Book:The Secret Surrogate Lover Published:2024-5-1

Jenny slowly lowered her hands, and leaned a little back, she suddenly felt a heavy weight on herself pushing her down, before she could realize what was happening, her lips were covered by something cold.
Within a moment, the senses in her body started working, all her cells were jumping with joy.
On her lips, she felt a kind of force that was winding around her, pulling her into bottomless chasm.
Her teeth were separated by soft tissue, which went on to inspect her mouth, Harold’s bows were locked, and his eyes tightly closed, he was putting all his energy into kissing Jenny.
For a moment, Jenny felt like she was going to lose consciousness.
She had to admit that she hasn’t let go of her feelings for Harold, sometimes she would dream about unrealistic scenes when she was going to bed.
But now she was actually feeling the hotness of his lips on hers, and yet she didn’t know what she was supposed to do.
She felt as if her consciousness went on a trip but came back again. Her hands started to resist, she didn’t want to continue.
The man on top of her was strong, both his arms were hugging Jenny tight to his chest, his hands locked behind her back, and when Harold felt Jenny’s resistance, his arms only hugged her tighter.
Jenny’s strength could never compete with that of Harold, and now she was even injured, when she realized that resisting wouldn’t help, she scowled.
Harold’s kiss was hot and wild, he has missed her all this time, and needed to let all his emotions out in this kiss, it was such a hard kiss that Jenny could barely breath.
Jenny closed her eyes and was resolute, she bit Harold’s tongue hard, which was so painful, that he pulled back immediately.
Fresh air entered Jenny’s nose, letting her feel much better, she raised her head to look at Harold, who was staring at her, his eyes filled with resentfulness.
Jenny didn’t know why, but she suddenly felt very sad.
She was just about to say something, when the care staff entered the room, saying, “Ms. Andrews, I bought the meat balls you like so much…”
She walked a few steps when she noticed Harold, and stopped to greet him.
“Yeah.” Harold replied, but didn’t say more.
Jenny felt the whole situation was a little awkward, and didn’t know what she should say to cover it up, so she reached out for the meatballs, laughed and said, “How do you know I like these?”
BAMM
The bowl with soup and beef meatballs fell on the floor.
It was as if someone hit the pause button, it was so quiet you could even hear a needle fall on the ground.
None of them said anything, but they all looked at the mess on the floor, in their own thoughts, with their own expressions.
Jenny was thinking that she just finally had a perfect chance to cover up the kiss thing, and then she messed it up pretty well.
The care nurse saw how the soup that fell on the floor had made the bed sheets dirty as well, she didn’t seem to have noticed anything else, Jenny was wondering if she should tell her about it.
Harold on the other side really wanted to laugh at the situation, but his tongue was still hurting, he couldn’t just let this stupid woman go like this.
After what seemed to be a really long time, the nurse said, “I will clean this up, you just sit and don’t move.” She went to the bathroom to get a mop and a towel, came back and started to clean the mess.
While she was doing that, she kept looking at Jenny’s pants, after looking at it for the dozenth time, she finally said, “Ms. Andrews, there’s also some on your pants…”
“Hm? What?” She lowered her head and took a look, her faces frowning, “When did that happen?”
Harold said coldly, “Just now.”
“Why didn’t you tell me when you saw it?” Jenny turned around and was just going to blame him, but then a different emotions started coming upon her.
She thought for a moment, then told the nurse, “Could you get me a pair of pants please.”
That was part of her job, so she nodded and went for the pants.
In that moment, the two were alone in the room again.
On Harold’s handsome face was the expression of distancing, his magnetic voice said, “I’m gonna get some food.”
He didn’t even wait for Jenny to answer before he walked out with his long skinny legs.
Jenny sighed, anything was fine for her as long as they didn’t have to stay in the same room.
She knew that she was being stupid. She hasn’t let go of the hate towards him yet, she had so many unhappy thoughts circling in her head, and yet she was seduced for that one moment, almost pushed the wall she had built for herself.
There are some things that only she knew if they are over or not, and she also knew that the things that happened between them won’t get solved overnight.
She sighed again. She had no mood to eat at all.
She laid on the bed and turned and tossed. She was deeply sunk in her own thoughts, and she got more and more annoyed. What was happening to her?
In the past, Harold could get her emotions up very quickly, and at that time, she was okay with it.
But she didn’t want that anymore. She just didn’t expect that Harold could still do it.
Jenny was not the Jenny from the past anymore. She couldn’t love someone without caring about anything else, she had feelings buried in her heart, that she should let go of.
The care nurse was still not back with her pants, the room was full of the smell of meatballs.
Jenny hugged her pillow with the healthy arm, and stared at the ceiling.
There were things she didn’t understand, and she needed and outsider to give her tips about them.
She let go of the pillow, and took her phone. She wrote a message, “I feel confused, and don’t know how to choose.”
She sent it, to her stranger.
Bing!
Harold’s phone rang, he took it and saw Jenny’s message.
The words in her message were short, but they made him stop in his walk, his brows knitted.
He really wanted to rush to her and ask, what she was so confused about? He was Harold, the person she could count on.
But he couldn’t do that.
He thought for a second and replied.
Jenny sat up immediately, and read the message, it only contained four words. “Listen to your heart.”
Listen to your heart.
What did that mean?
She laid down again slowly, leaning on her pillow.
Was her stranger telling her to listen to her guts and choose according to it?
But her gut was never right, she was afraid she might choose wrong again, she locked her phone, and was still as confused as before.
Harold was the person she loved with all her heart before, and he will always be unreachable to her, he was so noble, so elegant, an excellent person, she will forever be in his shadows.
Her and him, there was no turning back anymore, whatever happened, will always be there, but both of them are different people now.
A moment’s warmth won’t be able to make up for all of that, the misunderstandings and hurt will always be between them like a wall.
But James, he was gentle, he was stable, he was successful, even though his family was known and rich, but he had his own career. James had helped her so much ever since their childhood, whenever she needed him, he as been there for her.
