Chapter 1294 Fallen Angel

For some reason, Leo still had a bad feeling in his heart, as if Brady wasn’t dead.
*Clap clap clap…*
The sound of clapping echoed discordantly in the night.
Leo and his two companions turned around in shock, only to see Brady standing about seven or eight meters behind them with a smug smile on his face.
“Three people attacking at once, a coordinated assault, not bad. But unfortunately for you, you’re up against me.”
“My ability is learning and copying. I can learn to control water, electricity, fire, and more. I can also replicate myself. What you attacked just now was merely a copy.”
Hearing this, Leo and his companions exchanged bewildered glances, especially Knox and Vivian, who had never heard of such an ability before.
Typically, an Esper would have only one ability in their lifetime. Someone like Brady, with two abilities, was extremely rare among Espers.
Even having two abilities would be remarkable enough, but the fact that his abilities were learning and copying made it almost unbeatable.
“Now it’s my turn. Let me show you my power. I hope you can survive.”
As Brady spoke, he extended both arms to shoulder height.
A blinding flash of light appeared in his left hand, forming a lightning bulb.
Simultaneously, a scorching fireball appeared in his right hand, resembling a miniature sun.
Brady began to bring his hands together, merging the lightning bulb and the fireball.
A powerful shockwave erupted from Brady, sending waves of intense and terrifying energy towards Leo and his companions, making their bodies feel both hot and painfully prickly.
It was like a scene from a sci-fi movie where an alien spaceship activates its shield; a faint energy shield began to form around Brady.
Leo knew Brady was preparing a big move and quickly pulled out a talisman from his body.
The talisman transformed into hundreds of tiny swords, forming a sword array that hovered in front of Leo.
With a gesture, Leo sent the tiny swords shooting towards Brady like a shower of meteors.
However, the tiny swords couldn’t touch Brady’s body; they were blocked by the protective shield around him.
It was like raindrops falling into a calm lake, creating ripples but not breaking through.
Leo’s attack was meant to interrupt Brady, but Knox and Vivian stood motionless, staring ahead blankly.
When Brady’s protective shield appeared, both Espers knew that unless their strength surpassed Brady’s, they couldn’t break through the shield.
The lightning bulb and the fireball fully merged, and a huge phantom appeared behind Brady.
The eerie red phantom looked like some sort of animal.
The phantom shot into the sky, transforming into a blood-red light that disappeared into the night. At the same time, the merged lightning bulb and fireball vanished as well.
“Not good! Leo, Vivian, defend yourselves!” Knox shouted as a lightning shield appeared around him for protection.
Vivian also used her strongest defensive technique, encasing herself in a large water sphere.
Seeing Leo standing there without moving, she urged anxiously, “Leo, get in here!”
Leo didn’t join them but instead activated a defensive talisman named True Essence Protection Amulet. This talisman could not only defend against external attacks but also absorb and convert them.
In other words, if it could withstand an attack, it could counterattack with borrowed force.
The sky above Leo and his companions turned a terrifying blood-red as a dreadful energy wave pressed down on them, making the three on the ground look like they were in hell.
In the next moment, bolts of lightning struck down from the sky.
The lightning was bizarrely blood-red as if covered with blood-colored flames.
The sky and earth became one in the blood-red lightning, obscuring the figures of Leo and his companions until everything returned to silence.
Of the three who had been standing, two fell under Brady’s ultimate skill: Knox and Vivian.
Leo had a trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth and swayed but did not fall.
This guy was too strong; his power surpassed even Cedric’s by several degrees.
Knox and Vivian lay on the ground, blood pouring from their mouths, their eyes half-open in a semi-conscious state.
Clearly, their defenses hadn’t fully blocked the blood-red lightning.
Seeing Leo still standing, Brady made a sound of surprise.
Under the moonlight, Brady could clearly see the unyielding and disdainful look in Leo’s eyes. This look infuriated Brady.
Always arrogant, Brady felt insulted. He had been confident he could take down all three of them.
“You’re impressive. In all these years, you’re the first to remain standing after my Bloody Inferno.”
“But you’re still no match for me. Since you’re so determined to die by my hand, I’ll grant your wish!”
Brady’s tone was as haughty as if he were the ruler of this world.
Brady noticed a cold smile curling at Leo’s lips.
What was this? A final smile before death?
But why did he have a bad feeling?
Too strange!
Wait, what was he drawing on the ground with his sword?
No, he had to kill him quickly!
Brady’s thoughts raced.
Leo held the Divine Dragon Sword and quickly drew on the ground with its tip.
If one looked closely, they would see that Leo’s right hand was bleeding. Blood flowed down the Divine Dragon Sword to its tip, leaving blood-red lines on the ground as he drew.
Soon, a blood-red pattern took shape on the ground.
The pattern was very strange; it wasn’t runes or any recognizable shape but gave off an aura of terror just by looking at it.
Brady’s sense of foreboding grew stronger. He roared to the sky: “Come forth, Fallen Angel’s Wings!”
With that roar, Brady floated off the ground until he was three meters high.
In the quiet night, a ripping sound was distinctly audible.
The sound came from Brady’s back.
His expensive suit tore open as black feather-like substances began to emerge continuously.
At almost the same moment Leo finished drawing with the Divine Dragon Sword, a pair of giant wings sprouted from Brady’s back as he hovered in mid-air.
But these wings were black. Combined with his black suit and fierce expression, he looked utterly evil.
Leo looked up and saw the changes in Brady’s body. A word surfaced in his mind: “Fallen Angel.”
