Seeing a figure suddenly appear behind them, the expressions of the burly men turned hostile, with a hint of coldness.
“Kid, don’t meddle in other people’s business. Get lost!” one of the men growled, his voice low and filled with murderous intent, warning Quentin.
Quentin’s eyes turned cold. “What if I insist on getting involved?”
His gaze was terrifyingly icy. “You even go after children. You really are a bunch of beasts. Leaving you in this world is just a disaster.”
Although Quentin initially didn’t want to interfere, the fact that they targeted children enraged him completely.
He was a father and understood the despair parents feel when their children are harmed. Since these men had no rules, he wouldn’t hold back either.
A flash of coldness and a hidden violent intent flickered in his eyes.
The men’s faces turned completely cold. One of them gritted his teeth and said, “Kid, don’t push your luck. Playing with fire will get you burned, and you can’t handle the consequences!”
“Let them go!” Quentin shouted angrily. “Or I’ll make you wish you were dead!”
“You’re courting death-”
Seeing Quentin’s defiance, the burly men were infuriated. They had never seen someone so eager to die. Since he sought death, they wouldn’t show mercy!
After all, Mr. Edwards was waiting for their good news. If they were stopped here, Mr. Edwards would skin them alive later.
These men knew well how ruthless Urijah could be. Even those who lived by the blade didn’t want to cross that lunatic!
“What if I don’t?” Quentin sneered at them.
“Do you really think you can keep me here?”
“Kid, if you’re looking for death, don’t blame us. Die-”
One of the men, eyes gleaming with malice, suddenly produced a knife from his hand and thrust it towards Quentin’s abdomen.
He struck suddenly and at such close range that an ordinary person wouldn’t have been able to dodge it. The knife would surely pierce their abdomen.
However, Quentin’s hand seemed to have eyes. Without looking at the knife’s direction, he grabbed the man’s fist directly.
He pressed close to the man’s body and twisted forcefully!
The man screamed in agony.
In the next moment, his eyes widened, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth as if he couldn’t believe what had happened. His body went limp…
Quentin patted his shoulder. “Have a good journey. I won’t see you off.”
The man collapsed to the ground with a thud.
He died instantly.
The knife was still in his hand, but his arm had twisted back at an unnatural angle, driving the blade deep into his own abdomen.
Blood splattered!
The other men were shocked by the sight. What just happened?
These brothers were all hardened fighters, skilled and armed. How could they fall to this kid?
They exchanged glances and took a deep breath. “All together now, take him down!”
Swish-
Two men immediately drew knives from their waists. The blades flashed as they aimed for Quentin’s vital points, trying to cut off his escape and force him to confront them head-on.
If those knives landed on Quentin, they would take most of his life in an instant!
Charlotte, who had been watching everything from the side, clenched her fists tightly, her heart in her throat. She hadn’t expected these men to be so brazen.
They dared to draw knives in broad daylight!
If she had known it was this dangerous, she wouldn’t have called Quentin over to risk his life!
In the blink of an eye, as these thoughts raced through her mind, the two knives sliced through the air towards Quentin…
