“Ah!” Quentin’s furious kick sent Nash flying several meters before he crashed to the ground.
Nash screamed in pain, blood gushing from his mouth, several ribs broken.
Quentin walked over step by step, his eyes cold as ice, filled with murderous intent. Nash recoiled in fear.
“Don’t come any closer! Stay away from me!”
Nash’s face twisted in terror. What awaited him was a disaster.
“I warned you, if you dared to harm my child, you would pay a terrible price!”
“Why did you cross my line?!”
Quentin stomped hard on Nash’s left thigh, and everyone present could hear the sound of bones cracking.
“Ah-!” Nash cried in agony, clutching his leg. Quentin refused to lift his foot, making it impossible for Nash to move.
“Still struggling? Confess honestly!”
Quentin sneered coldly, increasing the pressure on Nash’s left leg.
Nash’s pain was excruciating, his face contorted.
“I didn’t do anything! This has nothing to do with me!”
Nash was terrified, screaming internally but still refusing to admit anything, insisting it had nothing to do with him.
“Then why did you run just now?!”
“This test report came from you. If it wasn’t your doing, then whose?”
Seeing Nash refuse to confess, Quentin grew angry.
“Charlotte, Charlotte, help me! This really has nothing to do with me. Please believe me!”
Nash pleaded with Charlotte, but she remained unmoved.
She saw through Nash’s hypocritical behavior after he falsified the test report.
“Nash, I always considered you my brother. I never thought you were such a deceitful and sinister person!”
“I was grateful for everything you did for our family, but it turns out it was all your scheme!”
“Do as you will. I’m too disappointed in you.”
Charlotte’s face was icy, her tone cold. The image of a good brother she had of Nash completely shattered.
“Nash, I always tried to pair you with Charlotte, and you wanted to harm my grandson? I must have been blind!”
Emma was furious, pointing at Nash and cursing. Though she was greedy for money, she knew what to choose when it came to Janessa’s life!
Most importantly, she always thought Nash was reliable and wanted to entrust Charlotte to him…
Who knew…
“If I’d known he was a hypocrite, a scoundrel!” Rashad also cursed.
Seeing that no one from Charlotte’s family would help him, Nash panicked.
“What else do you have to argue? Since you refuse to speak, you’ll rot in jail!”
Quentin made a call to the police station. Soon, officers arrived, led by a middle-aged man named Ye. Upon arrival, he saluted Quentin respectfully and waited for orders.
He had been told that this man was highly influential and not to ask questions-just follow orders.
“Mr. Holland, at your command.” Suppressing his shock, he bowed ninety degrees to Quentin.
“Take this man and the doctor named Edward to the station. I’ll interrogate them personally.”
Quentin’s eyes were cold as ice as he glanced at Nash and Edward. Both shivered. Who was Quentin that he could command the police?
“Understood, Mr. Holland.”
“Men, take them away!”
Captain Dawson ordered his men to cuff and take them away. He didn’t dare question Quentin’s reasons; he felt it was best to follow orders since Quentin was not someone to be trifled with.
“Let me go! Let me go! I’ll sue you for illegal arrest! I’m innocent!”
Nash continued to struggle desperately. He would never admit his involvement until the very end.
In the police station cell.
Nash and Edward were both suspended. Quentin sat across from them, his gaze cold and piercing as if seeing into the abyss of death.
Captain Dawson stood beside him, lighting a cigarette for Quentin. Quentin took a deep drag and slowly exhaled the smoke.
“I’m giving you one more chance. Confess honestly, or face the consequences.”
Quentin’s words were calm but carried a strong sense of menace.
“It was him! He made me do it.”
Edward looked at Nash in fear.
“You’re lying! I have nothing to do with you. Don’t slander me.”
Nash panicked, fearing Edward would reveal everything. He pretended to be angry and innocent to shift the blame.
Quentin waved his hand at Captain Dawson, who understood immediately.
“Did Mr. Holland allow you to speak?”
Captain Dawson kicked Nash in the stomach. Nash spat blood, his face contorted in pain. Seeing Quentin’s ruthless methods, he dared not speak out of turn again.
Edward trembled in fear seeing Captain Dawson’s harsh treatment.
“Speak up, or you’ll end up like him.” Captain Dawson demanded directly.
“I’ll talk! Please don’t hit me…”
Edward begged humbly and revealed the truth.
It turned out that Nash had come to Striudan Hospital earlier and bribed Edward with millions of dollars to find someone randomly for bone marrow extraction and fabricate a fake test report to deceive Charlotte into performing surgery on the child.
“You’re lying! You’re framing me!” Nash was utterly panicked, screaming in denial.
Quentin walked over and slapped Nash hard, knocking out several teeth and causing blood to spill from his mouth.
“At this point, what more do you have to say?!”
Quentin was furious, barely restraining himself from killing Nash on the spot.
His daughter had never done anything wrong; how could this beast Nash want her dead?
