Shirley smiles at Patti without saying a word while nervously holding Yates’s hand.
Patti’s sight falls on the closely-clutched hands and a slight sly look appears across her eyes and said, “Yeats … oh no, I should address you my master.”
Shirley’s hands tighten and her heart squeezes, her eyes meet with Patti’s smirk.
Very soon, all the others notice them and walk closer towards them.
As an eSports master and a handsome man, Yeats attracts attention everywhere naturally.
Many young girls from eSports come up to greet with him during which Shirley and Yeats’s clasped hands are broke loose and Shirley is being casted to the side, appalled by the scene of Yeats’s being surrounded by admiring fans.
Patti walks towards Shirley with an extra glass of wine in her hand, which is obviously for Shirley.
When Shirley lowers her head, hesitating whether she should accept the glass of wine, Mack walked towards her with Karen following behind.
“Hi, what a coincidence!” Karen comes up with a smile, looking at Patti’s glass of wine with desire, she then grabs the glass of wine from Patti and takes a sip without hesitation, “Thanks, I never thought that you will still pour me wine after so many years.”
Patti’s face grows sullen, she grits her teeth and says, “Don’t mention it, I still have things to attend to, I’ll leave you guys chat for a while!”
Once Karen sees Patti leave, she quickly pulls Shirley aside in the corner and asks, “How did it go? Did you take him last night?”
Shirley replied in a low voice, “I got drunk and I had no idea what I did but I did wake up on his bed, it’s just that I don’t know if we have done it or not.”
Karen is speechless, “…” She has never seen such a silly woman!
She takes a few deep breath to hold down her anger before she asks, “Did you feel anything weird about your body? Your lower body, for instance…”
“Hawk Hawk…” Mack coughs from behind and scares the hell out of Shirley.
Karen lets go of her and she looks fearless and composed when compared to Shirley’s burning red face.
Karen takes Mack’s arms gently and says to her, “Be careful with Patti! Mack and I have stuff to do so we’ll leave first.”
Shirley nods her head, “Thank you, I’ll be careful.”
Mack’s eyes linger on her meaningfully before he leaves with Karen.
Yeats is still surrounded by that group of people and can’t get away, which is a reflection of his great reputation.
Shirley starts to feel like she is dating a star and walking on thin ice.
“Is this Yeats’s announced girlfriend? She’s not that pretty, don’t know how good she is in eSports.”
Patti leans on the wall of the corner, shakes her glass of wine gently, and grins at Shirley who is being surrounded by a few women.
Here comes a good show.
“Skill? You might have thought too much! I heard that she is a rooky and can’t even play a tank well, how is she going to be on the field? What a joke!”
“No way? She is a rooky?”
“A rooky dares to date our Yeats? Isn’t this what it called a toad hankering for a taste of swan?”
“About so! Look at her stupid face, a toad is better than her anyway!”
Shirley didn’t care what other people say before but now she feels extremely painful inside.
A few women surround her and speak to her in an intimidating way.
Shirley is feeling so embarrassed and wronged that she feels like she is about to cry any second now and her eyes are rolling with tears.
Yeats seems to notice the situation here and quickly pushes away those people and holds her in his arms, “Are you alright?”
Shirley raises her head to meet his eyes, his worry face is quite evident, which warms her a little but makes her feel even more pressured.
Those women do not dare to cause any trouble in front of Yeats and so they begin to disperse.
