CHAPTER 47
Abe came out of where he was hiding and Ambrose looked at him.
“Why did you lure me here? If you wanted something you should have said it to me directly” Ambrose said coldly.
“I saw you sneaking around. What’s your motive for coming to Grey pack?” Abe asked seriously and Ambrose scoffed.
“You didn’t call me all the way here just to ask me that?” Ambrose asked with a mean expression.
“Of course, that’s exactly why you’re here right now. I wouldn’t lure you down here if I didn’t notice anything fishy. Just so you know, if you act way too smart here in Grey pack you will be caught. Everyone’s watching you so stay out of my business and stop eavesdropping on my conversions, you might get hurt” Abe said seriously then walked away, Larisa followed him.
Abe and Larisa sneaked into the pack house and head down to Basil’s chambers.
“Abe who’s she? I’ve never seen her before. I don’t think it’s safe for you to bring her to the young master’s chambers” One of the guards said and Abe looked around.
“I guess you didn’t get the order. My father summoned all the guards at Basil’s chambers and I’ve been looking all around for Basil’s lucky charm bracelet, please can you help me look for it in the garden” Abe lied.
“We will go ahead now,” The guard said and left with the rest of the guards.
“Larisa go in first,” Abe said in a low tone as he looked around to have a proper check but he noticed no one around so he went into Basil’s room.
Larisa went in and she drooled as she admired Basil’s room.
“Hey, you! What are you doing here?” Basil asked curiously as he came out of the washroom and shortly Abe joined them.
“Abe, what’s she doing here? You know so well, no she-wolf is allowed into my chambers and I don’t even know her” Basil said seriously.
“Don’t you trust me?” Abe asked and Basil rolled his eyes.
“What does that got to do with this?” Basil asked sarcastically.
“Well, she’s here to help me with something and I’ve known Larisa for a while now so you can trust her on my behalf. I don’t make friends with enemies you know that right” Abe said Basil sighed sharply and he stared at Larisa for some seconds.
“Let’s have a seat,” Basil said and they all sat down on a couch but Larisa sat next to Basil.
“Thank you,” Larisa said grinning from ear to ear.
“You look more excited than when I saw you at the academy” Basil teased and Larisa smiled looking away.
“You can do all that later but for now. Basil, you have to help me with something” Abe said and Basil stared at him curiously.
“And what’s that?”
“You have to leave the pack house with me, I have to take you somewhere very important but I can’t go out with you since it’s past sunset and again Luna’s coronation is around the corner,” Abe said.
“And what do you want to show me? Just like you said, I can’t leave now because tomorrow’s mother’s enthronement. It will be disastrous if they don’t find me tomorrow” Basil said seriously.
“And who said we would be taking long. It’s important you come with me tonight because when it’s tomorrow, it might be too late” Abe said and Basil looked at Larisa, she nodded at him. Agreeing to what Abe said.
“You’re acting very mysterious. Can I trust you?” Basil asked suspiciously and Abe smirked.
“What do you think?” Abe asked.
“Well, I know so well you’re trying to be good. If it was just you, you wouldn’t talk it out with me. You would have abducted me already” Basil said grinning and swiftly Larisa blew the sleeping powder at him.
“Hu…” Basil couldn’t complete his word when he fell unconscious.
Abe smiled at Larisa.
“He will be fine right? Won’t he hate me for doing this?” Larisa asked curiously.
“You worry way too much. He will be fine and it’s all going to work out just fine” Abe said and stood up.
He carried Basil on his shoulders and they ran out of Basil’s chambers.
Silvia saw them sneaking out with Basil and she followed them secretly.
Minutes later, Abe carried Basil to his hideout using one of Kent’s car.
Silvia sneaked around.
Abe noticed Silvia’s presence and he went around then covered Silvia’s mouth as he carried her into his hideout.
Abe tied Silvia’s hands and mouth.
“What’s she doing here?” Larisa asked curiously and Abe sighed tiredly.
“I also have no idea why she’s here but I noticed she’s been sneaking around. I think she even managed to get in the car trunk and that’s how she got here” Abe said and Silvia struggled to speak.
“I think she wants to say something” Larisa pointed out and Abe untied her mouth.
“Who the hell are you? Why did you abduct Basil? What do you want?” Silvia yelled and her gaze landed on Larisa.
“Wait a minute, I saw you at the academy today. What do you plan on doing to Basil for abducting him? Do you have any idea what will happen to you if you get caught? You might be executed for this” Silvia threatened and Abe laughed and sat on a couch facing Silvia.
“You think we don’t know that but why did you have to butt in. This is what happens when you get too nosy and what the hell were you doing in the pack house?” Abe asked seriously and Silvia scoffed.
“Trying to get away with my questions right? Fine, let’s see how you get away with this” Silvia said as she silencing try to transform but she was way to compressed for the transition.
