Yayoi exclaimed furiously. “That bitch. Life must have been too easy for her. We should have made things difficult for her.”
“Actually, I’m more curious to know who locked me in the washroom when I was distracted,” Rosiley said as her face hardened.
Yayoi froze for a moment before asking, “Do you think Lonny had something to do with it too?”
Rosiley shook her head uncertainly after a moment of thought. “I’m not sure, but even if it wasn’t her, I’m sure Rorey must have had something to do with it. I suspect that it is highly possible that whoever locked me inside had conspired with Rorey, Ariella Ning, and Manni.”
“You reminded me of something,” Yayoi suddenly said.
“What?” Rosiley asked.
“Didn’t our manager arrange for me to tag alongside a film crew over the past few days? Coincidentally, Manni was part of the film crew. She seemed to be in a terrible mood when I went over yesterday morning. And when I asked around, I heard that more than 10 companies had dropped Manni from their commercials yesterday. She lost a significant number of large endorsement deals from major foreign brands as well.” Yayoi seemed to gloat over the woman’s misery as she said that.
Anyone who was against Rosiley was her personal nemesis as well.
Thus, she was naturally pleased to witness the undoing of her nemesis as well.
Rosiley was also taken aback by the news.
Manni was an A-lister, so these companies would have had to pay through the nose to terminate her contracts.
If someone had secretly caused her to lose more than a dozen endorsement deals, the amount this person had to pay… must have been incredibly large!
Rosiley immediately thought of Sachin.
Except him, who else could go this far?
“Hehe, those bitches don’t know who they are messing with. They will get their comeuppance one day if they continue to wrack their brains thinking of ways to torment you.”
“Of course, they’ll have to pay the price. Are you heading over to join the film crew in the afternoon? Take me with you.”
Rosiley followed Yayoi to a set of the film studios at 2 p. m.
The film crew was extremely busy when they arrived.
Yayoi led Rosiley to a quiet corner after she greeted some of the crew she was familiar with.
“I don’t see Manni anywhere,” Rosiley muttered after she looked around and couldn’t find the person she was searching for.
Yayoi nodded. She was about to speak when she heard several members of the film crew gossiping in hushed whispers.
“Have you heard? Manni has been removed from several reality shows that she was due to star in!”
“Of course. This is an open secret that is causing shockwaves to ripple through the industry.”
“She seems to have run into a patch of bad luck. I wonder what brought about this sudden turn of events when she was doing so well before.”
“I heard she offended someone she shouldn’t have.”
“We all have to suffer because of her sudden bout of bad luck. She took it out on all of us just because she’s the female lead. Even the director wasn’t spared from her wrath.”
“Heh, if she continues to be so rude, I doubt anyone else will want to work with her…”
Rosiley and Yayoi heard these staff members clearly even though they were speaking in hushed whispers.
They didn’t feel sorry for Manni at all.
If Manni had the guts to plot against someone else, she should have been prepared for the consequences.
