Charlotte felt a pang of guilt as she watched the scene unfold. The bystanders did nothing to help, and if this continued, the person in the car would die.
Seeing Charlotte’s worried and sympathetic expression, Quentin nodded, opened the car door, and walked forward.
A severely deformed car lay overturned on the ground in front of him.
Charlotte furrowed her brows at the sight.
Quentin’s face turned solemn as he assessed the situation inside the car.
“The situation doesn’t look good. The car is caved in, and it’s overturned. The person inside could be easily crushed.”
“We need to get them out immediately.”
Quentin crouched down, pressing his face against the ground to peer inside through the window.
“How are you feeling? Is there any metal piercing your body?”
“Or are you under significant pressure?”
A pale face appeared inside, with dry lips speaking weakly, “I’m okay. No sharp metal has pierced me, but there’s little space above my head, and I’m under some pressure.”
“Breathing is difficult. My left hand and leg are numb.”
Quentin glanced at the woman inside, feeling a sense of familiarity but not dwelling on it. He nodded slightly.
Taking a deep breath, he grabbed the car’s body with both hands.
He slowly applied force.
To everyone’s astonishment, he lifted the massive, heavy car from the side!
The crowd erupted in disbelief.
Was this guy even human?
How could he lift such a heavy car so effortlessly?
Quentin asked, “As I move the car, do you feel any discomfort?”
“No,” came the weak voice from inside.
Quentin lifted the car a bit higher. “How about now?”
“No problem.” Riya Shannon was utterly shocked inside.
This man had lifted the entire car? It was unbelievable.
Quentin gradually moved the car up and eventually managed to flip it over.
Riya felt dizzy as her body suddenly shifted. The blood flow reversed, causing her discomfort.
But at least the immediate danger was over.
Under everyone’s stunned gaze, Quentin punched through the glass, reached inside, and opened the car door from within.
“Thank you-”
Riya’s voice was weak, her lips pale. After uttering those words, she fainted.
Quentin sighed and unbuckled her seatbelt, carrying her out of the car. She had several bloodstains on her body, and blood was seeping from her forehead, making her once exquisite face look frightening.
Charlotte asked anxiously, “How is she? Is she okay?”
“She seems to have fainted. She’s lost a lot of blood and was trapped under the car for a long time. It’s a miracle she’s alive.”
“Let’s get her to the hospital quickly!” Charlotte urged.
Quentin nodded.
“Wait!” Charlotte exclaimed in surprise. “Why does she look familiar?”
“It doesn’t matter now. Let’s get her to the hospital first; time is of the essence!”
Quentin replied.
“Okay!”
Charlotte knew this wasn’t the time to dwell on it. The priority was to treat her injuries.
“Young man, you’re amazing!”
“Incredible!”
“Heroic! It’s so rare these days!”
The crowd praised him, giving him thumbs up and looking at him with admiration.
Charlotte felt proud as well. Even though the compliments were for Quentin, as his woman, she felt honored too!
They quickly put Riya in their car and headed straight to Springfield Hospital.
Meanwhile…
On a high building nearby, a young man with binoculars watched the scene unfold, his eyes cold. “Damn it! That woman was rescued?”
“Useless!”
“The car crash didn’t kill her; she’s really lucky!”
The young man clenched his phone tightly, his eyes filled with malice. “Find out who those two are. How dare they meddle!”
