Chapter 15 Called Out

A loud bang at the door made Ava jump from her bed in fright. Her eyes were round like a pair of rat’s.
“Everyone gets down to the dining hall in five minutes,” A woman shouted.
Ava’s stomach rumbled at that exact moment. She had barely eaten a decent meal in two days. She wouldn’t keep that up as a habit or she might faint. It was only the moon goddess that knew how she’d managed to stay without food.
She ran to the bathroom quickly, cleaning herself with warm water and some scented soaps that she wasn’t sure would give her skin the needed glow it deserves. It’s not that she was overly worried about her skin treatment. It was just a feminine trait of hers, to observe these things. There would be no change, but there would be an awareness.
That brought a sad smile to her face. Gosh, she better hurry or the food might actually get finished. Only the moon goddess knew how many people were in this house. She had barely acquainted herself with anyone. It was only Benjamin that she talked with.
In haste, she took out an oversized sweater and black sweatpants. She might be able to change her outfit later, before the weather turned to a 100degrees. She donned them on, and wore her black leopard slippers, then ran out of her room.
The noise that greeted her ears was beyond scary. Ok, that was a bit overdramatic. But, who actually talked without listening to the other person. Everyone seemed to be talking at the same time. It was pure chaos. Well, in a way, it was good. No-one would pay her much attention and she might actually eat her food in peace and go. Standard procedure for keeping a low profile.
She trailed the voices to the down floor, at the last room on the right. Looking into the room, she noted that there were at least fifty people in the room. They occupied every spot of the room. Their laughter and excitement rose in momentum. She felt like shrinking into herself. Maybe, she should have gotten her hoodie too? It would have made her less seeable.
She pulled her hands in the sweater, rolling it over them, while keeping her head down. Quietly, she walked into the kitchen like a lab-rat. Her eyes were counting the tiles as she walked, it would get her faster to the counter, where she’d serve herself with a huge portion of steamy delicacies.
A pair of slippers stared up at her face, and it wouldn’t go away. She tried to streamline herself between them, but ended up being shoved by someone. She finally looked up, and stared into the silver eyes of Nape.
“Can you excuse me for a minute?” She asked softly.
Nape looked at her in an unnerving way. “Yes, sure! You’re up early! Did it he fuck you or not?” She blurted out.
Ava blinked, not quite believing her ears. Who asked such an intrusive question? And, to make things worse, she was so loud. People were staring at her, to know what she’d say. They all wanted to be a part of the gossip.
“Do you ask people such questions at leisure? Honestly, I’m starving. And, according to Benjamin, we don’t talk about our Alpha,” She said quietly.
Carefully, she sidestepped Nape and moved towards the counter with her chin up. Nape stepped in line, her slippers making sloppy sounds as she moved. It needed work like she obviously did.
“Oh, Ava! I didn’t mean to ambush that way, but we’re all curious. You know, the first time I was in Alpha Jax bed, he wouldn’t let me do anything. He tied me on the chair, and fucked my mouth and tits like his life depended on it. I was on stitches for a week.” She gushed.
The whole room erupted in laughter. It was evident they’d heard this before, and were practically enjoying the banter like a couple of pups.
“Man, the memory never dies. You begged not to train for a week!” Someone shouted from the crowd.
“Right! I was completely disorganized. That’s why Benjamin puts me up front, and makes sure I do my squats and insane acrobatics like my life depends on it. At this point, I’d give the war trainers a run for their money. I’m that good.” Nape said with a laugh.
Ava barely saw the humor in the situation. She’d gotten to the counter, and before she said a word, a plate stacked with sausages and sunny-side eggs was passed to her. Next, a cup of coffee made its way to her.
She sighed as she grabbed her food, while looking for a place to sit. She wasn’t in the mood to listen to Alpha Jax very active sexual life. It annoyed her terribly.
“So, it’s fine. We’re all a family here. Tell us if he fucked or not. And, how he did it. We’re all dying to know. And since you’re not walking with a strange dip, we’re even more curious,” Nape drawled out.
Ava dug into her food and chewed heartily. It was so delicious. Swallowing down the food, she said loudly. “I told you, I don’t want to talk about what happened last night,” She muttered .
“Is it because you’re ashamed to tell them how bad you are in the bedroom?” Alpha Jax chimed in.
Ava almost dropped the plate in her hands. She looked up quickly, and met his dark eyes. It was oozing coldness. Looking down, she noted his outfit. He was on black, black singlet-shirt on black pants, with a black sneaker to complete the look.
“No wonder she’s so reluctant to share,” Nape whispered beside Ava.
Ava picked those words loud and clear, and couldn’t help the shame that expanded like a pool in her stomach. This man was just the worst master anyone would have.
“I…” She started off.
“You need to join me in my office this minute, slave.” He said firmly.
