“Mr. Ramsey, there’s something I don’t quite understand,” Leo began. “Why is the Sea Eagle Organization after the Yongzhou Cauldron?”
Hearing this, Maximilian hesitated for a moment before slowly saying, “Leo, have you ever heard the saying, ‘When the Yongzhou Cauldron appears, the world falls into chaos’?”
Leo shook his head.
“The ‘world’ in that saying refers to Atraria,” Maximilian’s expression grew serious. “It’s said that the Yongzhou Cauldron holds a secret capable of shaking the very foundations of Atraria.”
A secret that could destabilize Atraria was indeed a terrifying thing.
“So, the Sea Eagle Organization already knows the significance of the Yongzhou Cauldron?” Leo continued.
“Yes, according to the intelligence WONDER has gathered, the Sea Eagle Organization has begun collecting the Yongzhou Cauldron. Currently, it is in their possession. We must retrieve it and thwart their plans,” Maximilian said resolutely.
“Mr. Ramsey, what should we do now? We’ve already alerted them. If the Sea Eagle Organization moves the Yongzhou Cauldron, we’ll be in the dark again,” Vivian said worriedly.
Maximilian habitually tapped his left fingers on the table and said, “Based on my understanding of the Sea Eagle Organization, they won’t move the Yongzhou Cauldron out of New York. After all, New York is their base.”
“The information about the Yongzhou Cauldron being at Rockefeller Estate was deliberately leaked by the Sea Eagle Organization to deal a heavy blow to WONDER.”
“Maximilian, what should we do next?” Knox asked.
Maximilian thought for a moment and replied, “For now, we should stay put and wait for our intelligence agency to locate the Yongzhou Cauldron.”
“Mr. Ramsey, even if we find the Yongzhou Cauldron, we are no match for Brady,” Vivian said softly, almost ashamed to voice her concern, but it was clear in the small meeting room.
Vivian wasn’t underestimating herself; after last night’s battle, she had a clear understanding of Brady’s strength, especially after his resurrection.
On their way back last night, Vivian had asked Leo if he was confident in defeating the resurrected Brady. Leo’s answer was straightforward-he had no confidence at all.
Maximilian also understood the current situation and wore a deep expression.
The meeting room fell silent, and the atmosphere grew heavy.
Leo didn’t know what to say; after all, he was just there to help, not to lead.
After a long while, Maximilian’s eyes showed determination as he said, “You all go rest first. I’ll figure out how to deal with Brady.”
“Mr. Ramsey…” Vivian instinctively wanted to say something but didn’t know what.
Maximilian pinched his forehead with his right hand and waved his left hand.
The three stood up simultaneously to leave the meeting room.
Unexpectedly, Maximilian looked up at Leo and said, “Leo, wait a moment. I want to talk to you.”
Leo was slightly stunned but sat back down, unsure of what Maximilian wanted to discuss.
After Knox and Vivian left and closed the door, Maximilian looked directly at Leo and said, “Leo, first I want to apologize for my previous cold attitude.”
Leo didn’t expect this and smiled at him, indicating he didn’t mind.
“Vivian mentioned you killed Brady once?” There was a strange light in Maximilian’s eyes.
Leo nodded. “Yes.”
“Brady has two lives. Can you kill him again?” Maximilian asked with some expectation in his voice.
Leo smiled wryly. “Brady is stronger after his resurrection. Honestly, I have no confidence in killing him again. But…”
“But what?”
“But I have an idea that might work. If it succeeds, we’ll have a good chance of killing Brady.”
Leo had been pondering this idea since last night.
Maximilian’s expression changed slightly. “What idea?”
“A formation.”
“A formation? What do you mean?” Maximilian didn’t quite understand.
Leo explained, “Using specific items to set up a formation that can weaken Brady’s power. If we can lure him into it, dealing with him will be much easier.”
Maximilian’s eyes lit up. “Great idea! What do you need for this formation?”
“A thirty-centimeter-long piece of millennium ebony as thick as an arm, a piece of corpse flower root, a threshold stone from an ancient temple, a dragon blood tree fruit, and seven-star exquisite…”
“Wait!”
Maximilian interrupted before Leo could finish. He had never heard of these items before and couldn’t remember them all.
He quickly pushed his notebook and pen towards Leo. “Please write them down.”
Leo wrote down the items needed for the formation and pushed the notebook back to Maximilian.
Looking at the list of over ten items, Maximilian asked uncertainly, “These items can set up a formation?”
“These are just the basic materials for the formation. Like building a house, you can’t do without concrete and steel. If Mr. Ramsey can provide these materials, I can set up the formation.”
Seeing Leo’s confidence, Maximilian was also encouraged and decided firmly. “Alright, I’ll handle collecting the materials!”
“By the way, Mr. Ramsey, can WONDER’s intelligence agency investigate Brady more deeply? It would be best if we could find his weakness.”
“This guy has no weaknesses. The intelligence agency conducted a comprehensive investigation on Brady a year ago and found he has no interest in women or money.”
“He believes in Satanism and spends most of his time in church when not on Sea Eagle Organization missions.”
Hearing this, Leo gained new insight into Brady; such a person with no desires was indeed terrifying.
“By the way, Brady has a peculiar obsession with suits. He likes collecting various expensive suits from around the world,” Maximilian added.
Leo immediately recalled Brady’s pained expression when his suit was torn. However, this obsession wasn’t exactly a weakness.
“Leo, look at my left hand,” Maximilian said as he rolled up his left sleeve.
Leo saw that Maximilian’s left forearm was mechanical from elbow to wrist with no flesh at all.
His hand looked normal, likely covered with synthetic skin.
“Mr. Ramsey, this is…” Leo didn’t understand why he was showing him this.
