Ava watched as he retreated from the room without a backwards glance. She quickly got up, trying her level best to ignore the looks that was thrown at her by the rest of the slaves, as she picked her food from the table. They were not as important as the trouble that awaited her in the Alpha Jax room.
She bypassed Nape as she went out, and almost tripped, if not for someone who held her upright. She mumbled her thanks as she left the room.
Outside of the kitchen, she could make out Alpha Jax’s broad back as he took a sharp bend along a corridor. In her haste, she ran along the path, to where he was retreating. Her body ached strangely, but she ignored it. Now wasn’t the time to fall weak, she had a lot to do today. And, with what had happened between them, she really needed to behave uprightly.
“Damn it! Slow down, this man! I swear, I’m hungry, and I need to eat,” She grumbled to herself, as she mentally willed him to stop moving.
He didn’t listen to any of her words though. When she got to the bend, she could barely make out a sight of him. He seemed to have completely vanished. With her free hand, she combed her hair backwards. What would she do now? She had no idea where his office was.
She angled her head front and back, and finally her eyes settled on the lone guard standing by the gate. She was back at the main arena. A sigh of relief escaped her body, and she made her way to the guard.
He was standing crooked, and as Ava walked closer, she noted that he had a deep frown on his face. He looked so annoyed, but she wouldn’t bulge now. She had to know where the insufferable man had vanished to.
“Hello,” She said tentatively.
The man looked up at her, with the frown seeming to go deeper into his flesh. “What do you want, slave?” He asked in a condescending tone.
She gritted her teeth, she needed answers, and enabling an alteration would not give her that. She looked at him squarely, no smile seen on her face.
“I want to know where the Alpha Jax office is,” I said easily.
His gaze cleared a bit. “You’re Ava! The new sex-slave,” He pointed out.
Ava frowned at him. “I don’t like that reference,” She said calmly.
The man smiled, like that was so funny. “But, it doesn’t change your orientation. You will get used to it, and by the look of you, you’re already in trouble. The Alpha’s office is the last door in that row,” He said calmly.
With stiff shoulders, she mumbled, “Thank you.”
He nodded curtly, and went back to staring out. She saw the tag on his shirt, which said, TONY LONE. She would store his name in her book. It was important to stay away from him, if her plans succeeded.
Ava broke into a run, as she balanced the plate repeatedly on her left hand. She prayed the plate wouldn’t shatter on the tiles. If it did, only God knew when she’d get a decent meal. She finally got to the last door that was talked about, rapped twice, and without listening to his command to come in, entered the room.
The room was illuminated by a blue light that seemed to cast shadows on his face. Alpha Jax looked beyond ethereal at that moment. She wondered how someone so handsome, will become the worst mate anyone would wish not to have.
“Alpha,” She managed to let out.
He simply ignored her, as he kept his head down as he did whatever it was that he was doing. Oh! Moon goddess! This man would never change at all. He was a…
The flicker of his brows, made her stop her thoughts. It would really be completely heartbreaking if he could read her thoughts. So, it’s best to keep quiet. She noted the porcelain wood desk on the side of the room. She would sit there, and eat her already cold food.
With that thought in mind, she made her way to the chair, sitting heavily on it. Its soft cushion embraced her, as she dug into her food like her life depended on it.
A force so strong grabbed her by her arm, pulling her backwards, as the chair knocked down on the floor with a cling. A gasp tore from Ava’s lips in disbelief. Still being held upright, the man’s hand tossed her plate filled with sausages on the floor.
“My office is not your personal dining, slave,” Alpha Jax’s voice rang dangerously close to her ear.
Ava tried to force herself away from his iron-clad grasp, but she could not. “You were busy. I…”
“Quiet! Not a word more,” He snapped coldly.
His hands sneaked into her sweater, and made his way up, till it got to her breast. He squeezed it painfully hard, and she tried her best not to cry at the friction that almost engulfed her.
“Please…” She whispered. “Don’t do that,” She pleaded once more.
He pushed her forward, and her stomach hit the wood, as her leg struck the fallen chair. A cry of pain escaped her lips. His rough palm slammed her hand in three successive moves, and to her shame, she got wet at it.
“You’re very disobedient. You love to do what you want only, without a care of the consequences. But, now, you will be punished. I would surely punish you, slave,” He promised.
She turned to face him abruptly, and shivered at the coldness that was evident in his eyes. He was completely menacing, and she wondered worriedly what the punishment would entail.
“I’m you mate, Alpha. Why do you always forget this! Why don’t you want to accept me?” She blurted out foolishly.
She mentally scolded herself for being so loose with her tongue. She had to learn to hide her emotions so he might be the end of her.
Ava’s heart sped up, as he leaned to her, placing both hands on either side of her, and successfully trapping her between the desk and his cold self. She thought for a frightening second, that he might kiss her.
“I’ve told you, I’m not your mate, and I would never be. Those words must not cross this room or else…” Alpha Jax said, as his tongues almost grazed her half-parted lips.
Ava swallowed hard. He raised a brow at her, like he expected her to say something. “Yes, Alpha,” She said at last.
He grunted in response, and moved away from her, like he had barely been there. Ava placed her hands on her chest, to stop the panic that threatened to suffocate her.
“Change that ridiculous outfit. I want you in maid’s attire with nothing underneath. Then, get your ass in here as you scrub the whole place clean.” He said easily.
She turned her head sideways, and he had a pen dangling between his fingers, as he rocked his shirt. She felt my nipple go hard at his request, and it annoyed her senseless.
“I…”
“You have five minutes. Get out!” He snapped, coldly.
Stunned, she gasped. He lowered his head back to his work, and she knew she was dismissed. Oh! Moon Goddess! She scurried out of the office, not looking at where she was headed, as one thought was in her mind, GETTING A MAID’S OUTFIT.
“Whoa!” A male voice screamed, as they both tumbled down on the tiles with a bang.
