Davina’s Pov:-
We were now in the office where they held Samuel, earlier. They moved Samuel behind the bars with solid charges and proof. Last night after whatever happened, Arthur didn’t leave my side for even a second, it was hard for all of us to sleep.
What shocked me was, Arthur’s mom saved me from Andrew. She never liked me and always tried to insult me, I never expected that she would one day save me from her own husband. It was surprising not only for me but also for Arthur.
I was thankful for Nadia, before going back to my room I thanked her and she just smiled at me. The whole night Arthur was with me and April, we didn’t speak to each other even though we slept beside each other. What he said to his dad in pure rage kept flashing in front of my eyes and I couldn’t stop myself from wondering why he said that? Was It True? Does he love me for real?
When I glance at him, those words ring in my ear and a blush appears on my face automatically.
“Because I love her,” he said with anger and desperation in his eyes, the genuine concern for me flashed in his eyes when he stared at his father as if pleading with him not to hurt me.
I couldn’t just forget it, the look on his face when Andrew yelled at me that he would kill me. He was scared and I could clearly see that on his face and eyes. A smile appeared on my lips as his face flashed in my mind.
“Miss. Ellis,” I heard Mike’s voice, I turned my head and glanced at him,
“How’s Coop?” I asked,
“Doctor said that he’s out of danger but he needs to take rest since he lost so much blood, ” Mike replied,
“Thank god!” I sighed,
Coop saved me by taking a bullet for me. Yesterday, after we came to the mansion, everyone was in their rooms and I overheard Emily asking the maid to set a guest room for her, she said she could not sleep in Samuel’s room since he wasn’t there. I took the opportunity and thought to search for the Sd card.
I handed April to Coop and went to his room. When I walked to Samuel’s room to search for the Sd card, I saw Andrew there and the way he was searching for something and with tension clear on his face I got suspicious, I stood behind and watched him.
I could hear him mumbling something while searching, but I couldn’t clearly hear what he was mumbling and all of a sudden he threw the books off the desk and groaned in frustration. I heard him saying,
“Where the fuck is it,” He groaned,
I stood behind the door and was confused about what he was referring to, then all my doubts were cleared when I heard his next words.
“I should’ve just killed that bitch Oliva back there and it would have avoided all these… nonsense…” he said,
“Where did he hide the Sd card?” He muttered while looking around,
Hearing his words, I was utterly shocked and before I could run away from there he caught me and pulled me inside, I was so scared. He shoved me to the wall and began choking me, he confessed that he killed Allen and Olivia’s child and said he would kill me too.
All of a sudden, Coop rushed inside the room, I didn’t know how he sensed that I was in danger. He walked inside with April in his arms. He was shocked to see Andrew choking me and confusion was evident on his face.
“Stay back, Coop,” he warned,
“Mr. Spencer?”
“Get out, Coop,” He ordered,
Coop glanced at me and back at him, “No… Mr. Arthur told me to protect Miss. Davina at any cost,” He said and put April down.
Before he could pull his gun out and point it at Andrew, he pulled his gun and shot at Coop, Coop collapsed on the ground in front of my eyes. Andrew moved his gun to me and April ran towards him and clutched at his pants, begging him to leave me.
I stared at the gun with wide eyes but to my luck, there weren’t any bullets left in it and at the right time Arthur came and all that happened.
I could never forget what Coop did for me, I thought.
“Miss. Ellis, Mr. Spencer wants you to come to join him,” Mike said,
I nodded my head at him and walked inside, I glanced at Arthur who was sitting opposite ro Andrew, who had bandages on his head and on his leg. The doctor said that since the bullet hit his muscle, not the bone, it would take time to heal.
He was sitting in the wheelchair and staring at Arthur blankly, I walked towards Arthur and sat on the chair beside him. Arthur glanced at me while I sat down.
“Now, tell me, Dad,” he said staring at his father,
“Why did you do all this?” he asked,
Andrew blankly stared at his son, he didn’t open his mouth, “Dad?” Arthur called,
“Please tell us why?” He asked,
Andrew let out a sigh and glanced at me, “I did… What I had to do,” He said,
“Olivia deserves it,” He gritted his teeth,
“What?” Arthur stared at him in confusion, “Why do you hate her so much… you destroyed her whole life, Dad!” he exclaimed,
“Her child, her husband… you killed them both,” He said, “Why?”
“He will not tell you,” Came Nadia’s voice, she walked inside and pulled the chair with her and sat down.
“So… let me tell you why he hates her so much…” She said while sitting,
“I will tell you from the start,” She said, glancing at Andrew, who glared at her.
“Nadia!” Andrew warned,
“What? He has full right to know his father’s real face!” She said,
