Davina’s Pov:-
“Years back when you weren’t born… Olivia’s Dad, Jordan and Andrew were best friends from childhood,” she began telling,
“They both studied in the same school, same universities… Basically, they were together all their life…They both got a job in a famous E. M textile company, back then… Jordon was smart and had good skills… he was a hard worker and extremely passionate at his work… because of that, everyone used to appreciate him… he got promotions for his work… whereas your father was still at the point where he started…” Andrew kept glaring at her as she continued,
“He grew jealous of Jordan… that jealousy made him blind… he couldn’t see what’s right and what’s wrong… Jorden met Olivia’s mother Scarlet, who was the only daughter of the C. E. O of the company, Emmanuel Mackenzie… he married her and began looking after the companies of his father-in-law…Emmanuel loved his only daughter and trusted Jordan more than anyone… looking at Jordan’s growth… your father got so jealous of that he wanted to destroy him…” she said while glancing at him,
“When you were born… We went through a hard time… Jordon noticed our financial crisis and decided to help us… he chose to establish a company and made Andrew his partner… Olivia’s uncle was also working in the company along with Andrew and Jordan… the company began to grow and in no time… Jordan was recognised as a best businessman all over the country,” She said,
“We did the hard work and he got the name and fame,” Andrew muttered,
“Your father and Olivia’s uncle, Samuel, couldn’t see Jordan’s growth and decided to kill him and his family…” she said,
“Jordan, Scarlet and Emmanuel were going back to their mansion after attending your birthday party and… they got killed in an accident,” She said,
“You killed them….” Arthur said while staring at his father in disbelief,
“Yes… I killed them,” Andrew replied with pride in his eyes, there was no guilt or anything in his eyes when he said that.
Oh my god!
“I killed them because I wanted to make a future for you…” he said while staring at Arthur,
“No… you did that for yourself… your jealousy blinded you and made you kill him and his entire family…” Arthur yelled,
“Where was Olivia when this accident happened?” I asked,
“She was with us… Arthur wanted her to a sleepover and they left her with us,” Nadia replied,
“If you wanted to kill Jordan and his entire family… then why did you leave Oliva behind?” I asked, diverting the topic so that Arthur could calm down,
“Because if I kill Oliva… we would lose billions of dollars and millions worth of properties….” He replied,
“What?” I exclaimed in shock,
“After Emmanuel’s death… The lawyer explained his will… which said that everything he earned and Jordan earned would get to Olivia… before all that could happen, I made sure no one knows about this will while I took over all the companies and made them as ours… changed the names and completely turned them as ours,” Andrew said,
“No matter how much I hated her… I had to wait for her to grow and marry you…” Andrew said with hatred for her in his eyes.
“I wanted her to fall in love with you and marry you… after that, I will kill her and everything would become ours permanently…I was so close to success… you both fell in love and were about to get engaged but,” he glanced at Nadia and gritted his teeth,
“Your mother ruined it all,” He clenched his jaw,
“I had to,” She replied while lowering her head,
“I knew what your father was doing from the beginning, I tried to stop him but I couldn’t…” She said, “You and Oliva weren’t in love… Arthur,” She stared at Arthur,
“Your father always gave you wrong ideas… Samuel and your father brainwashed you both and made you believe that you are in love with each other… but you weren’t,” She said,
“I had to save you both… I desperately found ways to save you both from them and I found one,” She said with tears rolling in her eyes,
“I saw Olivia kissing Allen in a cafe… I asked her about it and she confessed her feelings for Allen to me… I decided to take this chance…” She continued, “I know you would hate me for this but I didn’t care… I didn’t want you to marry someone who you don’t love… I’m your mother, Arthur, I know you don’t love her… you were just in an idea of loving her and there weren’t any feelings for her in your heart… it was clear in your actions…” She said,
“I never saw you talking to her and taking care of her as you do with Davina… I never saw that affection for her in your eyes…” she said glancing at me,
“One day she came to me… telling me about her pregnancy,” she said while swallowing visibly,
“I took things in my hands… I know I was doing wrong with Davina but I had no other choice… I talked to Allen and he told me that he fell out of love with Davina…” tears rolled down my cheek as that day flashed in front of my eyes,
“After, Davina signed the divorce papers… I helped them get away from this country…days later, just before they went missing… I got a call from Olivia… she was telling me that Allen didn’t sign the divorce papers and they are planning to meet Davina…” She said looking at me,
“I talked to him and… he said he feels guilty for leaving you, Davina… he couldn’t move on until he gives a closure to you… he never got a chance to explain himself to you and he was constantly worried about you and your health… he got to know about your depression and he couldn’t just stop worrying about you…” She said,
I lowered my head while tears rolled down my cheek, he did care for me!
“and when they came back… they went missing,” She said glancing at Andrew,
“Dad, where did you find them?” Arthur asked glancing at him,
“At a hotel,” He replied,
