Quentin’s face showed no fear.
He raised his hand and struck one of the daggers with a powerful chop. The thug’s arm was shattered by the blow, causing him intense pain, and the dagger fell to the ground.
At the same time, Quentin’s other hand reached for another incoming dagger.
“Foolish!” The thug sneered, thinking Quentin’s hand would be sliced open by the sharp blade. However, when Quentin grabbed the dagger, it was as if it had been caught in a steel vice, rendering it useless.
“You…” The thug looked up in horror.
Quentin kicked him in the chest, shattering his ribs and internal organs. The thug flew backward and fell to the ground, dead.
“Run!”
“We can’t beat him!” The remaining thugs turned to flee.
Quentin wouldn’t let them escape. He kicked the fallen dagger, sending it flying like a cold flash of light.
The dagger pierced one thug’s heart.
The running body fell forward, leaving only one terrified thug. Holding a dagger, he shouted, “Stay back, or I’ll kill you…”
Before he could finish, Quentin was already in front of him.
Quentin’s cold eyes locked onto him, causing the thug to tremble. Instinctively, he tried to stab Quentin with the dagger.
Quentin kicked the dagger out of his hand, breaking his arm in the process.
Then Quentin approached step by step, his eyes chilling.
Without a word, he lifted the thug with one hand and squeezed.
Everything stopped abruptly.
Charlotte watched in shock, her face pale. She hadn’t expected things to escalate so much, with Quentin killing all the thugs.
“Quentin, you-”
Quentin said calmly, “I’m entitled to do so. Don’t worry. Besides, these scum needed to be dealt with. Don’t forget my identity.”
Remembering that Quentin was an undercover agent placed by their organization, Charlotte breathed a sigh of relief.
“So, what should we do now?”
Quentin replied, “These thugs kidnapped a child and threatened us with knives. My life was in danger, so I acted in self-defense.”
“When they saw things weren’t going their way, they tried to kill the hostage. I had no choice but to fight back with all my strength.”
“Given my special mission, my actions today were within my duties.”
He made a call, and the police quickly arrived, sealing off the scene.
A stern-looking middle-aged man approached quickly. “Mr. Holland, thank you!”
“Your brave actions saved a child’s life. I express my deepest gratitude. These men were wanted criminals with several lives on their hands. You successfully eliminated these dangerous elements.”
“On behalf of the citizens of Stresall, I thank you!” The man bowed.
He knew Quentin’s identity but couldn’t say it aloud, following orders from above.
However, his eyes couldn’t hide his admiration for Quentin. This man was not just a significant figure but also a hero protecting millions of Striudan citizens!
Quentin waved his hand. “It was nothing.”
Seeing this, Charlotte finally relaxed her clenched fists.
It seemed Quentin hadn’t lied. He did have some special authority when it came to fighting crime.
“Now that it’s over, I’ll be leaving.” Quentin untied the sack to reveal a sleeping child’s face inside.
After checking the child’s breathing and confirming they were okay, he sighed in relief. He lifted the child out and said to Charlotte, “Let’s go. We need to get this child out of here.”
