Gabriella’s POV
“Like I said, I am no longer your sister, okay? You made things easy for me, Gabby. You walked directly to me so I could kill you. Thank you for saving me the stress of kidnapping you and killing others.”
“I can make things right again, sister. Just try and understand what happened in the past. I met Nicklaus first, and he was my mate. I…” She gripped my jaw and looked deep into my eyes, saying, “Enough. It’s time for you to die. I am done with you.”
She was about to rip out my heart when something magical happened. Her hands were suspended in the air, and I was taken away from her. My eyes were already closing, and I could barely see a thing.
“What do you think you are about to do, Tracy?”
“My love, I didn’t know you were back. She is my sister I told you about, and I want to kill her because she ruined everything.”
“Without my consent?” He questioned.
“Do I need approval from you before I kill my blood?”
“Yes, you do, and she is now my bride.” I finally fell asleep in the process.
I woke up on a beautiful bed with lots of amazing artwork on the walls. Who am I? What is my name? How come I don’t remember my identity?
I got off the bed and fell to the ground immediately. My head hurt so much, and the noise was just too much.
The door opened, revealing a tall, handsome man with blonde gold hair, dark blue eyes, pink lips, and long lashes rushing to my aid and helping me up.
“Are you hurt, my beloved?”
“Your beloved?” I got a bit confused by what he meant by that and ran away from him.
“I know you are scared, but you don’t need to be afraid of me. I am your lover, and our wedding is coming up next month.”
“Wedding? How come I have no memory of you? I don’t even know my name. I don’t know who I am as well. This is so confusing,” I added, and he came close to me, but seeing the way I acted, he stopped and said, “My name is Alpha Nate Matthews, the Alpha of the Black Moon Pack, and you are Gabriella, the Moon God Luna, and my beloved. Does it ring a bell?”
“No, it doesn’t. I still can’t remember a thing. Are you sure my name is Gabriella? Where are my families?”
“You know what, my love, let’s take things slowly. You must be hungry. Come with me, let’s eat together, after which I will tell you everything you need to know. But for your health, the pack doctor told me not to rush you with every memory we have created.”
“Thank you,” I smiled at him and finally got the opportunity to be free with him a bit. I knew he would be hurt seeing the way I ran from him earlier, and he mentioned we were in a relationship.
We stepped out of the room together and descended the stairs, and everyone hailed us and bowed their heads as well.
It looked strange to me, I must say. But seeing the way Nate kept looking at me showed me that he really cared for me and loved me so much. His eyes were fixed on me, and his smiles were amazing as well. I must be lucky to have him in my life.
He pulled out a chair for me to sit in the dining area, and the food was served by the maids. “Enjoy your meal, Alpha Nate and Luna Gabriella.”
“Thank you,” I said with a smile.
“You don’t like the food?” He questioned, and I forced a smile, saying, “Yes, I love the food. I’m sorry; I stared around for too long. Everything looked so new to me.”
“You don’t have to be sorry all the time, my love. I will always be here for you. I promise you from the first day we started dating each other,” he said and kissed my hand.
“Thank you for keeping your promises to me.” I dug into the meal, and it was tasty. I loved what I was eating now. It was like I hadn’t eaten food for days, and I kept requesting more plates of the same dish. He laughed and said, “You are so funny with the way you enjoy your meal.”
“Really? Was I a foodie before I lost my memory?”
“Yes, you were a foodie, and I love you even more,” he added. When he smiled, his dimples made him look more charming. He looked like a handsome man on Earth.
“Thank you so much, Nate,” I added.
We finished eating, and he suggested we take a walk, thinking it might help me regain my memories, but nothing seemed to be working.
“Can you tell me more about my identity?”
“Yes, my love. You are from the Silver Moon Pack, but you left your family because your father and sister hated you.”
“You mean I ran away from home? How could my father and sister hate me? What did I do?”
“You didn’t shift into a werewolf like others.”
“Werewolf? Does that mean you are not a human? Wait a minute, am I also a werewolf?”
“You are a werewolf, Gabby. That’s why you are called the Moon God Luna, the one Luna who has the power to make peace and war. I am the Alpha, meaning the leader of my pack,” he explained gradually, and then I finally understood everything.
“You were pregnant with our baby, and you lost the child because of your father, one of the reasons you hated them so much.” I touched my stomach immediately after he finished his sentence. I was pregnant and I lost my baby. My father never gave me the opportunity to be with my unborn child. Why was he so wicked? Tears welled up in my eyes, and Nate helped me up. Then I heard a voice saying, “Hey, Gabriella. My name is Leah, and I am your wolf.” Was I going crazy already?
“How do you know my name? Are you inside of me? Please, stop making me think I am going insane already.”
“I am sorry if I scared you. This is my first time meeting you after we shifted and got connected as one with each other,” she said to me, and I spoke with Nate immediately, “My wolf form is speaking to me.”
“I guess I will tell you more about that tomorrow. There are things you should know as well,” he added.
