I want to kiss you

He grabbed something from the hoodie’s pockets and I saw two cans of beer. My eyes widened in shock, wow. How does that even fit in there? I just chuckled. “Why don’t we drink for a while? Since this world is full of cruel things?” he asked and held out one of the canned beers from his pocket.
Grabbing the two beers, I threw it in the trash can, “Eion. You said you are ‘slightly drunk’ “I quote.”Don’t drink anymore okay?” I said.
He sighed. “Okay. Now, let’s go,” Standing up, we now walked out and I followed behind him. Good thing that he’s not that drunk, that he couldn’t walk on his own cause I swear, I wouldn’t be able to carry him all the way to his car.
Emma gave me a teasing look on the way and exclaimed happily, “My ship is sailing!”
I just rolled my eyes at her. When we were now outside, The rain had finally subsided. I spotted Eion’s black car and we hopped inside it with me seated by the passenger’s seat beside him. Turning on the engine, he started to drive away.
The ride home was quiet. It was not the usual boring silence. But it was a comfortable silence for the first time since I was with Eion. Probably because of our conversation earlier.
I turned on my phone and saw one unread message from Hannah.
Rehearsal was canceled. Hope you’ll forgive me, Snow.
-Hannah
I chuckled at her. Gosh, I don’t know if I should be angry at her or not. I mean, I just couldn’t bring myself. While at Leroy, I swear, I could feel my blood boiling. He and Dax probably schemed this. I have to get back at them for this soon when I see them.
Well, at least things turned out for the better. I was able to talk to Eion seriously, know what he was feeling, and also let him express it. At least something good happened.
I glanced at Eion to see him staring at the road, and he looked like he was thinking deeply, and I didn’t bother annoying him. It must be hard for them. Once we reached my house, Eion stopped it in the driveway and turned to face me.
“So, I think I have to thank you, even if you were forced to offer me a ride,” I chuckled.
He also chuckled, “It’s okay. Besides, we’re practically friends now, right?”
“I bet if you aren’t drunk right now you would be glaring at me and would have refused my offer. Maybe you will regret it tomorrow,” I responded. Because it’s true.
“Who knows,” he said in a low voice, but I heard it.
“You know, what if you are always drunk? I think I can handle it better than the normal you,” I joked. Why did I feel comfortable with him right now?
‘Because you weren’t enemies anymore.’ My inner self said.
“Um, I guess I should probably get going… so bye,” I said once silence passed us.
I was about to open the door when he stopped me. “Snow…”
I stopped at that and turned to him. “Hmm?”
“T-Thank you,” he stammered. My mouth opened agape, did he just thank me?
“What?” I asked, “Can you repeat what you just said?”
“You’re absolutely deaf,” he commented.
“No, I was just checking if I heard right. I just can’t believe the cold and rude Eion will thank me. I thought it wasn’t in your dictionary?” I said surprised.
“If you don’t want it then-” he shrugged, starting the car’s engine now but I stopped him.
“No! Did you know that I wanted to hear that?” I felt like a thorn was removed from my shoulders now that I know we aren’t enemies anymore…
He smiled, “Well, thank you. Because I hate to admit it, especially to the girl I hate-”
“Ouch…” I said in a fake hurt.
“-That it felt good to share it with someone,” he continued, just gazing at me.
“And I also hate to admit it, that I felt quite flattered,” I replied. Silence passed us, with the sound of droplets of rain from the window.
“Well, I need to go home… Bye.” I said awkwardly and jumped out of the car quickly to avoid being soaked by the rain, but what he said the next thing completely stopped me again.
“I want to kiss you.” He blurted out.
He grabbed my hand, leaned in, and pressed his lips into mine. “I’ve always wanted to do that.” He said after he broke the kiss.
It was just quick, almost like a peck but… I was stuck. I would have punched him, but I was too frozen and shocked to move.
Wait, calm down. This is all too sudden! He’s drunk for goodness sake! I am not going to take advantage of that!
Now I do not know what to do! Gosh, forget about it! Wait, that was my first kiss! Why did I let him do it!
