Kara heard James mention what happened last night. Her face turned red and she pretended to pinch him angrily.
James did not stop Kara and looked at her calmly.
James did not fight back. Kara knew that he was not in the mood to have fun with her, so she quickly released his neck.
Kara dodged and nervously held James’ hand. James wanted to make out with her.
James carried her to his lap, pressed a button, put down the block, and the person in front could not see the situation in the back seat.
Kara shook her head and wanted James to stop.
“Kara, I won’t touch you. You can touch me.”
Kara was shocked.
Kara did not understand him?
James was a doer and did not like to talk nonsense.
James knew what Kara was worried about and held her waist tightly.
Kara blinked her eyes and stared at James pitifully.
“Mr. James, here we are.”
In fact, they had arrived a long time ago, but Mason didn’t dare to speak. After waiting for more than half an hour, Mason heard that there was no sound behind him and dared to remind them.
“Well, where are we?”
Kara looked out of the window at the strange place and asked James in confusion.
“My mother once lived in the community.”
James got out of the car and led Kara out of the car. They arrived at the apartment that Vivian had lived in before.
No one lived there for a long time. When James opened the door, a musty smell came from the room, but James did not show disdain.
Kara walked around the room. The living room was neat, but the bathroom was in a mess.
“James, why isn’t the bathroom clean?”
“I don’t allow anyone to touch it. I just hope that this scene can remind me to revenge for my mother.”
Kara frowned.
Kara had mixed feelings.
Kara did not object to James taking revenge for his mother, but James would be very tired with hatred in his heart.
“James, what would you do?”
James was stunned. He rubbed Kara’s head with mixed feelings.
Kara didn’t get James’s answer and just held his hand.
“James, they are your family after all. If they apologize, you…”
James sneered. “Is an apology enough to erase my mother’s pain?”
Kara said nothing.
Kara knew that James was stubborn and it was useless to persuade him. But Kara did not want him to live in hatred.
The atmosphere became a little tense. James did not speak to ease the tension. He stayed in the room quietly for a while before leaving.
Kara wanted to hold James’ hand, but James dodged. Kara lowered her head in grievance.
They said nothing on the way back to the villa.
Kara got out of the car but saw James sitting still.
“James, do you have something to handle?”
“Yes.”
James didn’t explain and just asked Mason to drive away.
Kara watched the car leave quickly and frowned. She felt agitated.
Kara went to the studio to draw, took a shower, and waited for a long time, but James did not come back. Kara stood by the window and looked out.
Was James angry with what she said?
In the dead of the night, when James returned to the villa, he saw the light was still on in the room. Only then did he become a little gentle.
“Mr. James, there’s blood on your clothes.”
Mason looked at the blood on James’ sleeve and worried that it would scare Kara.
“It’s fine. Just go to rest.”
James glanced at his sleeves and frowned in disgust. He walked into the villa and unbuttoned his shirt.
After going upstairs, James first went to his room and took a shower. Then he washed the blood on his clothes.
When James arrived at Kara’s bedroom, he suddenly stopped and frowned.
James knew that Kara was worried about him, but he had carried the hatred in his heart for 19 years. How could he let it go easily without seeking revenge?
The moon was covered by dark clouds at that moment. James looked out of the window and felt bad.
James was gloomy.
In the end, James still turned and returned to his room.
With mixed feelings, James tossed and turned and suddenly heard rain pitter-pattering outside the window.
James lifted the quilt, got up, and closed the window.
It was cold, and the night wind poured into the room. Then James got awake.
All of a sudden, James ran to Kara’s room.
Kara curled up in bed. Then James went to close the window and turned on the air conditioner.
When James came to the bed, James saw some cold sweat on her forehead and then called her name worriedly.
Kara had a sound sleep and felt a chill. Then she curled up in bed. When Kara heard James’ voice, she opened her eyes drowsily.
“James, are you home?”
“Kara, do you feel unwell?”
James was worried. He picked her up and found that Kara was burning hot.
“Kara, I’ll take you to the hospital.”
“Don’t. James, I’m fine.”
Kara tried to get up and sniffed.
Kara touched her forehead and guessed that she might have been standing by the window for too long in the cold air.
“James, don’t be nervous. Maybe it’s just a cold. When Libby comes tomorrow and cooks some ginger soup for me, I’ll be fine.”
“No. We must go to the hospital right now!”
James was worried and got up to find her clothes.
Kara frowned and held James’ hand. She wore a smile and wanted to soften him up.
“If I catch a cold occasionally, it might build up my resistance. James, there’s no need to go to the hospital. I’m afraid of having too much medicine every day.”
James narrowed his eyes and stared at Kara coldly.
“Little fool, do you think I’m a busy body?”
“No.” Kara stared at James in shock.
James shook off Kara’s hand and sneered.
“Don’t you know how weak you are? When you have a fever, it will lead to a crippling scenario.
“Kara, who allows you to abuse yourself like this?
“Or are you angry with me?”
