Gabriella’s POV
“WHAT? I can never do that; it’s impossible.” There is no way I can betray my home or join hands with the enemy. I will never do that, even if I am dying; I will never bring doom to Nick and the pack.
“That’s why I am confused. You are the Luna now, and this is your home. Though I have no idea of your past life or your family, you just have to be careful with everything from now on,” she advised me, and I smiled.
“Thank you. I will try my possible best to be careful, and please, can we keep this to ourselves? I don’t want Nicklaus to be worried.”
“Sure, this will be our little secret then. So, let’s begin with our spell training, how about that?”
“Well, I am ready. Vu en gluflu…” I said, and some branches came out, falling Jessica to the ground, and I ended up laughing.
“Impressive; you took me unaware.”
“I did my homework.” I felt so proud of myself that I am improving. I wish Margaret were here to witness it.
“I see. Wal.” She said a short spell, and I got splashed with water.
“Gotcha.” She said, and we ended up laughing.
“Okay, let’s be serious now. I am ready to learn, so teach me, before Mateo comes and steals you from me.”
“You are right because I am missing him already. So, you need to grab this opportunity at once.”
She blindfolded my eyes and said to me, “Now you are blindfolded, what kind of magic do you think you can do that can set you free?”
She asked a question that I don’t know the response to give.
I finished learning and returned to the bedroom to take a little break since Nicklaus was quite busy now.
What should I be doing now? How are my friends doing? I brought out my phone and decided to visit the internet, and I saw my old account I used in creating content to post. This was the part of me I kind of missed, but there is no way I can go back to it anymore. I am no more bullied, so I don’t need to hide my identity anymore.
I faced the mirror and closed my eyes as I tried to shift into a werewolf, but I failed again. Damn it. I tried again and again but to no avail. The words used on me when I got captured played in my head. I was reminded how weak and useless I am.
To avoid thinking less of myself, I stepped out to be with Nicklaus. Then I heard him talking to Jessica, and I interrupted them.
“Just don’t tell her, when everything has fallen in the right place, we can then tell her, can you do that?”
“Do what? What are you both talking about? Are you hiding something from me? What could that be?” I asked, and when I got their attention, they turned around to look at me wearing a smile.
“Oh, talk of the angel, she is here. Your husband and I were planning a surprise for you. I can’t believe you heard us. I think next time we will have to leave this mansion and go far away to plan so we can still get you by surprise,” Jessica added, and I blushed.
I should have stayed back if I knew they were discussing a surprise meant for me. Gosh, I just ruined it.
“Don’t worry; I didn’t hear anything. I can simply turn around now, and you both can continue planning. For the record, I love cake very much.” I smiled.
“Don’t worry; we are done anyway. I will be taking my leave now. Trust me, Alpha, I will not let her know,” she said and took her leave.
“I am sorry, my love. I didn’t know you were planning something great for me.” I said, hugging him, and he kissed my forehead, saying, “You don’t have to be sorry, but I will also take you unaware with my surprise.” He said and carried me from the ground.
“Where are you taking me to anyway? Please put me down.” I added, but I am actually enjoying myself right now, and I don’t even want him to drop me.
“I am taking you out to the world. I want to show you off; you are so beautiful, and you are my mate. I am proud of you.” He said, and I let out a smile.
“I am bored here and tired of training every day. Is there anything fun we can do? Like just the three of us.”
“You mean, both of us along with our daughter?” he questioned.
“Yes, that’s what I mean,” I replied.
“Then let’s visit the pack. How about that?”
“That sounds fun to me. So, when do we go there?”
“How about tomorrow evening?”
“Not bad. I know Estella will be so excited. I am going to inform her right now,” I said, but he refused to drop me. Instead, he asked for a kiss. “I won’t kiss you.”
“If you won’t kiss me, then I won’t drop you down. So, will you kiss me or not?”
“You wow, I will kiss you.”
“That’s my girl.” He added and kissed me slowly with our tongues mixed and my hands holding his face with my eyes closed.
He allowed me to come down and whispered to my hearing, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” I replied to him.
“I need to go now, pack issues.”
I suddenly remembered Mateo came to inform him about the lady that was in his custody. He didn’t even mention anything about it.
“What about the lady that is in your custody? Did she tell you who she is working for?”
“She doesn’t know; she was just paid some amount of money to mention those words to you,” he replied, but something told me he is lying.
“Are you sure about it? It’s kind of weird, you know. I think she might be covering it up.”
“I thought as much, but it’s true. The person thought she would expose their identity, so they tried to kill her.”
“I am glad she survived it.”
“Yeah, me too, but she will remain here until I am ready to let her go.”
“Yeah, that’s the best thing to do,” I replied with a smile.
Lilly Park
I got all dressed up with my daughter; we got ready to visit Lilly Park together, and I know it’s going to be fun.
“Mom, can I bring my friends along?”
“Oh, sweetheart, next time I will create time for you to bring your friends, but today is just family.” I caressed her hair.
“Okay, Mom, I am ready. Where is Daddy?”
“He is getting the car ready,” I replied to her.
We stepped out together, holding each other’s hands, and on our way out, we saw Nicklaus looking a little bit different. He was wearing a white T-shirt and short blue jeans along with black canvas shoes; he looked super-hot.
“Daddy, you look good.”
“Thank you, dearest, but your mom is yet to compliment my outfit.” He smiled, and I hugged him, saying, “You look amazing.”
“And you look beautiful, my love.” He kissed me and said with happiness, “The car is all set; let’s get ready to go.”
“Yes, lead the way,” I said.
We all walked to the car, and Estella sat in the back seat while I sat in the front seat with Nicklaus.
“One of my wishes just came true.”
“Really? Tell me about it.”
“It’s a secret,” he replied, and I frowned my face, saying, “No problem, keep your secret to yourself.”
“You know you look sexy whenever you get angry.” I couldn’t continue carrying a straight face; a genuine smile came out from me, and he kissed my cheek in the process.
“Get ready, family. Today is going to be fun-filled, I assure you.”
“Yes, Daddy, I can’t wait.”
He started the car and zoomed off at once. He drove at a normal speed and increased the music playing in the car, and we all sang the song with happiness. For a very long time, I feel more alive and well-deserved by my family. I pray this happiness continues this way forever and ever.
Unexpectedly, someone shot the tire of our car, and Nick tried his best to control the wheel of the car in the process. “Don’t be scared; I will protect you all,” he said, trying so hard. I told my daughter to close her eyes so she would not witness what is happening right now.
They shot the car again, and the wheel of the car was beyond his control. I saw fear in his eyes. We just got attacked unexpectedly, and we are going to die all together here. The car moved on its own without any control of the wheel, and we crashed into a big tree.
