Kara’s injury was not serious, but James attached great importance to it.
She liked drawing. He worried about all her affairs because she was careless about herself.
Knowing that Kara disliked the smell of the hospital, James sent a few photos of her hand to Will. He asked if they needed to go to the hospital and what he needed to notice…
It is rare to hear James say so much. Will looked at those photos on his phone again.
“Her hand is good-looking with long fingers.”
“Are you kidding me?” James said in a cold voice.
“She was scalded. Applying some unguent. Don’t touch water anymore. Also, be careful when she takes a shower.” Will explained patiently. After thinking for a while, he decided to say something more.
“What a young girl. Her skin is so tender.”
“Will, if you need women to sleep with you, let Rory find one. If you say one more word, I will kill you!”
James hung up the phone at once without wasting time.
James did not care about his friends’ other jokes.
However, he could not bear the joke on his girlfriend.
“What does Uncle Will say?” Kara was worried. James seemed not happy.
James took a deep breath before turning around. He looked indifferent as he walked in front of her. He worried about her scalded hand.
He pinched her other hand. It was tender. Her fingers were quite long and soft. They were like the little paws of a kitten.
“James, what are you looking at?”
Kara blinked his big eyes in confusion. She felt that James was strange.
James did not answer her. Instead, he kissed her.
His little girl was tender and sweet.
“What kind of lipstick did you apply?”
“It’s strawberry. Can you taste it?” Kara laughed.
Arya had asked her brother to bring the lipstick on a business trip. It was edible.
“Then I want to try more.” He kissed her again.
When James had not lost his sense of taste, he disliked sour and sweet strawberries most.
But when he kissed Kara, he was addicted to this feeling.

At the dining table.
Kara took the chopsticks and was about to eat, but she was stopped by James.
“What are you going to do?”
“I’ll feed you.” James raised her bowl and wanted to feed her.
Kara frowned and stared at him blankly for a while. She patiently explained.
“James, it’s too exaggerated. It just was scalded. There’s nothing wrong with my hands.”
“Cut the crap. Think about yourself. How long did it take to get your hand recovered last time?” James asked and fed her.
Kara coughed guiltily. Last time, her finger was scalded because of her carelessness. It should have been fine in two days.
Then she washed her hands in cold water. It took two weeks to recover.
She couldn’t feel any pain. But James said a lot to her every time.
Kara puffed her cheeks and could only wait for him to feed her.
However, James deliberately stuffed a spoonful of rice into her mouth so that she could not chew it.
“James, I’m small and my mouth is small too. Wait.”
Kara turned her head to swallow the rice.
“I don’t want to eat rice. I want to eat dishes.” James raised his eyebrows and waited for her patiently.
James sneered. Kara liked to order him. He spooned another dish and stuffed a spoonful of rice into her mouth again.
“James, it’s too much. You eat.”
When Kara saw the spoonful of rice, she immediately dodged and pursed her lips.
“If you don’t eat, there is no fruit for this week!” He threatened with a cold voice.
Kara pursed her lips and could only open her mouth. She stared at James like a heroic warrior.
James licked his teeth as he suppressed his anger.
He ate half of the rice before stuffing it into her mouth.
“James, you are so nice.”
“Eat!”
James’s handsome face was gloomy and he looked at Kara coldly. It seemed like he was teaching a child a lesson.
James patiently fed Kara food. They kept talking. Libby who was in the kitchen watched them happily.
Ever since they got married, James spoke a little more and became soft.
Kara was stuffed. She lay on the sofa and did not want to move. She played her phone happily.
“Get up.” James suddenly snatched her phone away.
“What are you doing?”
Kara frowned with a little unhappiness.
“Go to the study.”
Ignoring her refusal, James had already held her little hand and went upstairs.
Kara wanted to sit in the living room for a while and chatted with Libby.
“Aren’t you stuffed?”
James did not look at her. He opened the door of the study and let her sit on the sofa. He sat down next to her with the computer in his arms.
Kara glared at James angrily when he mentioned the problem of having too much to eat.
“It’s because of you. You’ve been feeding me rice. I want to eat dished.”
James pinched her cheek and returned the phone to her.
James bought a new phone for her because the old one was broken. It performed better than the previous one and was good for playing games.
“Lie down. I’ll rub it for you.” As James spoke, he turned on the computer.
“No, you can go back to work.”
Because he was busy at work, Kara did not dare to disturb him.
If he had no work, she wanted to go out for a walk with him.
“Aren’t you blaming me for feeding you too full? Be good and lie down.”
He said in a harsh tone unconsciously.
Kara pouted, lying on the sofa and continuing to her phone. James rubbed her belly, which made her feel comfortable.
James looked at the email on his computer and kept tapping the keyboard. Suddenly, he looked around the study room and then stared at his fingers on the keyboard.
He struggled for a while and finally pressed the keyboard.
As soon as he pressed it, the study instantly fell into darkness, accompanied by a woman’s scream.
When he put down the computer, Kara hot into his arms and trembled.
“Kara, don’t be afraid. I’ll be with you,” James said. He touched her head.
“Uncle James, what should we do? The lights are broken.” Kara grabbed his hands and was very uneasy.
The ‘Uncle James’ revealed her fear. James pursed his thin lips and endured it.
“Yes, the lights are broken. I’ll fix them later.”
Kara was afraid and closed her eyes. Thinking of the situation at the Marshall’s attic that night, she bit her pink lips and hugged James again.
“Kara, there’s no one to hurt you. Are you still afraid?”
“Yes, Uncle James, don’t leave me.”
Kara wanted to leave the study, but she dared not stand up.
“I won’t leave you. Kara, open your eyes and look at me.”
The faint moonlight shone through the window, and he could see that her eyes were tightly closed. He held her face and tried to let her open her eyes.
However, Kara struggled to shake off his hand and got into his arms again.
