At such a short distance, the black longsword could not advance any further, as if it were tightly gripped by an invisible hand.
Brady’s face showed a strained expression as he tried to push the black longsword forward, but it was to no avail.
Trystan raised his right hand, forming a gripping gesture.
A black hand suddenly appeared in the air in front of him.
The hand grasped the black longsword and turned its tip towards Brady.
The black hand moved swiftly, thrusting the black longsword at Brady.
This miraculous technique caused Brady’s face to change dramatically. He quickly waved his left hand, sending a thick bolt of lightning to intercept.
With a loud explosion, the lightning, the black longsword, and the hand holding it all disappeared.
The powerful explosion caused the mechanical arms scanning the large cauldron to halt, and sparks flew from the power lines.
Brady had not used his full strength, and he knew that the figure in the black robe on the other side had not either.
Initially, Brady thought Leo was the strongest among them, but now it seemed that this man in the black robe was even more terrifying.
It was said that Atraria was a forbidden zone for foreign mutants, and Brady had always scoffed at this notion. Now it seemed true.
Brady decided not to hide his strength any longer and summoned his pair of black wings.
Brady’s transformation made Trystan lift his head slightly, though his face remained obscured.
On the other side, Leo felt pressured by the three opponents he faced.
After all, mutants were different from cultivators; who knew what strange abilities these mutants possessed?
The three mutants stared at Leo intently, as if trying to kill him with their gaze.
These three mutants consisted of two men and one woman. The woman had a typical fiery Western physique, wearing a tight outfit with long red hair. She was quite attractive, but the killing intent she exuded greatly diminished her beauty.
To her left stood a bald man with a face full of muscle. He was tall, towering over the red-haired woman by a head. He looked more like an underground boxer than a mutant.
To her right was a man in his early thirties with short black hair. Though somewhat handsome, his eyes were sinister.
The woman looked at Leo and spoke, “My name is Alya. I never kill nameless people. What’s your name?”
“Leo,” Leo replied calmly.
The bald man spoke next, “I’m Logan.”
“Jesse,” said the short-haired man.
Leo crossed his arms and scanned the three of them. “What are your abilities?”
The red-haired woman floated into the air, suspended mid-air with red currents occasionally flickering around her body.
The bald man took a pair of gloves from his waist and put them on, performing several standard boxing moves.
As for the white man, his entire right hand turned into liquid metal, quickly forming a sharp spear.
This scene reminded Leo of the liquid metal man from the Terminator movies.
“And what is your ability?” Alya asked from above.
“I’m not a mutant. Do you want to fight me one by one or all together?”
As Leo spoke, he summoned his Divine Dragon Sword and shielded himself with spiritual energy.
The three did not answer Leo’s question but instead launched a coordinated attack on him.
Alya’s attack was somewhat similar to Knox’s; both controlled electrical energy.
However, Alya’s electricity was peculiar, with red currents. Who knew what it would feel like to be hit by such electricity?
Two red currents shot from Alya’s hands, heading straight for Leo.
Logan’s attack also surprised Leo. He had expected Logan to engage in close combat with his gloves on, but instead, Logan threw several straight punches at Leo from a distance as if he were practicing boxing.
But these simple punches caused bursts of air, creating several faintly visible fists in mid-air that were not to be underestimated.
Jesse was even more ruthless. He directly broke off the metal spear formed by his right hand and hurled it at Leo like a javelin.
Leo did not fear their combined attack. He used the Mysterious Heaven Body Technique.
First, he dodged Logan’s air punches and then slashed diagonally with his Divine Dragon Sword.
Jesse’s spear broke into two pieces. Finally, Alya’s two red currents were intercepted by two offensive talismans that Leo cast with his left hand.
The talismans collided with the currents, creating two bursts of red light before dissipating into the air.
Having easily neutralized their combined attack, Alya and her companions were left in shock.
Moreover, the unique energy waves emitted by Leo during his attack further confused them.
Meanwhile, Knox and Vivian faced three mutants who stood out due to their clown-like attire.
The one on the far left wore black clothes and white pants, with bright shoes covered in long spikes.
The one in the middle was a genuine clown with painted face makeup, a red nose ball, short stature, and red clothes.
The one on the right wore black clothes and pants. He was thin and wore a faceless mask, occasionally letting out eerie laughs.
Facing these three clowns, Vivian showed a look of disgust and whispered to Knox, “Why are Sea Eagle Organization’s mutants such oddballs?”
“Who knows? But don’t underestimate them. I’ll take on the shoe guy and the clown; you handle the masked one.”
Dividing their opponents like cutting a cake, Knox assigned their targets.
Vivian pouted unhappily. “No way! You take the shoe guy; I’ll handle the clown and the masked one!”
Knox showed an expression of duty-bound determination. “Vivian, I’m a man. You have to give me a chance to protect you.”
Hearing Knox’s indirect compliment, Vivian felt sweet inside and stopped arguing. “Alright then, I’ll take care of the masked guy!”
With their targets assigned, Knox stepped forward and said, “You, you, and you-state your names.”
“I’m Bill,” said the shoe guy as he touched his spiky hair. “Atraria mutant. I’ll make you wish you were dead.”
