Book:Heard That You Love Me Published:2024-5-1

Yates puts her into his car and says in a low voice, “How dare you? Wear like this and go to the bar. I don’t know quite what to say to you.”
He helps her fasten seat belts carefully, nevertheless, unexpectedly she, who is totally drunk, becomes so brave to drag him so hard and kisses him, not like before.
Yates stuns and puts his elbow on the seat, afraid of pressing down on her.
However, she wants a deeper kiss so she holds his neck enthusiastically.
Finally, Yates gets it. Shirley can be brave and bold when gets drunk.
As stupid she is, she is poor at kissing. Even if she can’t breathe, she doesn’t want this ended.
Yates pulls her away so that she can pant with blush, and she even asks with doubt, “Why did I can’t breathe?”
Yates doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry so he closes the car door and sits in the driver’s cab.
It’s so different when she gets laid out as contrasted with her usual self.
Seeing those wild hands touching him continually, he is distracted.
Yates presses her hands which touch everywhere on his body, and says in a low tune, “Stop that. I’m driving. It’s so dangerous.”
She withdraws her hands and says unhappily, “I wanna touch you as much as I can when I’m not sober. Or I have a clear head, I will be the vapid coward!”
Yates shakes his head and reaches his right hand to hold her left one.
Shirley freezes for a moment, feeling somewhere in her heart is melting. So great, so sweet as if she drinks the honey.
She looks over her shoulder and thinks it is wonderful to get fingers entwined!
And the temperature makes her heart beating fast and cheek blush scarlet with happiness.
All now she is hoping is that this road can be very long so that they can always be hands in hands.
She stares at him with obsessed love. His profile is so perfect, which she will never get tired of.
She doesn’t know how long it takes, but just hears Yates’ words, “Here we are.”
Shirley does not want to let go, looking at their hands entwined, feeling so a bit heartbreak.
Yates is about to get off the car, so he naturally let go her hand without thinking twice.
All of a sudden, she feels inanition and gazes at the hand, not knowing what to do. Those good feeling is fading away, which leaves her a sense of dreariness.
Opening the car door, Yates helps her unfasten the seat belt and carries her up again.
Shirley holds his neck, and blurts out, “Is it not dreaming?”
“No!” Yates replies her earnestly.
Shirley thinks twice and asks again, “Really?”
Yates is speechless, “…”
“Since it is not a dream, then forget it. I still can’t tell the word deep down my heart, or you will laugh at me.”
Yates feels speechless again, “…” It seems that he doesn’t have to tell the truth with a drunk woman.
“Yup, you’re dreaming.”
Shirley’s eyes sparkle immediately as if she’s been waited this answer for a long while, so she giggles, “I know it must be dreaming because it’s so sweet.”
“Yates, I like you so much since a long long time ago.”
“But I never dare to get close to you. Just standing far from you is enough.”
“But we’re going to graduate, I’m afraid that I will not be able to meet you again. As a result, I manage to date with you, granted that we will break up in the end, I won’t regret that we had a romantic relationship!”
Shirley speaks a lot when gets drunk.
Yates smiles and carries her home and then puts her on the couch lightly.
When Yates is about to bring a hot towel to her forehead, Shirley seizes his collar abruptly and asks seriously, “Is Lily your apprentice?”
