Gabriella’s POV
“Tracy,” tears welled up in my eyes.
“I am not dreaming, right?” She questioned, and I didn’t know when I used my wolf speed to dash into her warm embrace.
“I have missed you so much, sister. I am so happy to see you again. I know you must have been worried about me all these years. I am sorry I left without telling you.” I didn’t let go, not even for a moment. My sister never changed except in her body size, but her warm heart is still there, which is why I have this belief that peace can still be restored among us.
“I miss you too, sister. So good of you to locate me here,” she said.
“Yeah, someone helped me. I guess she must have left just to give me some privacy with you. What are you doing here, by the way? I am so certain that this is not our pack and home,” I added, looking around.
“No, this is not our pack, but that’s not important right now. What is important right now is actually you, and you know that.” She let out a smile.
“Yes, you are right, my twin sister. Other stuff is not as important as you are to me right now.” I hugged her again, and she caressed my hair.
“I know you have so much to tell me, just the way I have so many things in mind to talk about. But where do I start from?” She asked, looking confused, and the same as me. I really didn’t know where to begin, but all the same, I couldn’t waste more time here.
Nicklaus hasn’t mind-linked with me yet, which means he is still busy and hasn’t noticed my absence. So, I will be fast and return home before he finally notices and gets worried. I know so well he will not be happy with me for coming here in the first place. But at the end of the day, I am certain he will be happy that I came here because I know for sure the end result will be peace reigning. This is a good thing for me and for all of us.
Look at Tracy, still looking as beautiful as ever, and I believe she is still hardworking. If she was still mad at me for leaving and taking Nicklaus from her, she probably would have chased me out already. I am happy she still loves me just the way she always does.
“You know what, sister?” Tracy said with a big grin on her face, holding my hands and having many expectations in her eyes.
“What? Tell me, please. Hope Father is well?”
“Father is well since you are here. Let us dine together and talk about everything we have missed in our lives. How about that?”
“That’s a great idea, and I just found out that I am so famished.”
“Remember, I always got your back as your sister.” She smiled at me, and we hugged again.
I walked with her, and she instructed two ladies to get us something to eat in the garden, and they rushed to carry out the errand.
“Where is this place anyway? Did she move away from our home to be far from our father and the entire world? My sister doesn’t seem like someone who would be engaged to the wicked Alpha of the Black Moon Pack; she is not that heartless. I also believe she is like me, wanting to be with a destined mate who will love and cherish her for life. I am certain he is not her mate or true lover. Maybe rumors are just spreading so my mate will remain angry with them and my family. Once this misunderstanding is taken care of, they will not need to worry about anything else anymore. Peace will be the topic at the end of the day, and war will be forgotten and removed from our thoughts as well.
If not for Margaret, I could have been dead. I hate the Black Moon Pack so much.”
“So, sister, why did you run on my wedding day? What happened? Did Father do something to upset you?” She questioned.
“Father always annoys me, and I’ve grown used to it as well. I wanted to be as far away as possible so I wouldn’t ruin things for you and your newly wedded husband, even if he was my mate.”
“I didn’t know.”
“I know, this is the truth, Tracy. I ended up having a one-night stand with my mate, and I got pregnant by him as well. He mistook you for me and didn’t want to be with a worthless omega like me.”
“I see,” she added.
“Yes, sister, I tried to convince him, and you looked so happy as well. I didn’t want to steal your happiness, but I never knew he would end things with you when he discovered the truth,” I added, looking at her expression to see if she was still okay with me or not. I couldn’t predict her thoughts; some things are quite off about my sister.
Oh no, I wasn’t supposed to bring up the past because it will definitely hurt her, knowing she got married and later got a divorce as well in the entire process.
“I am sorry if I reminded you of the past,” I added, with concern in my eyes.
“I am not angry, and stop saying sorry. Alpha Nicklaus was not mine in the first place, so the rumors are true; you really have a daughter with him?”
“Yes, I do, and I can’t wait for you two to meet. I miss home so much, even if I love my new home now,” I smiled as well.
“That reminds me, I saw how you used wolf speed to hug me. Is the rumor true? Did you actually meet your wolf? Are you the Moon god Luna?” She inquired from me, and I nodded my head in approval, saying, “Yes, I am, and I know, it’s really embarrassing.”
“No, it’s not. It’s a win-win for me since you came here yourself,” she replied, and her smile looked a bit dangerous to me as well.
