Chapter 10

Book:Save Me Mate Published:2024-5-1

Samantha’s POV
Home? Where was home? It seemed to me that wherever this home was is going to be warm towards me than where I have always been my entire life.
But then, where exactly could he be referring to as home? His mansion?!
“Of course not” I mumbled.
“That could be possible!” Cara shrieked excitedly
“Why would I be taken to his mansion? His mansion must be for people of high status and calibre only, he definitely won’t take me there” I replied.
” I think he is going to”
“I don’t think he will”
” I think whatever the outcome is, it will be revealed in some minutes or maybe hours,” Cara said and I agreed with her.
The drive went on for a while before I heard Alpha Kayden sigh. I looked at myself, I hadn’t done anything nor did I say a word to annoy him.
“You’re having a cold and you’re still sitting by the window side,” he mumbled, closing the windows by using a button by his side.
“Do you realize that health is wealth? Even an orphan should know that!” He scolded me.
” I am sorry” I replied, my voice low and gentle.
The drive went on for some more minutes and then we drove into a huge estate which I was supposed to belong to Alpha Kayden.
We drove past several huge and beautiful mansions that I couldn’t help but gape at.
“So beautiful,” I mumbled.
If my eyes could speak, it would have at this moment told me to thank you for giving it such awesome houses to view.
The car zoomed into the grandest house in the estate so far and then the car halted, screeching to a halt.
“Get down from the car,” Alpha Kayden said to me and this time I quickly did, even before he got out of the car.
“Follow me.” he walked into the house while I still stared around, admiring the beauty of the house.
“Faster Mantha”
I stopped gazing around and quickened my pace. I stopped a few meters away from him and then we both walked further into the amazing house.
“If this house is still on earth, then how would heaven look like?” I shrieked excitedly to Cara.
” And this is now your home!”
“Really? What if he just brought me here to pick some things and drop me at ‘home'”
” Mantha” his voice interrupted the discussion.
“Yes Alpha”
“Get into the room” he ordered, standing beside a door.
” Yes Alpha” I mumbled and pushed open the door. I stepped into the room that was exquisitely decorated.
The room was painted white, there was a black wardrobe there that seemed to be a whole different sort of attraction on its own.
Alpha Kayden walked into the room too without uttering a word to me so I decided to ask the question that was going on in my mind.
“Alpha Kayden,” I called but he didn’t even look backwards but I knew he was listening.
“Is this the home you said you are taking me to?” I asked politely.
“Is it not home enough?” He asked.
“Would it have taken him much to say yes?” Cara asked.
“It is Alpha Kayden… I am… I am just surprised”
“Here we go with you stuttering again.” he shook his head.
“Have a good rest, for now, you would have to work later,” he added.
“As a slave?” I thought to myself.
“I hope that won’t be the case” I mumbled, clasping my hands together in a praying stance.
I opened my already closed eyes and saw Alpha Kayden staring at me with a blank expression. I quickly looked away from him.
What might be possibly be running through his mind?
I heard the opening of the door and that was when I realized that he had exited the room into his bathroom.
I looked around the room with a smile plastered on my face, the things here were just too beautiful. I wished Granny too could see them.

I woke up from the sofa, my neck was a bit sore due to the position in which I had slept.
I got up from the sofa and looked around with a slight pout on my face.
“Alpha Kayden” I called but there was no response.
“Alpha Kayden” I called again but was still welcomed by the silence, I looked out of the window, it was quite bright outside already.
“Where could he be?” I mumbled.
“Off to work maybe” Cara replied.
“Cara, I thought you hated the alpha of alphas so much, you’ve seen him now, why don’t you take it out on him?”
“Are you kidding me right now? You want the both of us to lose our lives?” She asked and I chuckled softly, that was probably the brightest expression on my face in years.
“Do you think he knows about the issue of slavery?” She asked.
“I don’t know Cara but I won’t tell him I am a slave, I can’t do that” I shook my head slightly.
I walked over to the door and turned the knob slowly, the door opened and I stepped out.
“Alpha Kayden?” I called, hoping he was somewhere around.
I heard a loud harsh voice call out directly to me.
“Who are you?”

Kayden’s POV
I took a long bath, thinking about nothing in particular. I picked up a towel and dried my wet body.
I wrapped another towel around my waist and stepped out into my room to find her already sleeping on my sofa.
Usually, the act would have annoyed me ordinarily but then she had to at least sleep, right? She knows no other places in this house.
I dressed up while keeping my eyes on the time, I was going to have the meeting with the other alphas at 7 am. I dressed up in a few minutes and glanced at Mantha before stepping out of the room.
Immediately I was out, my mind linked with Davis.
“You’re back?” I asked, getting straight to the point.
Greetings to me were a waste of time, why would you spend time greeting when you can get straight to the point.
“Yes alpha” he replied.
“Good, let’s meet up at my office, you would have to relate the details of the pack to the other alphas,” I said to him, I didn’t need to ask him if he had contacted the other alphas because I was sure he had done that.
“I would be there very soon, just going to take a….”
I ended the mind link before he could finish speaking, I knew what he was going to say, he was just going to tell me he was going to take a bath.
I got into my car and dropped my suitcase, I ignited the car and drove off to the office.
The office was still quite deserted, they were just a few people around.
“Good morning sir”
“Good morning sir”
I walked amidst the several various greetings to the elevator. I walked right into it and in a few seconds, I was out of the elevator.
I walked into my office and took my seat, pulling off my jacket. I sat there, reviewing several documents and dropping some of them, I was utterly dissatisfied with those.
My phone rang and I picked it up to check the caller ID, mum.
“Hello son” she screamed into my ears as soon as I had picked up the call.
“Morning mum”
“When are you going to be back from where you went to?” She asked.
“I am back already,” I replied to her.
“You’re back? So soon? Where are you then?” She asked.
“At work”
“So early? You should have taken a break, you need to take out time to rest”
“I am doing perfectly fine, will rest when I’m back home. I’ve got to go mum, love you” I mumbled and ended the call before she would bombard me with several other questions.
The door opened and Davis stepped in.
“Good morning alpha”
“It’s almost time, the alphas are here?” I asked and he sighed.
I had just ignored his greetings.
“Yes, they are,” he replied
“Take them to our meeting room, I will be there soon”
