Book:Heard That You Love Me Published:2024-5-1

Shirley wrenches her hands away and leaves the place with seeping.
While Yates wants to follow her steps, he is mobbed again by those people.
“Get out of my way, I got things to do.”
There is no trace of her figure when Yates runs to the gate.
“Yates, what are you doing now? We’re waiting for you. Come on!”
Yates is pulled into the party and toasts to the friends of electronic sports games absently. What’s wrong with her?
Shirley now sits in the taxi cab. Her eyes are full of tears, suddenly, and she can’t help bursting out crying.
The taxi driver glances at her in the rearview mirror, and comforts her, “You look so sad. Are you lovelorn?”
Shirley doesn’t reply. Tears run down her face but she is intended to cry.
“Alas, now young people! Don’t be sad at those relationships that are unworthy. You gotta know there are still a lot of significant things in this world except it.”
If he doesn’t speak, she will feel better. But he says so, she cries even louder.
She is back to school with red eyes, and hides herself in the dorm without eating dinner.
She is still curling up in bed until Karen comes back.
“What’s the matter, Shirley?” Karen comes up close, finding Shirley has cried. Immediately, she is shocked, “You… You cried! What happened?”
Shirley suddenly holds Karen tight, and starts to cry again.
“OK. OK, could you tell me what happened?” Karen pats her shoulder and guesses, “Lily bullied you?”
Shirley shakes her head, and tries her best not to cry, “No, it is my fault, I’m too opinionated. I thought Yates pays attention to me, which equals that it’s enough that he’s willing to public our relationship! I’m so naive.”
Karen is confused, “…” Isn’t the girl stupid?
Shirley suddenly changes to smile, and reaches out her hand to pinch Karen’s stiff face, “Fine, give me a smile. I’m fine.”
“I can see you’ve all torn up, and your eyes are swollen like eggs. You still say you’re fine?” Karen could no longer understand the meaning of her words.
Shirley forces a smile and gets up to pack her schoolbag.
Karen asks, “Where are you going?”
“It’s Saturday today! I’m gonna go home and at least can have a meal cooked by my mother.” Shirley leaves the dorm carrying her bag.
Yates can’t get through to Shirley. He can’t find her either when back to school. It is the first time for him to feel hopeless and panic.
Mack is extremely shocked that Yates who has been invincible unexpectedly is killed by a rookie when they’re matching and playing games.
“Hey, Yates, are you all right?” Mack puts down his phone and looks at him, and then he found that Yates keeps drifting away. It’s unbelievable!
This guy keeps saying that they should take every round seriously. It’s a duty to his teammates and a respect for the opponents.
Today, for the first time, he is absent-minded!
“Yates! Hey!” Mack just walks up to him.
Yates just snaps out of it, “Ah? What’s the matter?”
“What’s the matter? Look at you! You’re like a walking dead! Dead! Damn it, this is the only one time that you’ve ever played with great sloppiness. Don’t you want to qualify with me?”
Mack is filled with displeasure. Yates rarely says yes to help him rank, but Yates is killed by a rookie at first. Does he really mean to?
“Well… I’m sorry. Perhaps I can save something.”
Later, Yates turns the round which is supposed to lose into a victory.
Mack then stops his complaints, whereas Yates is lost in his thoughts again.
“Hey, you’re not like yourself!” Mack comes over and stares at him closely, trying to find out something wrong.
