The term “fallen angel” refers to those who defied God’s command, rebelled against Him, and refused to walk alongside Him. Fallen angels include Satan himself and the angels who followed him in his rebellion.
Fallen angels opposed God’s will and doubted Him, thus becoming adversaries of God, referred to by Ecclesia as the “great enemies of the world.”
In the battle between good and evil, the victors write history. Satan and his angels lost their war against God, were cast into Hell, and lost their radiant appearances and angelic names. They struggled in chains for their remaining dignity and pride against Heaven.
“Kid, you should feel proud. In ten years, you’re only the second person to force me to transform,” Brady’s arrogant voice echoed in the night sky. “I possess part of Lucifer’s legacy. Tonight, I’ll show you what angelic power truly is!”
Leo, well-versed in Western lore, knew the significance of the fallen angel Lucifer. God created the world, and all things were to submit to Him. Angels surrounded God in Heaven, receiving and executing His commands, assisting in managing the world, and praising His virtues.
Lucifer was once a six-winged seraph before God’s throne, the most beautiful and noble of angels. He assisted God, praised Him, and accompanied Him day after day, year after year. There was no dissent, no doubt, no war.
One day, God looked at the orderly world and decided to create a new, unique being. He made Adam in His own image and placed him in Eden to live freely. God then brought Adam to the temple, anointed him as “Messiah,” and summoned all angels to bow before him.
Angels like Michael obeyed God’s command with utmost faith. However, Lucifer hesitated. Angels had no freedom; they could not lose their dignity and pride. When Michael kindly advised him, Lucifer declined: “I have served God for millennia. In merit, I surpass Adam; as a six-winged seraph, I rank just below God. In status, I surpass Adam; I am fire within fire. In origin, I surpass Adam; I wield unparalleled power. In strength, I surpass Adam… Why should I bow to him?”
Before Adam, Lucifer refused to kneel. His followers also refused to bow. Confronted with defiance, God issued another command for Lucifer to obey. Yet in the face of divine authority, Lucifer still rebelled.
He could not abandon his pride or angelic dignity. He could not quell his jealousy of Adam, favored by God without reason. More importantly, he yearned for the right to make his own decisions and touch freedom. He did not want to see his siblings kneel before a human.
Once defiant, there was no turning back. Millennia of devotion to God were in vain; Lucifer’s heart was conflicted. Ultimately, he abandoned his faith in God and led his angels to the Ninth Heaven. He faced God with a straight back and outstretched wings, declaring war.
God commanded Archangel Michael to lead the angels into battle. Gabriel sounded the horn as former brothers turned against each other in fierce combat. Angels could not match God’s power; Lucifer was defeated.
God created Hell and cast Lucifer and his followers down from Heaven. Before leaving, Lucifer uttered words that shook the heavens: “Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven.”
From the Ninth Heaven to Hell’s deepest layer, Lucifer fell for nine days and nights, becoming Satan. His followers became demons.
Leo noticed that Brady’s wings were two while Lucifer’s were six. Could he really have inherited part of Lucifer’s power? Lucifer had near-divine combat strength; even a fraction of that power in Brady was terrifying.
At this point, Leo had no choice but to fight with all his might. He forced out his essence blood onto the ground pattern. The blood was absorbed entirely by the pattern, which then emitted a dazzling red light.
Leo flicked his sword tip; the pattern lifted from the ground and hovered at shoulder height before him. Leo formed a seal with his left hand and sent it into the pattern.
The pattern rotated to face Brady in mid-air. Leo’s lips moved as his Divine Dragon Sword glowed gold; he thrust it into the center of the pattern. A red beam shot from the pattern like a massive laser toward Brady.
Proud Brady saw no need for defense; he believed the best defense was a strong offense. His black wings flapped as a magical black light gathered at his chest, then a black beam shot out to meet the red beam.
The red and black beams clashed like oil and water-contact but no merging. There were no earth-shattering sounds or extraordinary sights; it was a battle of strength between gladiators.
Leo and Brady both showed signs of strain, sweat beading on their foreheads as they exerted their full power. They knew whoever’s beam lost would face dire consequences.
Time ticked by as the black beam began to overpower the red beam. Leo released his Divine Dragon Sword and used Mysterious Heaven Body Technique; a shadow merged into the red pattern.
He then summoned a raging waves talisman to bolster the red pattern’s power. The red light surged, thickening the red beam.
The black beam quickly disintegrated under the red beam’s assault and was completely dispersed. In Brady’s horrified eyes, the red beam struck his chest mercilessly.
“No…!!” Brady’s anguished scream echoed as his black wings turned to ash and vanished.
Brady fell from the sky, struggled briefly on the ground, then lay still.
Leo’s Divine Awareness confirmed Brady had no life signs left.
With the target destroyed, both the red beam and pattern faded away. The Divine Dragon Sword fell to the ground; Leo retrieved it.
