Chapter 1318: Capture

The Formation Flag unfurled in the air, fluttering in the gentle breeze.
This set of Ghost Formation Flags was obtained by Leo when he killed the Black Poison King in the rainforest.
The basic function of the Ghost Formation Flag was to disorient ghosts and isolate them from their controller.
Although Leo was not proficient in ghost arts, he could still utilize the basic abilities of this Formation Flag.
A stream of spiritual energy surged from Leo’s body, splitting into twelve strands, each entering one of the twelve Formation Flags.
The twelve Formation Flags glowed simultaneously, their runes flickering and interweaving to form a formation in mid-air.
From the flags, a black, eerie light burst forth, forming a curtain of light that trapped five Necromantic Child Ghosts within.
“Break through the curtain and kill him!” Helena’s voice grew sharp with unease.
The five Necromantic Child Ghosts, hearing Helena’s command, swung their long swords at the black curtain.
The black light on the Formation Flags flowed, and a faint purple mist rose within the formation.
Absorbing the purple mist, the attacks of the five Necromantic Child Ghosts gradually slowed, and they began to wander aimlessly within the formation.
Seeing this, Helena’s eyes narrowed under her black robe.
“Children, what are you doing? Kill him now!” Helena screamed shrilly, unwilling to give up.
But her screams were in vain. The five Necromantic Child Ghosts continued to wander aimlessly within the formation.
A smile appeared on Leo’s lips.
The connection between the five Necromantic Child Ghosts and Helena had been severed by the formation. Now it was time to decide how to deal with them.
After a brief thought, Leo had an idea.
With a wave of his right hand, a blood-red banner with a black wooden pole appeared in mid-air.
Helena’s eyes narrowed again as she exclaimed, “Is that a Witch Clan… Resentful Spirit Banner? No, the Witch Clan Resentful Spirit Banner has black cloth!”
With another wave of his hand, Leo sent the Necromantic Spirit Banner into the center of the Ghost Formation Flag’s formation.
As Leo channeled his spiritual energy into the Necromantic Spirit Banner, its cloth began to flutter.
A blood-red vortex formed at the center of the banner cloth.
The vortex spun rapidly, emitting a powerful suction force.
The dense resentment surrounding the five Necromantic Child Ghosts began to howl as it was drawn into the blood-red vortex.
As their resentment was absorbed, the bodies of the five Necromantic Child Ghosts began to turn translucent…
“Stop it, you brat!” Helena’s voice grew extremely sharp in her panic.
Leo ignored her. With a change in his hand seal, a ball of spiritual fire rose from his palm.
With a wave of his right hand, the spiritual fire traced a blue arc in the air, enveloping the now translucent Necromantic Child Ghosts.
Under the burning spiritual fire, each Necromantic Child Ghost let out a piercing scream.
As their resentment diminished, their bodies became increasingly translucent.
Soon, faint wisps of blood floated from their nearly transparent bodies and were incinerated by the spiritual fire.
The floating blood was Helena’s essence left within the Necromantic Child Ghosts.
Once the essence was burned away by the spiritual fire, the connection between Helena and the Necromantic Child Ghosts was completely severed.
Helena’s face turned deathly pale as she spat out a mouthful of blood.
Injured and panicked, Helena finally lost her composure.
Leo waved his right hand to dispel the formation.
The twelve Ghost Formation Flags rolled up and flew back into his Damaged Storage Sack in succession.
Next, the Necromantic Spirit Banner also flew back automatically.
In the sky, five nearly transparent figures floated aimlessly.
The once terrifying faces of the Necromantic Child Ghosts now looked innocent and childlike as they drifted about in confusion.
“Children, come back!” Helena commanded shrilly, still unwilling to give up.
But her command had no effect.
Seeing the potential in these Necromantic Child Ghosts, Leo decided it would be a waste to let them dissipate. He decided to keep them in his Yin Spirit Pearl for future use as an attack method.
With a wave of his right hand, a pitch-black, icy bead appeared in his palm.
The Yin Spirit Pearl was a treasure specifically for housing ghosts. Ghosts could reside within it to cultivate at a much faster rate than outside.
Channeling spiritual energy into the Yin Spirit Pearl caused it to emit a black glow.
The five Necromantic Child Ghosts floating in mid-air seemed to respond to some call and looked towards the Yin Spirit Pearl.
Then, they all floated towards it together.
Their speed increased until they rushed into the Yin Spirit Pearl like moths to a flame.
Leo smiled as he put away the Yin Spirit Pearl.
“No! My Five Elements Necromantic Child Ghosts!!”
Seeing her painstakingly refined Five Elements Necromantic Child Ghosts taken by Leo, Helena let out a piercing scream filled with despair.
Helena was now utterly enraged.
“Old witch, prepare to die!” Leo’s eyes were cold as he looked at Helena, Divine Dragon Sword appearing in his hand once more.
“You little brat, I’ll tear you apart today!” Black energy surged wildly around Helena.
The chilling black energy soared into the sky, covering most of it in darkness.
Helena and Elder Redmond, who had lost an arm to Leo, were hidden within the black energy.
“Great Witch Methods, arise!” A sinister voice echoed from within the black energy.
A cracking sound like an eggshell breaking was heard as something seemed to be born.
Within moments, a towering figure over ten meters tall emerged from the black energy.
It was a massive and terrifying skeleton with white bones and red eyes like large marbles in its skull sockets.
The skeleton wielded a menacing White Bone Cleaver.
After mechanically turning its head left and right, its blood-red eyes locked onto Leo.
In an instant, it charged at Leo with its cleaver raised high for a powerful strike.
Leo easily dodged with a swift movement.
Channeling spiritual energy into his Divine Dragon Sword, Leo leaped into the air and slashed at the skeleton’s head.
The Divine Dragon Sword struck true, creating a crack that spread like a spiderweb before shattering the skull entirely.
Under the overwhelming power of the Divine Dragon Sword, the skeleton’s entire frame exploded into white mist and vanished without a trace.
“Hmm? Destroyed so easily?” Leo wondered aloud.
Logically, something summoned by an enraged Helena should have been stronger than both Bronze Corpse Puppet and Necromantic Child Ghosts.
“Something’s not right… the black energy…” Leo focused on it. “Fire dragon, come forth!”
He released a Skyfire Talisman which transformed into a massive fire dragon that charged towards the black energy.
