Gabriella’s POV
“What do you mean, sister? I really do not understand what you just said,” I inquired with a smile.
“I mean, Father will no longer get an opportunity to mock you for being a worthless Omega. You are now a powerful Luna. I am proud of you, and I wish you the best as your sister,” she said, and tears welled up in my eyes as I hugged her again.
She patted my hair, and then the ladies came with a tray of food for us to eat. I ate with excitement bubbling inside me. Everything was going well, but where was Jessica? How come she hasn’t come in here to hurry me home before Nicklaus starts searching for me everywhere?
“Thanks for the food, sister,” I said with a smile.
“You are welcome, sister. Eat to your satisfaction, Gabby. I will be taking you home to finally get some rest,” she added.
“Thanks, sister, for your love, but I don’t think I will be able to be home with you today. I didn’t tell Nick I was coming here to see you, and also, a party is being held for me since I shifted into a wolf fully. If you don’t mind, you are invited as well. I know it’s short notice.”
“Hmmmmm,” was her response. I guess it’s too sudden for her, so I totally understand her very well.
“I am sorry; I just said it out of excitement, that’s all. And it’s okay if you can’t come now. Maybe some other time that is not sudden for you,” I added.
“Yeah, can we eat now?” She said, and I nodded, digging into the meal.
“Wow, this is delicious; I love this, sister,” I said with excitement and emptied the glass of juice as well.
“Yes, they are good in the kitchen. If you need extra, let me know. I will always take care of you like I used to,” she smiled at me.
“So, sister, what about my friends? Are they okay?”
“Yes, they are okay. They got married two years after you left.”
“Wow, I knew it; I knew they would surely have a happy ending together.”
“Yes, many people are destined to be happy,” she added.
“Tracy, I am happy we spent a few moments together, and I am giving you my word I will come around to do this often. But right now, I need to look for my friend and leave immediately. I don’t want Nick to know I left at all,” I added and stood up immediately. But I noticed my legs were extremely weak, and my vision was blurry. What is happening to me?
“We have been drugged,” Leah said to me.
“No way, my sister can’t do that to me,” I replied to her. And before I knew it, Tracy dragged my hair with force, “YOU ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE, GABBY!!!”
“Sister, why? I thought you were happy to see me. Why would you want to hurt me?”
“I ceased being your sister the very day my husband asked for a divorce to be with you.” She slapped me hard, and I don’t know why I became so weak, so weak to even access my wolf powers.
“I am sorry, Tracy. I didn’t mean to take Nicklaus from you. He was my mate, and he mistook you for me.” I kept explaining myself over and over again, but it was not working. Tracy had changed so much. She is no longer the good and caring sister I know. I am to be blamed for this. I turned her into a beast.
If I had summoned the courage in the past to tell her before the wedding took place, I wouldn’t have lost my sister.
“Who do you think you are, Gabriella? You think you can just walk in here unannounced, and I will accept you back because you are the Moon God Luna?” She yelled at me, and tears streamed down my face.
“That’s not what I have in my mind, Tracy. I came here because I missed you and wanted to see you again.”
“No, Gabby. I know the reason you came here. You came here because you want to mock me. I never got a happy ending, but you got one. Why? I love Nicklaus so much, and you took him away.” She roared at me, but I was already getting dizzy.
“Sister, you are letting your emotions take the best part of you. I never took Nicklaus from you. He is my mate, and you know our wolves’ custom. You have to end up with your mate no matter what. If you were in my shoes, you would still choose to be with your mate, and likewise, if I were in your shoes, I would understand and still be with my own destined mate.”
“Can you stop talking? I don’t want to hear any trash from your mouth. I am going to end you now. I will kill you with my own hands and bury you in the woods.”
Oh no, she sounded so scary, and from the way I saw things, she looked like she meant everything she had said, and she was going to kill me for real.
“Please don’t harm me. I have a child to protect and a husband to return to. If you let me go, I promise you, I will never return to you or father. I promise. Just let me go unharmed. I beg of you.”
“No way I am letting you go,” she replied with anger written all over her face.
“At first, I thought it was a rumor, but when I made my findings, I discovered it was not a rumor and it was true. I heard you shifted and became the Moon God Luna, and you have an army that willingly gave their loyalty to you.”
She bent to my level, bringing out her claws. “I said to myself, killing her will be so difficult, but there must be a way to make you weak. Then I completed the plans. Someone offered me a poison that can weaken you, and it will take a week for you to recover from it.” She laughed like an evil princess.
“I am your sister; you can’t hurt your own blood,” I added.
