Divide and Rule
It was so painful to see the pain in Sebastian’s heart.
Sebastian’s eyes got soft hearing me, and he took deep breaths, flicked his eyes a few times to control his tears, and spoke, “I am sorry, Ara. I did not know you loved him, or else I would never have come between you two. Please forgive me for the same.” He looked down in shame.
“Don’t say that,” I say, hugging him.
Tears were flowing from my eyes, and I noticed Prisha was trying hard to flicker her tears, too. I know heartbreak is painful and that too seeing your childhood love, like someone else is more than painful I believe.
I broke down and smiled at him. “So, we are good now?”
“Yes, we are. And sorry once again, but trust me, I am really happy for you.” He said it, smiling.
“I trust you.” I know he is not lying. And it is good that he confessed his feelings, so there is no awkwardness between us.
“Now I take your leave. You have royally rejected a handsome guy, but I am sure there must be someone waiting for me. And who knows? That girl might be here somewhere at this party. So, I should try my luck,” he said, winking at me.
He left from there, kissing my forehead after saying, “Take care.”
I nodded to him, smiling.
Prisha came there with my juice, and we left the party when it was almost over.
I was excited to go back to Azar as soon as possible.
Little did I know someone’s piercing eyes were wreaking havoc on me.
SANYA POV
Sitting at the window, I am looking outside, thinking about my next step, and I hear the voice of my aunt.
“Princess, now do something. Use this time as much as you can,” Aunty spoke, looking at me.
“Aunty, what do you do to sit in this room? Can we not forget that I have this plaster on my leg? Though it is fake for me but not for others, and Azar, well, he will not even take a second to kick me out of this palace if he gets to know about our plan.” I spoke, still looking outside.
“Princess, I have an idea.” She whispered that idea into my ear.
“Oh, Aunty, how come I got so lucky to have you in my life? Thank you so much,” I say, hugging her and beaming at the happiness of her wonderful idea.
“You are welcome, my princess, so now let me work on our plan. In the meantime, you do your part.” She left the room, and I looked outside the window, smirking at my plan.
Next Day
Aunty asked Aunt Nina and Grandfather to visit a temple.
Grandfather denied polity, but Aunty said, “Senior Sire, I have prayed to God for your well-being, and see, for God’s grace, you are fit and fine. We must visit to pay our thanks to the Almighty.” She tried to convince her grandfather,
On the other side, Grandfather does not want to go, but he does not want to hurt Aunt’s emotions either, so finally he agrees to go with her.
Here, Aunty has made the full plan for not returning on time before midnight. So, Sanya can get some time with Azar.
In the evening, Azar came back to the palace and went to his chamber, and after a shower, he started walking toward his study, looking into his phone.
Sanya’s room was on the way. He stopped hearing someone whimper.
He went to Sanya’s room just to check whether she was okay because he knew Aunt Nina and Sanya’s aunt were both not in the palace.
He knocked on the door, but when he heard someone crying in pain, he rushed into the room and noticed Sanya sitting on the floor wearing an extremely short towel, and most of her body was in full view of Azar.
“Are you alright?” Azar completely ignored her appearance and asked in concern.
“No, I am not. I just took a shower but lost my balance, and now I cannot stand. I guess I have injured myself again.” She faked crying in front of him.
“Where is the maid, we kept for you?” He inquired, raising an eyebrow.
Azar was trying to understand the situation. He cannot get into any trap that easily.
Oh, Mona, yes, she has gone to the market to get some stuff I need.” She said this, pressing her leg as if it were hurting too much.
“Then why did you go for a shower when you knew you could not do anything without help?” Azar asks now if he understands her agenda.
“Or are you waiting for me to help you?” Azar threw the direct question out without beating around the bush.
Hearing this, Sanya became pale, and her pale face made Azar’s doubt clear.
Azar crosses his arm on his chest and says, “Ms. Morosini, I never thought you could stop this law to get my attention. But let me burst your bubble. If you stand naked in front of me, then I will also not look at you. I am the man of the principal, and the moment I decided to get married to Ara, that was the day I completely gave myself to her. She is and will be the only woman in my life till I am alive.” He declares while his eyes hold arrogance and hatred towards Sanya.
Hearing this, Sanya felt extremely insulted. No one had insulted her like this before. Getting Shiva was important. But her pride was equally important. After all, she is a princess and a proud princess.
She looked up venomously and spoke, “Oh, really? I wish you could say the same thing for Ara.” She smirks, saying this.
“I don’t need to because I know the facts.” Azar rerouted.
“Azar, I have known Ara since her birth, and I know her all, liking and disliking her.” And about you? You are just a new toy for her.” Sanya spoke, looking at her manicured nails.
“Watch your tongue before I forget our relationship.” Azar was losing his patience now.
