Maximilian lowered his sleeve and said slowly, “A year ago, I had a battle with Brady. I lost and paid the price with one of my hands.”
“I will gather the materials for the formation as quickly as possible. When the time comes, I’ll leave dealing with Brady to you.”
“No problem,” Leo nodded in response.
As long as Brady entered the formation, Leo was confident he could handle him.
The conversation ended, and Leo stood up and left the meeting room.
Outside, Knox and Vivian had not left yet.
Seeing Leo come out, both of them looked curious.
“Leo, what did Mr. Ramsey say to you?” Vivian asked curiously.
Leo smiled, “Nothing much, just asked if I had a way to deal with Brady.”
Thinking about Leo’s amazing skills from last night, Knox asked expectantly, “Do you have a way?”
“There is a way, but this is abroad, not like back home. It depends on whether Mr. Ramsey can gather all the materials for the formation,” Leo replied.
“Materials for the formation?” Vivian and Knox exchanged a puzzled look.
“I’m planning to set up a formation to deal with Brady. Let’s go back to our rooms and rest first. Mr. Ramsey will arrange the next steps.”
Back in his room, Leo took a shower and then sat cross-legged on the bed, entering a state of cultivation.
The next morning, after washing up, he went out with Vivian and Knox for breakfast. Since the intelligence agency still had no news about the Yongzhou Cauldron, they could only wait idly today.
However, Vivian couldn’t sit still. After breakfast, she insisted on dragging Leo and Knox to explore New York with her.
Because of the mission, Vivian had only been in New York for a little over a month and hadn’t visited many interesting places.
Since they had nothing else to do, it was better to go out than to wait idly in the hotel.
Of course, they couldn’t use Alden as their driver for personal leisure, so the three of them took a taxi directly to the Empire State Building.
The Empire State Building is one of New York’s landmark buildings, located on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. It held the title of the world’s tallest building for the longest time.
The Empire State Building is both a multifunctional office building and a tourist attraction in New York City, with many tourists lining up daily to take the elevator to the top for sightseeing.
Led by Vivian, the three of them headed straight to the 102nd floor upon arriving at the Empire State Building.
From the 102nd floor, one could almost overlook the entire panorama of New York.
Even after leaving the Empire State Building, Leo still remembered how excited and jubilant Vivian looked standing in front of the huge glass window on the 102nd floor.
At that moment, Vivian didn’t seem like an Esper with extraordinary abilities but rather like a neighborhood girl who had just received her favorite gift.
Their next stop was Rockefeller Center, which was Knox’s idea.
The reason was simple: having visited Rockefeller Estate, they couldn’t miss Rockefeller Center.
Rockefeller Center is also in Manhattan and consists of 19 commercial buildings connected at the lower levels.
In 1987, the Riceland government designated Rockefeller Center as a “National Historic Landmark.” It is the largest privately-owned building complex in the world and a landmark of Art Deco architecture.
Rockefeller Center is considered one of the greatest urban plans of the 20th century. Its use of public space set new standards in urban planning. The complete integration of shopping malls and office buildings made Midtown Manhattan, after Wall Street, New York’s second city center.
Rockefeller Center is almost a perfect representation of Felix’s paintings, including the distribution and height configuration of the buildings. The lower international buildings along Fifth Avenue gradually rise to the highest RCA Building along Sixth Avenue, with squares for public use interspersed in between.
The three of them played until evening before returning to the hotel. After dinner, Maximilian had no choice but to say those three words again-keep waiting.
Late at night, sitting on his bed, Leo interrupted his cultivation. He felt a bit restless.
If there was no news about the Yongzhou Cauldron, would they just keep waiting?
Leo didn’t want to waste time here; he needed to think of a way.
But what could he do? It was his first time in New York; he was unfamiliar with everything. If even the intelligence agency couldn’t find any information, it would be even more impossible for him.
Feeling frustrated, Leo instinctively reached for his phone in his pocket, wanting to chat with Sophia on WeChat.
As he took out his phone from his pocket, he also pulled out a black emblem.
Seeing this black emblem, Leo couldn’t help but slap his forehead. “Damn it, how could I forget about them!”
If you wanted to find someone or something in the Western world, spies and agents were nothing compared to vampires.
Vampires existed at all levels of Western civilization. Their long lives gave them wisdom superior to ordinary people.
Although vampires considered themselves a noble race, they also understood self-preservation and did not stand out too much. This led to their coexistence with ordinary humans.
Whether in Britain or the United States, vampires were undoubtedly the local overlords. Coupled with their mysterious transformation abilities, gathering intelligence was a piece of cake for them.
Leo remembered when he first arrived in London; he was targeted by vampires because he had taken the Holy Scarab. He remained unaware until they revealed themselves.
Leo got up and placed the emblem on the coffee table. Then he bit his finger and let a drop of blood fall on it.
The three-eyed raven on the emblem seemed to come alive. It moved its body and opened its beak to fully absorb the blood.
Then the three-eyed raven’s eyes flashed with a blood-red light. A strange wave emanated from the emblem like a radio signal.
Opening the window, Leo waited quietly for a moment. Soon, a three-eyed raven appeared on the windowsill.
The three-eyed raven looked inside for a few moments before jumping in and transforming into a cloud of black smoke before landing.
When the black smoke dissipated, a man in a black tailcoat appeared in the room.
The man’s face was pale, and his deep eyes looked at Leo. “Did you use the sacred emblem to summon me?”
Leo showed him the emblem in his hand and nodded.
The man took out something resembling a phone and took a photo of Leo.
After automatic recognition, some information appeared on the screen.
A smile appeared on the man’s pale face as he elegantly introduced himself. “So it’s the esteemed Mr. Bloomer. I am Viscount Luke. Welcome to New York; I am at your service.”
Leo said directly, “Viscount Luke, I need your help.”
