Chapter 1319: Eradicating Evil

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-7-1

The cold, dark mist quickly dissipated under the scorching flames of the fire dragon.
Soon, all the dark mist vanished.
Within the mist, Helena and Elder Redmond disappeared.
“Where are those two?” Serene and the others below looked shocked and confused.
They had escaped.
No wonder. The old witch’s painstakingly crafted Bronze Corpse Puppet and her ultimate weapon, the Five Elements Necromantic Child Ghost, which took a century to refine, were both destroyed by Leo. Realizing she was no match for him, she had no choice but to flee.
“You little brat, just you wait. Destroying my Bronze Corpse Puppet and capturing my Five Elements Necromantic Child Ghost, I will one day extract your soul and make you wish you were dead!”
From the distant sky came Helena’s eerie, crow-like screech.
Leo glanced up. In the distant sky, two black dots were rapidly disappearing.
Leo was not one to show mercy. He knew the importance of eradicating evil completely and couldn’t let the old witch escape.
With a thought, the Divine Dragon Sword left Leo’s hand and floated before him.
Leo leaped onto the Divine Dragon Sword and, with a Gale Talisman, transformed into a streak of light, chasing after Helena and Elder Redmond.
This scene of Sword Flight made Leo appear ethereal and otherworldly.
Below, Serene and the others watched in awe, their faces filled with excitement and shock.
Sword Flight was something they had only seen in movies and TV shows.
In the distant sky.
“Elder Helena, I am truly sorry for what happened,” Elder Redmond said, sensing the furious dark energy emanating from Helena.
“Elder Redmond, I sacrificed so much this time. My painstakingly crafted Bronze Corpse Puppet and my century-old Five Elements Necromantic Child Ghost are both gone!”
“And it’s all because of your Rossetti family. I demand compensation from your family!”
Helena’s voice was always chilling.
“Yes, our Rossetti family will definitely compensate you, Elder Helena,” Elder Redmond quickly nodded.
“Your Rossetti family’s treasure vault will belong to me,” Helena said ominously, staring at Elder Redmond.
Hearing Helena’s words, Elder Redmond’s already pale face turned even paler.
As one of Atraria’s top families, the Rossetti family’s treasure vault contained many rare and precious items.
Helena’s demand for their treasure vault was extremely greedy.
The Rossetti family had often given Helena good things and helped her gather information. Three of the five Necromantic Child Ghosts were obtained based on information provided by the Rossetti family.
This time, Helena had come because she heard that Leo knew lost Dao Techniques, not entirely to help the Rossetti family.
“Elder Helena, this…” Elder Redmond’s face turned ugly.
“What? Elder Redmond, are you unwilling? Your life was saved by me. Without me, you would have been killed by that boy!”
Helena turned her cold gaze to Elder Redmond.
“Elder Helena, please don’t be angry. Of course, I am willing,” Elder Redmond said hurriedly, cold sweat appearing on his forehead.
Elder Redmond knew that if he dared to say no, Helena would kill him on the spot.
“Hmph, that’s more like it,” Helena snorted coldly. “I will repay today’s grudge tenfold when I return. I will make sure that brat’s relatives and friends die miserably!”
At this moment, Helena’s hatred for Leo was boundless.
Just as Helena finished her threat, a streak of light flew past them and then turned to block their path.
“Old witch, you have no chance. Today you will die!” Leo stood on the Divine Dragon Sword, his eyes filled with killing intent.
“You… you actually caught up!” Elder Redmond’s face changed dramatically in fear.
“Sword Flight,” Helena said in shock. “It’s said that Daoist Spells can reach a level where one can perform Sword Flight. You actually achieved it!”
“Enough talk. Prepare to die!”
“You brat, do you really want to fight to the death with me!?” Helena’s voice was grating as she slowly gripped her black staff.
“That’s right. It’s a fight to the death,” Leo sneered, his eyes filled with killing intent. “This beautiful landscape below is perfect for your burial ground.”
Leo leaped off the Divine Dragon Sword, which flew into his hand with a gesture.
In a swift movement, Leo slashed at Helena with the Divine Dragon Sword.
Witches were not good at close combat. At this moment, Helena was no match for Leo.
Helena truly did not want to fight Leo anymore. With her Five Elements Necromantic Child Ghost destroyed, she had suffered a backlash and was not in good condition.
The sharp sword light of the Divine Dragon Sword pierced through Helena’s body.
Helena’s body in her black robe instantly turned into several crows, flying in all directions with loud caws.
Simultaneously, eight black shadows flew in different directions from the forest below.
As Helena fled, Elder Redmond also gritted his teeth and used all his spiritual power to escape into the dense forest in a random direction.
Leo was prepared. His divine sense surged out.
Among the eight fleeing shadows, seven were illusory, but one was solid.
Leo’s eyes flashed with cold light as he quickly locked onto Helena’s true form.
Leo decided to kill the old witch Helena first before dealing with Elder Redmond.
With a Divine Movement Symbol, Leo’s figure flashed as he chased after Helena’s true form.
In less than half a minute, Leo saw Helena’s figure in the forest.
“Old witch, you can’t escape,” Leo shouted coldly, sending out hundreds of wind blades.
The wind blades cut through everything in their path, felling trees and scattering leaves and branches everywhere.
Helena’s body flickered rapidly within her black robe, dodging the wind blades one by one.
“You brat! If you keep chasing me like this, it’s uncertain who will live or die.”
Helena hadn’t expected Leo to be so fast and easily see through her true form.
With no way out, she had no choice but to fight desperately.
Helena waved her black robe, summoning a small black altar beneath her feet.
The black altar was covered in mottled marks.
Leo’s figure descended from the sky onto the clearing before Helena.
“Old witch, you have nowhere to run,” Leo said coldly.
“Boy, if you seek death, I will grant your wish even at great cost!” Helena’s voice was filled with venom. “Forbidden Witch Methods: Death Rite!”
Helena held her black staff and began dancing on the black altar in an eerie manner as if performing a ritual sacrifice.
Dark energy surged from Helena’s body, filling the entire black altar with darkness.
Although Leo didn’t know what the old witch was doing, he knew he couldn’t let her complete it.
