Yates nods, “Hmn, I’ll announce the master-apprentice relation.”
“If I tell you, I’m the chosen one, do you believe it?” Shirley asks.
Yates is taken aback, then laughs, “You’re drunk.”
He carries her into the elevator until they are inside of the house, then put her down on the sofa.
Yates has never taken care of a woman before, let alone such drunken woman.
He looks around into the refrigerator and finds the honey his mom bought, then mixes some with warm water and makes her drink.
Shirley drinks up the honey water obediently then asks, “Yate, is your family very rich?”
Yate is speechless, “…”
“Is it?”
He doesn’t know what this little brain of her is thinking again so he nods, “kind of!”
“Compared to Mack’s?” Shirley wants to know how powerful Yates’ family background is, in her eyes, by the fact that Mack is able to give Karen an unlimited golden credit card, she smells the power of fortune.
“It’s incomparable with Mack’s, what are you thinking? Stop your foolish ideas, even if my family is very rich, the fortune still belongs to my family, not me.”
Shirley partly understands and is still trying to figure out what incomparable he was talking about.
Is his family not as rich as Mack’s or the other way around?
Her head is spinning with such puzzle and almost makes herself faint away, leaving behind the original purpose of this drunkenness entirely.
Right in front of Yates, she falls asleep.
Waking up next day, Shirley is shocked to realize she is in this unfamiliar bed which is not her own dormitory bed.
It takes her a while to recall that this seems to be Yates’s small apartment.
She lowers her head consciously and pulls away the blanket, only to find herself wearing Yates large size T-shirt.
Who… changed her clothes?
Perhaps…
“You’re awake?” Yates is standing at the door, holding a cup of milk.
Shirley pulls up her blanket immediately and stammers, “I’m… I’m awake, what’s… what’s happened with me?”
“What do you think?” Yates points outside, “Hurry, wash up and have breakfast.”
At the moment he turns his back, Shirley is so ashamed that she just want to hide herself in a hole.
What exactly did she do yesterday after she was drunk?
She doesn’t want to keep Yates waiting so she hurriedly gets up from the bed
After breakfast, Shirley thought Yates is going to walk her back to the dormitory but it turns out that Yates takes her to a friend’s birthday party instead.
At the door, Shirley is unwilling to take another step forward.
Yates is puzzled, “What’s wrong?”
Shirley’s eyes are full of fear, “Hmn, it’s not a good idea for me to go to your friend’s birthday party, right?”
“What’s not good about it? You’re my girlfriend.” Yates holds her hand and leads her inside.
Shirley is unsure, this hotel looks fancy and she is wearing the dress Yates prepared for her.
Walking into the lobby, everywhere she sees is decorated glamorously, the atmosphere is filled with richness.
She hopes more than anything to run away, such occasion for the rich is not some place she should be.
Yates seems to notice her upset feeling, he puts his arm around her shoulder and comforts her, “They are all my good friends and masters in eSports so don’t worry.”
“Yates, there you come!”
A familiar voice comes from the front, Shirley lifts her head and meet Patti who is walking towards them.
Patti is dressed up very pretty in a light blue sleeveless dress, sexy and appealing as a young lady.
With a wine glass in her hand and stepping on a five-inch high heels, Patti walks slowly toward Shirley, “Shirley, you come too?”
