ARA’s POV
Vi was already on stage, taking care of everything in my absence.
She came running towards me the moment she looked at me.
“Babe, are you alright?” She looked at me from top to bottom.
“How did you drink last night? You never drink when we are outside.” She inquired more.
I look at Prisha, and she shakes her head a little, so that means she has not told her anything about last night.
“Well, I don’t know, babe. I guess at the bar I took someone else’s glass by mistake. Anyway, now I am feeling much better.
“Now tell me, what is the scene?” I ignored further talk and started doing my work.
Finally, the last show was an outstanding success, and it is a farewell party today.
Because of the design head, I had to be here and meet people. Running into my room and sleeping peacefully was not an option today. Regardless, I stayed at the party to meet important people.
Finally, I got tired and wanted fresh air, but going out again was not the option I had, so I came to the corner of the room with Prisha.
“Prisha, my head and legs are hurting.” I press my head, saying this.
“You must be dehydrated. My Queen. Wait here. Let me get something for you. Please be here only.” Saying she left the place.
I was standing and looking at my phone, thinking about calling Azar. Today, I did not have time to call him.
“Ara.” I heard Sebastian’s voice, and somehow it all reminded me of yesterday’s conversation.
I did not turn to his side and stayed still.
“I know you are angry. Look, I am sorry.” Right now, I don’t need him, sorry; I just want him to leave here as soon as possible.
‘There are so many people around, and I don’t want to do any drama. I don’t know about him, but I have a reputation to hold on to.’ I thought.
Ara, please, baby, look at me.” And now I have lost it.
“Excuse me? What did you call me just now?”
“Baby?
Whose baby?
I am not your baby. Do you get that?
You know you are talking to a married woman, right?” I was pissed as hell, but my smiling face was intact while saying this all because I know anyone can see us here, and making scenes is the last thing I want here.
“See, I know you are angry, but please listen to me for once.” He requested coming close to me.
I noticed from the corner of my eye that Prisha came with a glass of juice but stood at a safe distance from us to give us some privacy.
“Ok, I am listening,” I said again, smiling but took a small step back.
“See, I know you are married, but I also know in what circumstances you got married to that guy.” He spoke, looking directly into my eyes.
“But trust me, I don’t care if you are single or married.”
He tried to hold my hand, which I snatched back.
“I am not getting what you are trying to say, Mr. Devis.” Because now I want to know what he is saying. He is not making any sense to me right now.
“Oh, so now I am Mr. Devis for you?” He spoke sarcastically.
“You were always Mr. Devis for me.” I stated the matter of fact.
“Ara, please don’t talk like that,” he said, saying he tried to hold me by my waist, and I instantly took a step back. I noticed Prisha started coming towards us, but I signalled for her to stop, and she did and stood right there.
I know Sebastian is anything but harmful.
He huffed and started, “Ara, I have been in love with you since our childhood but never got the guts to speak because of your status. So, I worked hard to get here so I could give you everything in the world you need. But when you got married, I thought to forget about you, but now I know under what circumstances you got married. So now I will not let you be with that guy, even for a single second.” He grips my hand, and I am still trying to get what he is saying.
“We will apply for a divorce, and you don’t worry; I will handle everything. You just came with me.” His eyes provided warmth I did not require at all.
‘What the fuck is he saying?’ I thought.
Now this guy has crossed all the limits.
Hearing his love confession made me angry, but I don’t want to hurt him. He is my friend, and I never want to see him in any pain.
Listen, Sebastian, first. Azar is the guy I want in my life. I love him sincerely. And he loves me too.” I spoke, holding his hand in mine.
“I don’t know what made you think that this marriage was a burden for me, or worse, that I am forcefully married to him. But, to be honest, nothing sort of happened. We both love each other from the core of our hearts. I spoke my heart out.
“And about you, I am sorry, but you were always a brother to me, which I never had. For me, you are nothing more than that. Trust me. And I am sorry if you got any wrong signals from me, but trust me, it was not intentional. I never noticed you like that in my life.” I could feel hurt and pain in his eyes, but he needed to know the truth.
“And about Azar, we married because we wanted to, and I am thrilled with him. He makes me feel like the happiest and luckiest person on this earth.” I want to clear up all the assumptions right now.
“Azar is the one I want to live with and the one I want to die for.” I poured my heart out.
“Please forgive me. I never wanted a reason for your pain. But at the same time, neither you were nor will be the person I love, because I already have someone who rules my heart, and that is my king.” I made him understand the depth of our relationship.
