Rosiley stood at one side silently as she watched this whole incident unfold. An unfathomable glow sparkled at the bottom of her eyes.
Some things that were meant to happen would happen. So why not just let nature take its course?
“Corey, go clean up in the bathroom. Otherwise, it’ll tarnish your image if you walk out like that,” said Rosiley.
“But…” Corey frowned, in a dilemma. His brother had ordered him not to take one step away from his sister-in-law. If he left and something happened to her, he would not be able to report back to his brother.
“Go. I’m fine.” Rosiley knew what he was worried about. However, what would come, would come. She couldn’t hide forever.
Corey looked at her for a while before sighing helplessly. “All right then, I’ll be back soon. sister-in-law, don’t go anywhere.”
Rosiley replied with a smile, “Okay, I know. Just go.”
Corey glanced at the woman who bumped into him and then ran toward the bathroom.
“Who made you come over here?”
Once Corey left, Rosiley immediately removed the smile on her face. Her sharp gaze turned to that woman who had bumped into Corey.
After she said those words, that woman obviously shuddered a little.
Rosiley lifted her brows. “You’re Leila Shen, right?”
The woman suddenly lifted her head and looked at her, full of shock. Perhaps she did not expect her to know who she was.
Rosiley chuckled and continued, “Leila Shen, 19, second-year student at Benin Theatre Academy. Scouted at 18 due to your innocent and beautiful appearance. signed with Tanghai and debuted last year by playing the role of the female lead’s servant in the hit drama ‘Back to the Dynasty’.”
The woman did not know that she would know her so well. She became flustered instantly. “Who are you? How do you know me?”
Rosiley shrugged her shoulders. “Someone in the media should have all the information about the entertainment industry at her fingertips.”
Leila Shen’s beautiful, thin brows furrowed. She studied the woman before her and felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity.
Suddenly, the answer came to her, and she exclaimed in surprise, “You’re Rosiley!”
Rosiley smiled. “Yes, I am.”
“You’re really Rosiley?!”
She was so excited that even her voice was shaking.
“I am, what’s the matter?” Rosiley did not know why she was so excited.
“Oh gosh, I’m so lucky! I actually met my idol!” If she were not in this unsuitable setting, she would have screamed out loud for sure.
“I didn’t know I could have a Zevgirl.” Rosiley felt that the situation was quite funny.
Seeing someone so excited to see her, to be honest, she was also a little excited. She did not know that being treated like an idol felt so good.
No wonder so many people wanted to become celebrities.
“sister Rosiley, please wait for a while.” After throwing her this line, Leila Shen ran away.
Rosiley looked at her backside in confusion. She saw her run over to a table filled with an array of alcohol. Not long after, she came back with two glasses of alcohol.
She walked up to Rosiley and looked at her full of anticipation. “sister Rosiley, I’m so happy to see you today. Can I have a drink with you?”
Leila Shen was like a cute girl-next-door. Her eyes were clear and clean, and others could not help having a good impression of her, thus letting down their guard uncontrollably.
“Of course.” Rosiley smiled and took a glass.
“Cheers!”
They clinked their glasses.
Rosiley gave Leila Shen a gentle smile and lifted her head to chug down the whole glass in one gulp.
Leila Shen sipped in small mouthfuls and locked her gaze on Rosiley. When she saw that she had finished her glass, a sparkle flashed across her eyes and she sighed secretly, as if relieving a huge burden on her heart.
