“Taking advantage of the fact that I can’t leave here, they make me do servant’s work!”
“Just looking at his smug face makes me want to smash it!”
“Once I meet the God of War and get the information I need, I’m going to give him a good beating, dump trash on his desk, and then quit!”
Molly was vigorously wiping the table, muttering under her breath.
As she was planning how to infuriate Flynn on her last day, she suddenly froze.
She turned around immediately.
Seeing Flynn’s gaze fixed on her waist, her face darkened.
“What are you doing?” Molly glared at him fiercely and adjusted her pants.
Flynn, startled by Molly, cleared his throat:
“Waiting for you to finish wiping the table so I can start working!”
He pretended nothing had happened and walked inside, sitting down in his chair.
Seeing Flynn’s smug look, Molly felt a surge of anger. She didn’t want to waste words with him and picked up the cloth to leave.
“Wait!”
Flynn called out to her.
“What? Want to drag me into another fight? Don’t even think about it!” Molly said with a scowl.
Recalling what happened on Southridge Mountain, Molly felt annoyed.
As a secretary, serving him tea and water was one thing, but helping him fight was too much.
She was fuming inside.
Flynn didn’t mind Molly’s rudeness. He sat casually in his chair and started writing something.
While writing, he asked, “Where do you live?”
A flash of caution crossed Molly’s eyes as she replied coldly, “What does my living place have to do with you?”
The more she looked at Flynn, the angrier she got.
This old pervert was useless except for his martial skills!
Especially on the day of the horse race, Molly always felt like she was being ogled by Flynn’s occasional glances.
He wouldn’t get more obsessed and try to act on his thoughts, would he?
Ha! Think again!
If he dares to make a move on me, I’ll make sure he regrets it!
She couldn’t understand why other men would avoid her like the plague but this guy acted so brazenly. Where did he get the courage?
Didn’t he know she dared to hit even rich young masters?
Just last year, the son of an East Sea official wanted to ask her out and ended up with a broken nose from her punch.
If Flynn had any evil thoughts, she’d break more than just his nose!
“Is this how you answer your boss?” Flynn narrowed his eyes and gave a fake smile.
Molly wanted to retort but sensed a threat in Flynn’s tone. She replied reluctantly, “Lakeside Community!”
“Oh? That’s quite close. But that place is too old,” Flynn smiled. “Want to move somewhere better? A spacious flat with fine decoration and a great environment close by.”
Molly was stunned.
Flynn wanted to change her living place?
This guy must have ulterior motives. He probably hid a spare key somewhere and planned to sneak in while she slept…
“No thanks!” Molly rolled her eyes and replied coldly.
As Barney’s granddaughter, she wasn’t short of money. However, after years of rigorous training with her master, she didn’t care much about living conditions as long as it was livable.
Flynn frowned and said directly, “You need to live with Scarlet; it’s part of your job!”
Molly was Barney’s granddaughter and also the Governor’s niece. Her martial skills were impressive too. As long as she stayed close to Scarlet, no one would dare approach them.
“Scarlet?” Molly was taken aback by Flynn’s words.
Flynn handed her a piece of paper and said, “I won’t make you protect her for nothing. Here are some suggestions for improving your martial arts and a recipe for enhancing your physique. Follow it for a week and you’ll be much stronger, making it easier to reach Grandmaster Realm.”
Molly scoffed at Flynn’s words and said coldly, “I don’t need your suggestions or any ridiculous recipes.”
“If you want me to live with Miss Wong, fine.”
“But answer one question first.”
Flynn knew what she was thinking and replied calmly, “You want to know what God of War learned from King of Poison before he died, right?”
“If I told you Cruz wasn’t involved and King of Poison revealed nothing useful, would you believe me?”
Molly was momentarily stunned but then sneered. “Did my grandfather or God of War teach you those lines?”
“You want me to give up? Impossible!”
The scene was so bloody; King of Poison was torn into pieces. Only a Great Grandmaster could do that. Rose had intricate ties with Cruz; who else could it be?
“Forget it. I know you’re under orders not to reveal anything about that day.”
“I’ll protect Scarlet!”
“But remember, I’m not doing it because of you.”
“I’m only agreeing because she’s been good to me. That’s all!”
With that, Molly turned and left the office.
She hadn’t been idle lately; she’d been tracking Cruz’s whereabouts. She also heard about God of War being summoned back to Niarak by the military tomorrow. He wouldn’t be able to hide then.
After Molly left the office, Scarlet came in carrying several stacks of documents.
“She agreed,” Flynn said while signing papers.
Scarlet looked worried. “I don’t mind myself; just make sure you and Ms. Sharp stay safe!”
Flynn had explained the stakes that morning, which had scared Scarlet quite a bit. Billions in interests could drive people mad. Planting a bomb in Thodell Mansion or an ambush wasn’t out of the question.
Flynn waved dismissively and handed Scarlet the paper he had written earlier. “I wrote some suggestions and a recipe for enhancing physique. Molly didn’t take them; try convincing her.”
Now wasn’t the time for petty squabbles with Molly. Since she was determined to investigate thoroughly, she needed to be prepared for danger. A Semi-Grandmaster like her would be no match for those behind King of Poison.
After giving these instructions, Flynn left the company.
Emerald Cove Estates.
Second only to Plenilune Mountain in terms of luxury villas.
Prices ranged from fifty million to five hundred million dollars.
Much cheaper than Plenilune Mountain but farther from the city center. Each villa had a large garden with excellent privacy.
Kendal’s villa was halfway up the mountain.
At this moment, luxury cars were already gathered at the entrance.
Flynn glanced towards the courtyard; his eyes narrowed as he looked at the dense forest in the backyard and smirked coldly:
“This banquet is going to be interesting!”
