Samantha’s POV
After a short run in the garden, I shape shifted back to human and laid on the floor naked, I did not try to even stand up, I just curled up there.
Alpha Kayden is my mate!! Perhaps the moon goddess finally thought highly of me. Maybe I had not been too unlucky, I may have been unlucky but this one time luck was so great, it felt so good.
Cassie wrapped me up in a blanket and I stood up with the blanket. I took a look at my shredded clothes and a smile parted my lips.
I felt stronger now, I felt much better, much stronger, now, I was a wolf.
“You are an Alpha!” Cara said and my smile grew wider even though I had no pack to lead since they were all in slavery.
“You know you have some explanations to make,” Cassie said to me as soon as we got into the quarters and I slowly nodded.
The most amazing news this day was not me shifting particularly but the fact that Alpha Kayden was my mate!!
“I remember telling you back then that our mate could as well be a beta but you said you were too low for that and now who is our mate? Alpha Kayden! The Alpha of all Alphas!” Cara said and I giggled nonstop.
“Does shape-shifting make one this happy?” Cassie asked me and I contemplated between telling her about Alpha Kayden being my mate or not but I decided not to tell her yet.
“I should talk it over with Alpha Kayden before I tell it to Cassie.” I said to Cara who agreed.
This very moment was my happiest, I felt fulfilled! This almost perfect man was my mate!!
“You look so excited,” Cassie noted out again.
“Let’s just go to sleep Cassie, I am just happy,” I replied her.
“Go to sleep? You have some explanations to do, you need to tell me why you have not told me about you being a wolf, you hid it from me!” Cassie said and I grabbed her hands, caressing them softly.
“I am sorry Cassie, I did not mean to hide it from you… I… It’s just always been my life to hide it away from others. I did not want to feel too left out from others.” I said to her.
“That is not enough reason but then tell me, how does it feel to be so powerful as a wolf? Your fur looked so beautiful, white as snow” she giggled.
“Really?” I giggled.
“But then you are a wolf, that means you would have a mate, right?” She asked.
“Yes I would but I have not met my mate yet.” I lied quickly.
“So once you meet your mate you and Alpha Kayden are over?” She asked.
“I and Alpha Kayden are mates!” I yelled in my mind.
“Maybe,” I replied to Cassie.
“No….. I was picturing the best romance between the two of you,” she grumbled
“What are you talking about again?” I groaned.
“Now that you are a wolf, Miss. Lauren can no longer bully us. You can easily knock her witchy face down.” she boasted but then I had never had any special form of training in my life.
We were trained a bit when I was in slavery but the guys were particularly trained and those that had shape-shifted so in a few words, I learned fewer skills.
“It’s not that easy. Lauren is stronger, she has shape shifted some years ago, right? And she must have been training, she is a strong she-wolf.” I replied.
“No matter what, you are still the best to me and not Miss. Lauren,” she said and I chuckled.
“Can we go to sleep now?” I asked.
“Why are you in such a hurry to go to sleep? Go to sleep yourself, I am not sleepy yet.” Cassie replied and I nodded.
I lay on the bed, with my back facing Cassie and then I giggled.
I remembered the mind-blowing kiss between me and Alpha Kayden.
“Seems like I would have more of it in the future,” I said to Cara.
“Of course, Alpha Kayden is so handsome and hot,” Cara responded.
“But then don’t you think he looked a bit cold? Didn’t he identify me as his mate?” I asked Cara.
“There’s no way that would be the case, Alpha Kayden has much sharper instincts than I do, he would find out even before we did,” Cara replied.
“Then why did he not say a word?” I asked.
“Maybe he is just surprised! I was surprised too.” Cara replied.
“That’s true. I can’t forget how he stuttered back there. It’s not every day that one gets to see Alpha Kayden stuttering.” I giggled again.
But even though I had said that his instant walking away even when he knew that I was his mate was not what I thought should be the appropriate reaction.
“Don’t think too much, right now, we should just be thankful to the moon goddess for bringing this blessing to us,” Cara said and I clasped my hands together.
“Thank you, moon goddess,” I mumbled.
“Alpha Kayden too… I guess he likes me even before finding out that I am his mate so, at this point, he would be over-excited too, right?” I asked Cara.
“Of course! We are his mate right now, the one truly deserving of his love and we are the ones he is going to offer it to, only us.” Cara replied.
“He should at least come to see his mate, right?” I asked.
I was being too much of a questionnaire, yeah I know that but then I was just simply too excited and happy about this new development!
“C’mon, maybe Alpha Kayden is still shy.” Cara giggled.
“Shy? Does not seem like Alpha Kayden.” I replied.
“Maybe he is going to come up with a huge surprise that would blow up your mind. It does not matter what it is what matters is that he is ours.”
Yes! Alpha Kayden is now my mate!
