Rosiley and Yayoi waited for 30 minutes before Manni arrived at the scene.
She seemed to be a shadow of her former self, perhaps due to everything she had been through over the past two days. Fatigue was written all over her beautiful features.
When the members of the film crew saw how haggard she looked, they looked at her sympathetically.
“This is her comeuppance,” Yayoi said with a smirk as she looked at Manni. She then lifted her camera and started taking pictures of her surroundings.
Her actions caught Manni’s eye. Maybe it was the click of the camera, and the woman suddenly looked over in their direction.
Her face twisted in resentment when she saw Rosiley.
“Rosiley, you bitch!” she yelled as she strode over and gave Rosiley a hard shove.
She moved so quickly that no one on the scene was able to react fast enough.
Rosiley was caught off guard by Manni’s sudden outburst and lost her balance. She stumbled backward from the impact.
“Manni, what the hell is wrong with you?” Yayoi quickly caught her friend and glared angrily at Manni.
Rosiley soon stabilized herself and asked icily, “Manni, are you a dog running around looking for someone to bite just because you’ve lost your endorsement and variety show deals?”
“Rosiley, stop putting on a front. Don’t you know that I’m in this state because of you? If you hadn’t set that man on me, would I be in such a sorry state?” Manni retorted. Her eyes were red-rimmed and she looked a little hysterical.
“What man?” Rosiley asked in confusion as she frowned.
Manni seemed to know that the sorry state she was in was because of her.
Had she figured out that Sachin was behind this?
She forced herself to calm down despite her surprise and said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“What’s wrong? Why are you still putting on false pretenses at this stage? Don’t you dare deny that you weren’t acquainted with that man who stood beside you that night? Rorey said that he was behind all my recent misfortune because he was secretly helping you,” Manni said angrily.
Her face had twisted in fury, and there was no longer a trace of her usual ethereal aura.
Their public spat had attracted quite a bit of attention from the crew on the scene.
Everyone was shocked by Manni’s words and looked at Rosiley in disbelief.
Rosiley was very calm because she had guessed that the man Manni was referring to was Corey.
Now that she thought about it, Sachin must have thrown his brother out as a diversion tactic again!
Rosiley couldn’t help chuckling to herself but her expression was glacial as she replied. “Manni, I can’t believe you trusted every word Rorey fed you. since when were you so obliging? Don’t forget that Rorey is my nemesis. She might even be using you to get back at me! And, why do you think you have the right to question me? Do you think I would have forgotten what you and Rorey did to me two days ago?”
No one knew what Rosiley was referring to, but Manni immediately knew what she was talking about.
“What nonsense are you talking?” she snapped back. But something flickered in her eyes and she quickly looked away as though she felt guilty. She didn’t seem as indignant as she did before while she said, “You’re leveling false accusations at me. I don’t know who that man is but you’re not the only one who has someone powerful behind you. Let me leave you with a warning. Stop trying to make life difficult for me, or I won’t let you off.”
“Is that so? I’d like to see how you intend to get back at me,” Rosiley said as she smirked in response to Manni’s feeble threat.
Because she had some dirt on Manni, she wasn’t afraid of her, so it remained to be seen who would end up suffering more losses.
