Niarak had only two five-star hotels, the Cherry Blossom Inn and the Crimson Star Hotel.
Since the Crimson Star Hotel was fully booked, Rose chose the Cherry Blossom Inn.
She sent Harriet to make arrangements.
Both hotels had daily revenues exceeding a million dollars. The ingredients were expensive, and a night in the presidential suite cost over eighty thousand dollars.
However, their reputation and service were excellent.
Whenever hosting guests or conducting business in Niarak, wealthy merchants would frequent these two hotels.
They never lacked customers and made money hand over fist.
Harriet couldn’t understand what kind of distinguished guest could make the entire Cherry Blossom Inn serve only him.
It was worth noting that in the past five years, the Cherry Blossom Inn had never made such an exception.
For the safety of this VIP, the entire hotel would not accept other guests until he left.
“I don’t know either. The hotel manager only said it was a distinguished guest from afar,” Rose said, puzzled as well.
Flynn thought for a moment and said, “Why not arrange it for tonight? There’s no difference between eating today or tomorrow.”
“Alright!” Rose checked the time. “It’s three in the afternoon now; I’ll have the hotel start preparing.”
“The company will have a half-day off this afternoon. I’ll let the employees go home and get ready. We’ll meet at eight at the Cherry Blossom Inn for dinner.”
Rose left the security department while making calls.
“Ms. Sharp is so efficient. Harriet, you must learn from Ms. Sharp!” Stephanie said with admiration.
“And Mr. Clark, with such a miracle doctor by your side, even learning a few tricks would be enough for you to open a clinic.”
Harriet rolled her eyes at her and pouted, “I’m so dumb that even if Flynn taught me hand-in-hand, I wouldn’t learn.”
Flynn smiled and asked Stephanie, “How’s your health?”
Stephanie looked grateful. “After the acupuncture yesterday, I felt much better.”
“I went back and got some medicine according to your prescription, and now I’m much improved.”
Harriet assured her with a smile, “Stephanie, there’s no doubt about Flynn’s medical skills. In half a month, your nodules will definitely disappear.”
“Yes, I felt them today; they’re much smaller and no longer swollen.” Stephanie thanked Flynn again. “I’ve seen many doctors who all suggested surgery costing tens of thousands of dollars with a chance of recurrence.”
“Luckily I met you; otherwise, I wouldn’t know what to do.”
“How about I treat you to dinner tomorrow?”
Flynn waved his hand. “Since you’re Harriet’s friend, there’s no need to be formal.”
“If you want to thank someone, thank Harriet.”
“Alright then.” Stephanie smiled at Harriet. “I withdrew twenty thousand dollars yesterday. I originally wanted to treat Mr. Clark to dinner and give him ten thousand as a thank-you fee.”
“The rest was for your birthday gift.”
“Since Mr. Clark said so, I’ll use this money to buy you a necklace!”
“No way!” Harriet quickly refused. “That twenty thousand is all yours; I can’t take it.”
“If you really want to give a gift, buy me a dress worth one or two hundred dollars.”
Stephanie insisted. “My illness is almost cured; life will surely get better.”
“If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have met Mr. Clark. You must accept it, or I’ll ignore you!”
Flynn said to Harriet, “Stephanie has lips like red lotus and teeth like white jade-a sign of wealth.”
“And judging by her complexion with purple aura coming from heaven, she’s about to change her luck. By then, forget twenty thousand; she could easily afford millions. Don’t refuse her kindness.”
Stephanie was thrilled by Flynn’s words and smiled broadly. “I’ll take your good wishes! Harriet, did you hear that? I’m about to change my luck; will you still refuse?”
Stephanie looked at Harriet with a radiant smile.
Though she never believed in such mystical things, who wouldn’t like hearing good words?
Having suffered half her life, Stephanie longed for a change in fortune.
Harriet hesitated. “But I’ve never worn a necklace; I don’t know which one looks good.”
“Why not forget about it?”
Stephanie raised an eyebrow. “Don’t worry; I’m here! We can also ask Mr. Clark for help!”
“Mr. Clark, since we have a half-day off this afternoon, why not accompany us shopping?”
She looked at Flynn with a playful smile.
Stephanie knew about Harriet’s feelings for Flynn.
A woman dresses up for those who appreciate her beauty; if Flynn liked it, Harriet would naturally like it too.
“Stephanie, you’re being too forward!” Harriet rolled her eyes at Stephanie but secretly hoped Flynn would accompany them shopping.
“Alright then, I have nothing else this afternoon. Let’s buy the necklace and head straight to Cherry Blossom Inn,” Flynn agreed.
The three set off immediately and soon arrived at K Jewelry.
This was Niarak’s largest jewelry store with two floors covering over a thousand square meters and more than thirty display cabinets.
Entering felt like stepping into a treasure trove.
Golden glows and colorful lights filled the space with gold, jewels, jadeite, and diamonds in abundance.
There were eight display cabinets just for diamonds.
After trying on three necklaces, Flynn gave his opinion:
“This pearl necklace is nice; it suits your square face by softening its angles.”
“It adds great layers whether you’re wearing an evening dress or casual clothes.”
Harriet nodded slightly and placed the pearl necklace back on the glass display case.
It was clear she liked it too.
“Then it’s settled!”
“Miss, please wrap this up,” Stephanie told the store clerk while pointing at the necklace.
Priced at eighteen thousand dollars, it wasn’t too expensive and looked elegant.
Just as the clerk was about to wrap it up, a man and woman entered from the door. The woman loudly declared:
“Wait! I want that necklace!”
Hearing this voice made Flynn’s face change instantly.
He disliked many women but found Charlotte the most repulsive.
Other women might only disgust him personally; Charlotte disrespected even Matteo by calling him by name without regard for seniority.
On Flynn’s divorce day with Madeline, Charlotte was the loudest one at the civil affairs bureau-jumping around like a clown.
Charlotte approached with a limited edition bag on her arm accompanied by a handsome man.
“Oh my! Isn’t this Flynn?” Charlotte feigned surprise. “It’s been less than ten days since your divorce from my sister and you’re already with other girls?”
“Haha! Two girls even! Are you buying necklaces to coax them into bed?”
“A threesome tonight?”
The handsome man beside Charlotte glanced indifferently at both girls before settling his gaze on Flynn with a sneer.
Their ordinary attire didn’t suggest wealth-just ants!
“What nonsense are you spouting! We’re just friends with Mr. Clark; we’re paying for our own necklaces!” Stephanie’s face darkened at Charlotte’s harsh words.
“Oh?” Charlotte sneered at Flynn. “Smooth talker! Getting women to spend their own money.”
“Are they paying for your room too?”
