Jenny didn’t even look at the director when she was ordered.
She had never done such a thing in her life. Who did that woman think she was to ask Jenny to do it?
Jenny snorted!
She stood at where she was with her arms crossed and eyes fixed on the director. But the director was not angry when seeing the proud look on Jenny’s face.
“I will say it again. Get rid of the water in that bucket!”
“I’m not doing it.”
“Okay.” The director nodded, picked up the bucket, and splashed the water on Jenny.
“Ah!”
Jenny screamed and glared at her angrily.
“You… How dare you do this to me?”
“I am your boss, and you are my employee. If you don’t want to follow my order, you can quit!”
Jenny fell silent.
Jenny’s face was grim. She wished she could kill the woman.
“Grab the broom and clean the toilet!” Ignoring her attitude, the director ordered.
Other employees came over to greet Kara, “Hey, we got a new employee here. What’s your name?”
The employees in the department were all middle-aged women, so everyone was curious about the young lady.
Jenny eyed the cleaning staff coldly. Then she kicked away the bucket in anger and stormed off.
Everyone fell silent.
“Madam, where did that girl come from? How could she be so arrogant?”
The director didn’t even bother to comment.

Jenny returned to her home and got changed. When she thought about what Kara had said, her face turned livid.
She rushed to the Marshall’s and found Boa playing with the nanny. Jenny took a deep breath and walked to Boa.
“Boa, I need to talk to you.”
When Boa saw Jenny, she was reminded of what had happened last time. Scared, she held the nanny’s hand and refused to let go.
Jenny wanted to talk to Boa alone. But since the nanny just wouldn’t leave, she suppressed her anger and let out a warm smile.
“Boa, don’t you want to know about your mother?”
The girl let go of the nanny’s hand when she heard Jenny. Then she headed upstairs with Jenny.
But she kept herself away from Jenny when they walked upstairs. Jenny thought the little girl was walking too slowly, so she carried her.
When the nanny saw what Jenny did, she thought Jenny did like the little girl. As a result, she went away to deal with her business.
Jenny’s face changed the moment they got into Boa’s bedroom. She pinched Boa’s tender face.
“Boa, did you tell Kara the truth?”
Boa was hurt. Afraid, she wanted to run away, but she could not.
“I don’t want to tell her, but that woman figured it out on her own. It hurts, Aunt Jenny. Let go of me!”
When Boa cried, her snot and tears dropped on Jenny’s hand.
Jenny shook her off in disgust. “Boa, if you don’t behave yourself, your mother is going to stay in the prison for a longer time!”
“Sorry, Aunt Jenny! I was wrong. I miss my mother.”
Seeing that Jenny was leaving, Boa hurried to grab her hand and begged.
At the thought of the humiliation she had suffered today, Jenny felt aggrieved. She impatiently shook off her hand.
“Boa, I told you. This can’t be known. But you didn’t keep the secret. You’re a good-for-nothing!”
The more Jenny thought about it, the angrier she became. In the end, she turned to leave.
“Don’t go, Aunt Jenny! Please!”
Boa cried and chased after her, but when she reached the door, Jenny had already driven away.
She missed her mother. The more she thought about it, the sadder she became. She cried out loudly.
Davis had just returned from work. Seeing the crying girl, he picked her up in confusion.
“Boa, what happened?”
Boa burped while crying. She buried herself in his arms and told her father how Jenny had asked her to lure Kara to the room.
“Dad, I miss Mom. But Aunt Jenny said I made a mistake, and Mom can’t come back.” Boa was getting sadder.
Davis had been busy with his work recently. Since the SA Group refused to renew the contract with the Marshall Group, his other business partners also decided to stop working with him. Davis knew James must have been plotting against his company.
But he was surprised to hear the truth from his daughter. Irritated, he dropped Boa.
He was actually fooled by Jenny. A lunatic was terrible enough, and now Jenny was making things worse here! The women of the Bullock family were all crazy!
Boa was helpless when she realized her father was angry. Sobbing, she tried to take his big hand.
“Dad, I miss Mom.”
“Shut up! That woman might as well rot in the prison for the rest of her life. Get out!”
He kicked Boa away. The back of Boa’s head hit the door. The girl was only five years old. She knew nothing. She touched the blood on the back of her head and cried out.
Hearing her crying, the nanny hurried out. Terrified at the sight of the blood on the back of Boa’s head, she sent the girl to the hospital immediately.
Davis was stunned as he stared at the pool of blood.
He didn’t expect the girl to be so vulnerable. It was just a kick, and then the child was bleeding.
But the nanny was helping her. And he was not a doctor. Since he could not help the girl, he might as well go to deal with his work.
Jenny drove away from the Marshall’s. In a bad mood, she sped up.
Suddenly, dazzled by the bright light, she lifted her arm in front of her eyes.
She had a feeling that a big truck was driving over. Panicked, she turned the steering wheel to dodge.
But the car was too fast for her to stop. When the truck crashed into her car, her mind went blank. She watched as the truck smashed the glass.
Her brain was throbbing, and the airbag popped out. She smashed her head against it.
In the chaos, she felt like she was dragged out of the car.
She wanted to call for help, but she had no strength left at all. In the end, she fell into darkness.
In the CEO’s office in the SA Group…
With his little wife in his arms, James walked into his office and applied the ointment to the back of her hand.
Kara felt better with the cool ointment on her skin. She looked down and saw the man holding her fingers in affection. She kissed him on the face.
“It doesn’t hurt now?” James rubbed her head.
“It hurts. But it won’t if you blow on it.”
Hearing the woman’s soft and sweet tone, James looked at her suspiciously. But he did as he was told and gently blew on her.
“You are a silly man, James.”
Kara couldn’t hold back her laughter. She buried herself in his arms, seeking protection.
“I also hit the back of my head. It hurts.”
The man didn’t make light of it. He touched the back of her head and found a small lump. His face went dark as he ran his finger on it gently.
After a while, Kara was lying comfortably in her arms and about to doze off. Deciding to sort her out, James pinched her cheek.
“You just called me a silly man, huh?”
But he didn’t have the heart to put too much force on his fingers. He pinched her, but he didn’t want to hurt her. He held her face and gave a smack to her lips.
“Do you think you are almighty? Do you really believe you can cure me by blowing on my skin? Looks like you are a silly man.”
Kara did not think too much about it. She blinked her big, bright, amber eyes and stared at him.
“You’re a silly girl then. If it hurts, I’ll take you to the hospital.”
Kara shook her head at the mention of the hospital.
She didn’t like to go to the hospital. She had just stayed in one a few days ago. Surrounded by the smell of disinfectant in the hospital, she couldn’t eat or sleep well.
“James, I’m not going to the hospital. Would you blow on my hand again?”
She pouted and rubbed her head against his palm, hugging his strong waist like a spoiled child.
James fell silent.
Every time she acted like a needy, purring kitten, he would give her whatever she wanted willingly.