“Save your strength, you think I’m dumb to make it easier for you to attack me. I’m curious about one thing though, why were you at the pack house? The last time I remember, you and Basil aren’t that close so why did he bring you to the pack?” Abe asked.
“We’re close and we’re friends so don’t insinuate things and why the hell am I answering your question. Silvia before it’s too late, you should let Basil go so you don’t get yourself into trouble. Aren’t you scared of the wrath of Alpha Devon?” Silvia said as she tried to scare Larisa.
“I’m more scared of myself because I can go to any extent to repay a favour. Alpha Devon and my father might not be close but we’re not enemies. The black wolf pack don’t go around looking for trouble but that doesn’t mean I don’t have enough power to get out of this unscratched, after all I’m working with the beta’s son so what do you think” Larisa said seriously and Abe smiled.
“Larisa sometimes I’m amazed by your bravery”
“This is wrong. I have no idea why you’re doing this and why the beta’s son is involved in all this but can you please wake Basil up” Silvia said slowly.
“Don’t worry about that. He won’t be waking till tomorrow so wish him a sound sleep. By the way, how far have you gone with Basil? I heard you want to the Alpha to be your master?” Abe asked and Larissa’s eyes went wide open.
“What! Is that you tactics of how to get closer to Basil? What the hell are you thinking? If you wish to have an alpha as your master, why not go ahead and ask your father? Do you have any idea how busy alpha Devon is? With all the infrastructures in Grey pack, that should tell you that your silly desires aren’t coming through so get your senses back together” Larisa said.
“Larisa is right. You might admire the alpha a lot for you to think of such but you should let go of that dream. Alpha Devon might be friendly to younger werewolves but I don’t think he will accept to do that. He barely even trains Basil, his only son. He’s way too busy for that” Abe said.
“Who are you to tell me all this? Don’t act as you know so much” Silvia said seriously and she recalled her little quarrel with Basil before he went to Emma.
Silvia sighed frustratedly.
The alpha seemed busy then as well. Silvia said in her head.
“It’s no use convincing you. Larisa, I will fulfil your request okay? Tomorrow might be too busy for me to do that but I won’t forget about it okay? I will try my best to drag Basil down to your pack” Abe said calmly.
“Really?” Larisa asked excitedly and suddenly the smile disappeared from his lips.
“Don’t beat yourself to it. Staying in the same space with Basil is okay with me. After all, I wasn’t expecting much. I just wanted to have a normal conversation with him” Larisa said with a smile.
Silvia chuckled.
“What’s funny?” Larisa asked.
“You sound more like a loser. If you like Basil then you should go for it with all your might. He won’t help you do that so you should do it yourself” Silvia said referring to Abe and he glare at her.
“I’m not a loser. This is more like love at first sight and I’m not desperate for attention. I’m contented with this alone, at least I know my limits unlike you”
“I’m not giving up my dream okay? I don’t care if the alpha ends up saying no to me but I will be contented with whatever he says to me because I’ve tried my best” Silvia said.
“You keep bugging Basil, I don’t think you’re in any shoes to give Larisa some hope when you’re trying to get him yourself” Abe cut in and Silvia glared at him.
“What the hell are you talking about? Why would I want Basil for myself? How on earth did you manage to get such a dirty thought on your mind” Silvia said sharply.
“You don’t have to deny it. I witnessed myself. When you played with Basil, I could see the happy look on yours. You were doing it because you liked it so don’t act all innocent. I may not dream high but at least I don’t lie to myself” Larisa said coldly.
“Why are the both of you trying to push it all to my side? I’m not interested in Basil so cut it. As I said, Abe can’t help you. I will help you, after all, I’m friends with Basil. Should I teach you how to get closer to him?” Silvia asked with a vicious smile and Larisa felt tempted.
Larisa looked at Abe but Abe’s eyes were fixed on Silvia as he glared at her.
“You’ve only known Basil for a few days so stop acting as you know him too well and don’t forget, you’ve been abducted so stop talking,” Abe said getting pissed and Silvia scoffed.
“I also have no idea why I’m talking to both of you. We’re supposed on the wrong sides so let’s not talk to each other” Silvia said seriously everyone kept mute for some minutes and Silvia cleared her throat suddenly.
“Just spill it out, I know you have something to say” Abe groaned.
“Larisa, how about you kiss Basil immediately after he opens his eyes” Silvia suggested with a naughty smile and Larisa blushed hard.
“You’ve never had friends right?” Abe threw in and Silvia glared at him.
“I wasn’t talking to you. Larisa, what do you think? You can do it right?” Silvia asked with a smile.
“Why are you suddenly trying to be friends with Larisa? You don’t have friends” Abe teased.
“Well, why would you suggest such a thing to me? I’m not..” Larisa blushed and Abe laughed.
Suddenly Basil howled loudly as he broke the robs used in tying him. Larisa was standing in front of him, he stood up and fell on Larisa as their lips clicked.
Larisa’s eyes widened in shock so did everyone.
