He made Carol sleep holding her in his after giving all her medicines, after sometime Carol was in deep sleep and she hugged Lucas tightly as per her habit.
Lucas smiled, maybe because of happiness he was unable to sleep, he picked his phone from the side table and dialed Alice’s number and she received the call after the first ring only and said in a worried voice, “Is Carol fine?”
Lucas smiled and said, “Yes Mom, she is fine, in fact she said two words today”
Alice was surprised to hear him and said, “What, what words did she say?”
Lucas told him everything and also asked her, “Mom what do you think why did she say these two words?”
Alice replied, “Well, Lucas I also don’t know, but I think may be whatever she feels close to her heart she said those words”
Lucas was in thoughts for some time and said, “May be Mom”
Alice wanted to say something but was hesitating, feeling her hesitation Lucas said, “Mom tell me what is bothering you?”
Alice started, “Actually it’s about Mrs. Mittal, she is still unconscious, she is very much worried about Carol”
While Alice was saying all these Lucas remember how rudely he behaved with her in the hospital, he said ensuring Alice, “Don’t worry Mom, I will come home tomorrow with Carol and talk to Mrs. Mittal”
Alice and Lucas spoke for some more time and hung up the call.
Lucas was unable to think anything apart from Alice’s words, “may be whatever she feels close to her heart she said that words”
He was again jealous of his own baby, thinking she loves their baby more than him and ICE like seriously, she loves ICE more than him.

He was feeling frustrated, he turned to see her and the moment he saw her face all his anger and jealousy faded away.
He kissed her forehead, and was about to sleep when he heard Carol mumbling in sleep, “Baby, Ice”

The next morning Lucas got up earlier than Carol and made breakfast after finishing his morning routine.
He called his secretary and asked him to hire the best maid who can take care of Carol.
He slowly woke up. Carol finished her morning routine, he bathed her, although he felt aroused seeing her naked body, but he controlled himself and dried her body and made her wear a long frock.
He gave himself a reason to make her wear this long frock as it was cold outside, but the fact was he just wanted to cover her whole body.
He made her eat her breakfast and after that, he headed to his parent’s house.
He wanted Carol badly but at the same time, he didn’t want to hurt Mrs. Mittal and wanted to assure her that he will always keep Carol happy.
Carol was sitting quietly next to him, suddenly she kept her hand on her belly and mumbled, “Baby”
Lucas immediately noticed it and a smile crept on his smile, he thought to himself, ‘even though our first baby is not out of love, but stills she loves the baby so much, she doesn’t react to anything, but she reacts to only this word “BABY”
After the drive of half an hour, they reached William’s Mansion, Lucas held Carol’s wrist gently and walked to the living room.
The moment he entered the living room he saw the piercing eyes of Mrs. Mittal, she took long strides and broke their connected hands and slapped Lucas on his cheeks, poor Lucas can anyone believe that THE PRESIDENT and THE RICHEST MAN of the earth was hit twice within twenty-four hours but he didn’t mind anything until Carol is with him, Mrs. Mittal said, “Don’t you dare touch my daughter”
Lucas stood there silently, he silently stood there keeping his head down, he knew he was at, mistake but one thing he was sure and adamant that whatever happens, he is not going to leave Carol behind at any cost.
Mrs. Mittal angrily said, “How dare you take my daughter away from the hospital?”
Lucas said keeping his down, like a five-year-old kid whom his mother was scolding, he said, “Aunty, I know what I did was wrong but please believe me I love Carol and our baby”
“I was pissed and scared at the same time, I was hell scared with the thought of losing my baby”
Mrs. Mittal stood straight in front of him like a strict warden and said angrily, “How do you explain her kidnapping and …” she was unable to say the rape and she started crying hysterically.
Lucas walked towards her hugged her and said, “Mom, I really regret that, but believe me jealousy took over me and I was blinded, I was not in my right senses after seeing Carol hugging some other guy”
Mrs. Mittal doesn’t know what to say or to do, because she remembers an incident with her husband, it was just after their marriage they went out for dinner, but a guy was continuously looking at her, or she would say eye raping her.

At this moment she thought that men really have their brains in their knees, they get jealous easily not even understanding that their women would never cheat them if she loves them.
