“Overestimating yourself!” Bill spat out the words, raising his sword towards Leo with ghostly speed.
Though they were far apart, the silver sword light seemed tangible, carrying a sweeping force.
Ha, this move again!
Leo swiftly produced a talisman, summoning Skyfire. A blazing greatsword materialized, slashing upward to meet the sword light.
The two forces clashed evenly, resulting in a violent shockwave that swept everything around them.
Nearby trees snapped with a crack and fell heavily to the ground.
The blazing greatsword vanished, and Leo stood alone, looking disdainfully at Bill.
Bill’s once proud expression turned grave, his handsome face paling. His throat moved as he struggled to stand firm.
Only now did he realize he had underestimated his opponent; the young man before him was far more formidable than he had imagined.
Berger’s face also grew serious. If not for his Holy Power shield, he would have been blown away by the shockwave.
This guy’s attack method was astonishing-pulling out a piece of yellow paper to launch an attack. Who knew how many such papers he had?
It seemed they had to join forces to deal with this troublesome opponent.
One Skyfire talisman had injured Bill, boosting Leo’s confidence.
As the saying goes, “Be prepared.” Before leaving the country, Leo had prepared many talismans.
“I, Berger, do not fight nameless individuals. Who are you, and why did you steal from Westminster Abbey?” Berger seemed to forget his earlier threats and questioned Leo again.
“I’ll say it again: who I am doesn’t matter. And don’t accuse me without evidence. Why claim I stole from the church?” Leo retorted.
“Running out of the church in the dead of night-if not stealing, then what?” Bill said angrily, having suffered at Leo’s hands.
The more agitated they became, the calmer Leo felt. It showed they were beginning to fear him.
“You two are members of the Royal Faith’s Order of Knights. How can you speak so irresponsibly? Which eye saw me stealing? I just enjoy visiting Westminster Abbey at night.”
“Visiting?” Bill almost spat blood in anger and turned to Berger. “Berger, kill him!”
Berger moved to stand beside Bill.
Bill raised his Cross Sword high and shouted solemnly, “Lord above, grant me strength to cleanse this world of evil. Sanctification’s Retribution!”
Berger also raised his Cross Sword and echoed, “Sanctification’s Retribution!”
In Leo’s eyes, the Cross Swords in Berger and Bill’s hands turned into white beams shooting into the night sky. They merged and transformed into countless glowing Cross Swords, forming a terrifying sword curtain that enveloped Leo.
Wow, is this the foreign version of Gathering of Ten Thousand Swords?
Leo flipped both hands simultaneously, producing two talismans and activating them.
With two ancient dragon roars, two mighty dragons appeared-one of thunder and one of water.
The Cross Sword curtain shot towards Leo, while the dragons surged upward to meet it.
Countless Cross Swords pierced the dragons’ bodies, but none fell near Leo as the dragons spiraled around him.
In just a few moments, all the Cross Swords in the night sky vanished.
Two-thirds were embedded in the dragons’ bodies; the rest stuck in the ground.
Leo made a hand sign with his right hand. The Thunder Dragon and Water Dragon roared and dove towards Bill and Berger.
“Oh God, it’s an Atraria dragon! Use the Bible for protection,” Berger reacted first, quickly pulling a Bible from his chest.
Bill did the same, muttering prayers as he held his Bible.
The next second, the Thunder Dragon and Water Dragon struck Berger and Bill.
Blinding lightning engulfed Berger while surging water battered Bill.
The ground beneath them charred to ash; Bill’s spot looked like a flood zone.
The attack lasted only four or five seconds. When it ended, Berger and Bill were gone.
Done!
Leo clapped his hands and was about to leave when he heard rustling ahead. Squinting, he saw a figure slowly rising from the ground.
It was Berger.
Seeing Berger’s state almost made Leo laugh out loud.
No longer the dashing knight in shining armor, Berger looked like a beggar from a trash heap-his clothes tattered, face smeared with dirt, and sporting an outrageous hairstyle that marked him as a leader of nonconformists.
The only intact item was the Bible in Berger’s hands, emitting a faint holy glow.
“Bill!” Berger shouted.
No response.
“Bill, are you alive?” Berger called again.
“Berger, I’m here.”
From the darkness limped a mud-covered figure towards Berger.
Covered in mud with hair turned brown from dirt, Bill looked like a clay figure. Yet his Bible also emitted a faint holy glow without a speck of mud on it.
Bill reached Berger and was shocked by his appearance. “Berger, you…”
Berger was equally stunned by Bill’s state and could barely speak.
As proud knights of the Royal Faith’s Order of Knights, they had never been so disgraced.
For true knights, honor was everything-even more important than life itself.
To defend their sacred honor, Berger and Bill exchanged determined looks.
Leo watched them, raising his head slightly with a victorious air. “Honorable knights, it’s clear who is stronger now. I advise you not to obstruct me further, or don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
Berger showed no fear as he stared into Leo’s eyes. “Do you know our knight’s creed?”
Leo shook his head.
Berger glanced at Bill. They nodded and shouted in unison: “Humility! Honor! Sacrifice! Valor! Compassion! Faith! Honesty! Justice!”
