like he was like a younger brother?
Just when they turned to leave, someone accidentally knocked into Corey’s arms.
Corey stumbled and quickly stretched out his hands to grab hold of that person.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”
The woman who had bumped into him kept her head lowered and apologized non-stop.
Corey removed his hands and stepped back. His tone was distanced and faint as he said, “It’s okay, just be more careful next time.”
Then, he looked down. When he felt a patch of coldness on his chest earlier, he already had a bad hunch. Sure, there was a huge patch of red wine on his shirt. The red looked extremely glaring against the white.
And the one guilty of this was this woman in front of him, who had her head lowered all the while.
