EPISODE FORTY SEVEN
THEME: Hermione, Ron and Harry
MOON STONE FORTRESS
AT THE CAMP
Juno walked into the camp’s cafeteria with an extreme gait that had everyone turning their heads around to watch her. There were less women in the Moon Stone Fortress warriors camp and it is of obvious knowledge that only the bravest of them all applies to be one of them. And also one with extreme strength and courage that could withstand the rigorous training they are made to endure.
Practically every male warrior has a crush on Juno, but they knew better than to make it known to her. Aside being good looking, cheerful and brave, Juno is known to be impatient, hardhearted and difficult to please. She would only do what suits her and this drives most of her counterparts crazy every time they had to deal with that side of her. She had risen to an enviable position in rank within the few years she joined the Fortress Army which was well deserving since she had clearly earned it.
Ron nudge his brother’s side Harry when Juno stood in front of the counter to make her order for food. The two of them were Hermione’s brothers and being triplets they agree on most things except matters concerning Juno.
It pisses Hermione off that both of her brothers has a deep crush on the same woman and to think that, she naturally doesn’t like Juno’s personality.
“Isn’t she beautiful?” Ron daydreamed, resting his head on both of his palms as he keenly watched Juno.
“If only she would look my way. I would really love to spend the rest of my life with her.” Harry added.
Both of their pupils were dilated as they stared at her. Harry was always quick to call himself back to order, but Ron was close to being in love with Juno.
Hermione and Lorelei exchanged a look as they sat on the empty chairs surrounding Ron and Harry’s table.
“Why the hell are you both staring into space?” Lorelei asked, looking perplexed.
Kissing her teeth, Hermione glared viciously. “These ones are a total write off. I told you some time ago that Ron especially has a crush on Juno and I can bet my life savings on it that his eyes are on her right now.”
Having said that she and Lorelei trailed Ron’s stare only for it to land truly on an unsuspecting Juno making an order for her food.
Lorelei scoffed in irritation and she flicked both men on their head with her fingers at the same time.
“Ouch! What was that for?” Harry whined as he rubbed at the affected spot.
Ron seemed less affected as he only let out a soft sigh and played around with his food.
“I can’t believe I have to come around to endure this shit every time.” Hermione lamented.
She never comes to the warriors base camp on impulse. But their mother Theta Brianna has made it a point of duty to pick a day to prepare an home made meal and have Harry and Hermione take it to Ron since he is hardly ever around. She refers to it as a bonding moment for her triplets. They had kept up the tradition since Ron enrolled into the force since eighteen. And he had saddled Hermione with the misery of watching him harass himself, not just that he had also tagged Harry along.
To keep her day from becoming extra strained and frustrating she had begged Lorelei to come with her since she was on a break from work. Lorelei wasn’t really interested in the conversation, she didn’t know yet if she didn’t actually like Juno. Reminiscing on what had happened yesterday between she and Jaylen she knew there might not actually be any form of relation between them both.
“Ask her out already.” She blurted.
Ron’s cutlery remained in the air. “Have you lost your mind, Lorelei?”
Hermione was laughing and Harry shook his head consistently. Lorelei looked confused. “What’s wrong with you all?”
“Haven’t you heard or you don’t just know?” Harry said.
“Know what?” Lorelei inquired with confusion written over her face.
Ron smiled. “I will tell you…”
“Don’t!” Hermione warned with a glare on her face.
Harry eyed his sister. “What?”
“Why don’t you want me to hear what they have to say?” Lorelei observed her friend suspiciously.
“You really might not like to hear what they have to say.” Hermione replied.
“We would be really quiet.” Harry added, obviously jeered up to discuss the topic.
Ignoring Hermione, Lorelei turned to the boy. “What’s her deal?”
“You must have heard people talk about Juno growing up in the pack house with the Alpha and his family.” Ron stated, enjoying the fact that Lorelei looked really attentive. “So, it’s believed that with her closeness to the Alpha clan she is expected to get betrothed to either of the brothers most especially the prodigal son due to their extreme closeness.”
“But why Jaylen?!” Lorelei voice tuned up, causing the attention of some others in the cafeteria to turn to them.
Hermione sighed. “This was why I said you didn’t need to know about it.”
“Why shouldn’t she know about it? It’s not like she is acquitted with any of them.” Ron replied carelessly.
“Shut up Ron!” Harry rebuked, when he noticed the change in Lorelei’s countenance.
Lorelei stared around pulling her lips into her mouth tightly. She probably didn’t have any problem with Juno as at few minutes ago but now she was beginning to feel like they would be sworn enemies as a result of the news she is just getting to hear. If Juno had chosen to be close to Jayden, maybe she wouldn’t be so bothered but Jaylen?! Jaylen was hers and hers alone! Her wolf gritted at the thought of Juno having Jaylen.
She tried not to worry about it too much because Jaylen had practically asked her to be his girlfriend and knowing how much she was becoming used to him she had accepted to be his in her mind with no doubt. Not caring about the history between Jaylen and Juno she promised herself to not allow Jaylen get taken away from her.
Hermione watched as Lorelei stifled her palm and obviously was chewing the hell out of her teeth.
“Take it easy girl. You really don’t want to chew your canines off.” Hermione told her.
“Why are you acting so concerned Lorelei? I should be the one acting this way knowing how much I feel towards Juno and to think that she would never be mine.” Ron settled into a pity party for himself.
“No one cares about your silly fantasy Ron!” Hermione snickered at him.
“You are just a kill joy.” Harry responded on his brother’s behalf.
Ron sat up, holding up his nose. “More reason I need to tell mom to stop sending you over here. I really don’t like seeing your face.”
“The feeling is mutual.” Hermione bickered.
Lorelei distantly took note of the siblings tearing at each other. Her mind was everywhere and she was becoming scared too. This was the first time she would be into anyone. She has heard of series of heartbreaks and has no intention of being a victim. That’s one of the reasons she had tried hard to prevent herself from falling for any of Jayden’s theatrics.
“I would take my leave now.” Lorelie announced as she stood up.
She hurried towards the cafeteria exit not answering to Hermione’s call. She would take a walk for some time just to cool off from being so angry.
